POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a talented iOS Developer with a passion for mobile technologies and a startup mentality to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablets. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
iOS Application Development:
Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform (Native/Swift)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Effective use of version control
Management of App Store Connect, Certificates, Profiles, etc…
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in iOS application development.
Proficiency in Swift
Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, ML Kit, CoreML, etc…
Familiarity with API development to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle & guidelines
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills
Location: Remote or Hybrid/Local to the Greater Toronto Area
