Our customers transform their industries by curbing financial fraud and cybercrime, optimizing global networks, accelerating breakthrough research, and providing better recommendations. Neo4j delivers real-time transaction processing, advanced AI/ML, intuitive data visualization, and more. Find out more at neo4j.com and follow us at @Neo4j.   \n\nOur Vision: \n\nAt Neo4j, we have always strived to help the world make sense of data.  \n\nAs business, society and knowledge become increasingly connected, our technology promotes innovation by helping organizations to find and understand data relationships. We created, drive and lead the graph database category, and we’re disrupting how organizations leverage their data to innovate and stay competitive.\n\nWho is Neo4j?\n\nNeo4j is the open source graph database and the company behind it. We are the creator of and leader in the graph database category, which is a type of database that excels at managing and analyzing highly connected data.\n\nIn 2022, we're expanding our work on creating the best place to do Graph Machine Learning, using our suite of tools including Graph Data Science, and we're looking for someone who can help!\n\nWith a ten year history we've created and grown the graph database category. Neo4j has over fifty million downloads, the world’s largest graph developer community, and thousands of graph-powered applications in production. With our recently launched cloud services we're opening new possibilities for our users and the company to take the next step in making using graphs easier and more widespread.\n\nOur Community\n\nOne of the most important and foundational parts of Neo4j’s growth is our user community. Our user community is important for our users and our success. Only by growing to a larger, more supportive and active  community can we scale graph usage to the levels we envision. We want to create an engagement loop that supports this sustainable growth.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\nOur ideal candidate would be an experienced data scientist who loves to teach and communicate.  We're looking for someone who is excited about engaging with the world in person, on online forums and in social media.  If this sounds like you and you stay on top of what's happening in the ML world, we should talk.   We strongly encourage under-represented groups to apply.\n\nAs a Data Science Advocate, you are a technologist first and foremost, and will help teach other data scientists how to build out Graph Machine Learning approaches.  You will participate in events and many other programs together with our community & marketing teams.  We are looking for someone who is already a member of the ML practitioner community with credibility; not a marketer.  The aim of the role is to help users succeed and to open up graph technology to a wide base of data scientists across the world.\n\nReporting to the Senior Director of Developer Relations, you'll work closely with a distributed team.  You'll also work with Neo4j departments such as Product Management, Engineering, and others.\n\nWhy Join Neo4j?\n\nNeo4j is among the 20 most popular databases in the world and the clear leader in the rapidly emerging Graph Data Platform category. We’re well funded and have an experienced management team focused on how organizations should apply data to solve challenging problems for decades to come. We have customers in every industry across the globe, and we build technology that has a proven product/market fit. Joining our team is an opportunity to define the future of data, analytics and automation.\n\nWe offer a competitive salary and benefits, engaging virtual events and a welcoming team. You will love your co-workers!\n\nNeo4j is a privately held company with our U.S. headquarters in San Mateo, California. We have employees located all over the world, from Thailand to Canada, many of whom work remotely, and we have offices in Sweden (Malmo and Stockholm), the UK (London) and Germany (Munich).  \n\nMore information at www.neo4j.com.\n\nNeo4j Values:\n\nNeo4j is a Silicon Valley company with a Swedish soul. We foster collaboration and each of us is empowered to contribute and put our innovative stamp on projects. We hire candidates who reflect the following Neo4j core values:\n\nWe value relationships\nWe focus on user success\nWe thrive in a culture that is open and inclusive\nWe assume positive intent\nWe welcome intellectually honest discussions\nWe deliver on our commitments\n\nDiversity, Equity and Inclusion at Neo4j:\n\nAt Neo4j, we value relationships and that involves building an environment where everyone feels like they belong. We believe strong relationships involve being accountable, bringing our whole selves to work, valuing intellectually honest discussions and being receptive to new ideas and perspectives. One of our central goals is to provide an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace for everyone to develop their potential and have a positive, career-defining experience.\n\nAre you intrigued by this role? We encourage you to apply even if you don’t 100% fit the qualifications above. \n\nNeo4j is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Ntropy Network Inc is hiring a
Remote Data scientist

Over the last few decades, technological innovation has relied on democratizing some of its key ingredients: knowledge (open publishing platforms), algorithms (code repositories) and computing (cloud providers). However, the last key component, data, largely remains trapped behind barriers of regulation, privacy, schema standards and competitive risk. Enabling scalable access to data will unlock enormous value for both individual developers and companies. This has only been made possible in the last few years, through advances in manifold learning algorithms and privacy-preserving computing. See our blog for more details.\n\nOne of the most valuable kinds of data today is in the financial sector. Financial data plays a key role across many industry verticals. However, it has notoriously been locked behind regulatory barriers and a lack of format standards. Our first product is an API that makes financial transactions accessible with minimal engineering overhead to both humans and machine-learning models in a scalable and privacy-preserving way.\n\nWe\n - are allergic to over-engineering.\n - are anarchists at heart and like to hack around the status quo.\n - are radically honest and appreciate challenging one another, rather than giving out “pats on the back”. Yet, we can always rely on each other for support, feedback and results. \n - are willing to learn and adapt quickly to new situations and requirements. Languages, frameworks, libraries, compilers, etc. are just tools for a job. A new problem might need a new tool. If it doesn’t exist yet, we will build it.\n - have a sense of humor (well, we think we do).\n\nAs an early member of our data science team, you will help\n - push the limits of what can be done with data.\n - build the team and drive the direction of the company.\n - shape our product and culture.\n - experience the direct impact of what you build on hundreds of millions of people’s financial lives.\n\nThe following are required\n - the tools: Python, Pandas, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, etc.\n - Spark, SQL and fundamental database operations.\n - recognized open-source contributions and/or top performance in data competitions (Kaggle, Numerai, etc.).\n - fluency in statistics and probability.\n\n\nFAQ\n\n\nWhat if I recommend someone who ends up getting hired?\n\nWe will give you 20k USD for the referral.\n\nWhere is Ntropy located?\n\nWe are fully remote, with a virtual base in San Francisco, CA.\n\nWhat time-zones do you work with?\n\nWe hire anywhere in the time zones GMT-7 to GMT+1.\n\nDo you consider part-time work?\n\nNot at the moment. Full-time roles only.\n\nHow are you funded?\n\nWe are backed by some of the top fintech investors in the world. Have raised single-digit millions of dollars so far. Can share more details over the call.\n\nDo you already have a product?\n\nCurrently in beta with 20+ customers.\n\nDo you plan to sell customer data?\n\nNtropy is on a mission to enable products without data barriers. We will never sell customer data and will always put privacy and customer benefit ahead of any auxiliary financial gains.\n\nWhat is the interview process like?\n\n1. Send us problems you have solved before and how.
