Climate Equity & Disaster Relief: Climate change does not impact every community equally, and it is incumbent upon us to implement inclusive solutions that do not leave anyone behind. The GM Climate Equity Fund aims to help fund organizations that are closing the climate equity gap at the community level and across three key areas: sustainable jobs, access to sustainable transportation and community climate action.
Responsibilities may include:
Supporting the Climate Equity and Disaster Relief program officer with various projects, including idea development for grantmaking strategy
Producing insights from grantmaking data leading to new ideas
Preparing emails and other correspondence as required
Reviewing and processing grant applications
Meeting with potential and existing nonprofits on behalf of GM
Researching potential nonprofit organizations that align with the fund strategy
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Environmental Sciences, Social Work or related field
Must be graduating between December 2023 and June 2025
Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
Able to work full-time - 40 hours per week during the summer months
Strong commitment to the fundโs vision and values with the ability to demonstrate that commitment in daily interactions.

Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Analytics, your main goal is to generate business insights from the combination of external data, client data, and Arena generated data. As a Data Analyst, you will play an important role in new business generation, current client engagement and expansion, and ongoing operations. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for creating and effectively communicating timely and accurate analysis. We are looking for a strong, dynamic Data Analyst who has a penchant for structured/logical thinking, a collaborative spirit, and an inquisitive mind.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading strategic initiatives to improve Business Intelligence products for internal and external stakeholders
Performing quantitative analysis of large data datasets (with Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
Creating data visualizations that provide actionable insights for customers and senior leadership (with Python and Tableau)
Ensuring data integrity amongst different data sources and standardizing measurements and definitions (with SQL, etc.)
Proactively identifying and executing process improvements, simplification, and automation
Performing ad hoc analysis for customers and executives as required
Mentoring more junior Data Analysts and supporting the team in interviews
Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent SQL skills and ability to implement general best practices.
Strong Python (numpy, pandas, etc.) skills including writing modular code pipelines and ad-hoc exploratory analysis using tools like Jupyter notebooks.
Strong Tableau skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills with a data driven approach and strong quantitative analysis skills.
Strong data intuition and narrative story-telling skills.
Energetic with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as confidence to interact with all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical jargon and conversation multiple ways so all stakeholders can understand.
Demonstrated ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop, and execute strategies, and track and measure results.
Comfortable working independently and able to represent Analytics needs in a variety of contexts.
Extreme attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to use common tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)/Microsoft Office/Apple iWork/etc.
Experience Requirements:
Approximately 3+ years of industry experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics. Such experience should give the candidate extensive skills in ad-hoc and production analysis of large datasets with a focus on business impact and stakeholder value.
Candidates with 1-2 years of industry experience will be considered if they have an advanced degree in a quantitative field (such as data science, economics, statistics, computer science, etc)
Prior experience at a growing SaaS business is a strong plus
