As a familyโs first contact with Hazel, you will compassionately and seamlessly guide them through the first steps of their childโs mental health journey with us: from initial outreach, to enrollment, to scheduling their first therapy appointment.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Enrollment Advisor, you will play a key role in expanding Hazelโs mission & care impact by driving the enrollment of children who are referred through our school channel. This means that a caring adult at school (typically a school counselor or social worker) identified the student as struggling with unmet mental health needs, and took the step of referring the child to a Hazel therapist. \n\nThis is where you pick up the baton. You will reach out to the studentโs parent โ who may not have heard of Hazel before, or feel unsure about the idea of their child seeing a therapist โ and compellingly communicate the value of Hazelโs virtual therapy program to their family in a way that not only puts them at ease, but gets them excited and hopeful about the potential outcome. This role requires a board-certified MD or DO experienced in functional medicine who brings operational vigor and rigor to managing team members. It is also essential that the clinician in this role is a pro at doing the job as they guide others to excel in the collaborative practice of Functional Medicine.\n\nThe Medical Director is a member of the Leadership team and will serve as liaison between \n\n\n* the Executive team \n\n* the Leadership team (cross functional peer group)\n\n* the Clinician team (as the leader)\n\n\n\n\nThis role reports to the SVP, Clinical and Business Operations. It is highly desired for this role to provide care onsite in our NYC center (Union Square).\n\nWhat youโll do:\n\nLead a Team of Clinicians\n\n\n* Provides overall leadership, motivation, and support of the clinician team - full-time, part-time and 1099 clinicians \n\n* Directly manage Lead Physicians who are managers to a team of distributed, virtual clinicians \n\n* Demonstrate care for our clinicians and their experience as providers; create a work environment that emphasizes collective team engagement aligned with Parsley values and provider core competencies\n\n* Attract, develop, and retain clinicians in a manner that fosters ongoing commitment, camaraderie, exceptional performance and job satisfaction\n\n* Drive clinician performance\n\n\n* Overseeing semi-annual performance evaluations, clinical quality criteria\n\n* Measuring performance against internal benchmarks (OKRs, and KPIs)\n\n* Contractual obligations (PGs and SLAs)\n\n\n\n\n\n* Evaluate, determine (in partnership with Finance, Clinical ops, and People) and implement changes to clinician staffing mix\n\n\n* Part Time, Full Time, MD, DO, PA, NP, On Site, Remote, 1099, state licensure distribution and redundancy needs\n\n\n\n\n\n* Oversee the development of training curricula to drive forward an optimal member journey within Functional Medicine-based, member-centered care.\n\n* Evaluate and implement improvements to policies, procedures, and protocols. \n\n\n\n\nDrive the Clinical Practice, Health Outcomes and Service Design\n\n\n* In partnership with product, CEO, sales, and clinical team:\n\n\n* Ensures Parsley Healthโs services deliver repeatable, reliable health outcomes \n\n* Use data to measure experience, engagement, and cost savings\n\n\n\n\n\n* Lead with data to inform business decisions and to create a high-level of trust, accountability and transparency in decisions.\n\n* Own / partner on scaleable, measurable organizational change initiatives\n\n* Evangelize the healthy symbiosis between compassionate, member-centric care delivery and business needs.\n\n\n* Together, and only together, these teams improve the member experience.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Communicate individual, team, and systemic issues using data, impact analysis, process documentation, and training for relevant, durable solutions.\n\n* Serve as the company-wide clinical liaison for regulatory matters, process improvement, performance monitoring, and relevant statistical analysis.\n\n* Spot issues and opportunities with a data-based plan to address.\n\n* Provide licensed clinical coverage of 50 states + Washington D.C. to meet utilization and capacity requirements\n\n* Follow all (clinical and administrative) Parsley policies, procedures, pathways and member journeys.\n\n* Continuously improve care delivery \n\n\n\n\nCross-functional Leadership across Parsley Health\n\n\n* Actively participates in / directly owns select Leadership meetings and responsibilities. Will attend Executive and other meetings to update and communicate up/downs needed.\n\n* Be a cross-functional partner in the following areas:\n\n\n\n* Data: provide Subject Matter Expertise consultation to Data lead who owns the outcomes data roadmap; and Ops leader who owns clinical operations data tracking.\n\n* Operations Exec: deliver measurable clinical impact to both topline revenue, margin targets, and clinical outcomes. \n\n* Sales/Growth: contribute to initiatives, including presenting at conferences and events, supporting sales in key meetings. \n\n* People: Oversee the planning and execution of medical staff credentialing and of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, including peer review and compensation processes.\n\n* Clinical Operation: monitor capacity, licensing, credentialing, and mid-level credentialing, and oversight with the Lead team. \n\n* Legal / Regulatory affairs: maintain familiarity with relevant health care laws and concepts (e.g. Stark law, federal anti-kickback statutes, fair-market valuation) and supports systems to ensure adherence.
