\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\n\n\nCome make something brand new with us! \n\nUnknown Worlds is seeking an accomplished 3D Environment Artist to help us visualize new game ideas from conception to release. Ideal candidates possess an eye for stylized art and a broad 3D skillset that ranges from hard surfaces to organics and environments to hero props. They will have experience with end to end art pipelines - working from initial concept drawings through modeling, texturing, polish and optimization. \n\nThis is a remote position on a fully distributed team looking for a candidate with the flexibility to collaborate with a team located primarily in the East and West Coast USA.\nResponsibilities\n\n\nCollaborate closely with the concept team and fellow artists to create stunning, expressive 3D environments and bring our game worlds to life.\n\nElevate the team by helping to develop and refine our art pipelines and workflows.\n\nWork with Engineering and Tech Art to ensure that Art meets the performance targets and budgets.\n\nAssist with integration of art assets into the game.\n\nPlaytest with the team and assess the role of game visuals as a holistic part of the player experience.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n5+ years experience as a 3D artist in the games industry having shipped at least one title.\n\nHigh level of proficiency with Max, Maya or Blender, Z-Brush, Substance Designer & Painter, or an industry-standard equivalent.\n\nSkilled at authoring materials and shaders.\n\nStrong traditional drawing/painting or sculpting skills with a portfolio that showcases a range of stylized assets.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication.\n\nSelf-starting, organized and highly motivated.\n\nDesire to contribute creatively to the development of our games outside of art.\n\nComfortable working with a completely remote team.\n\n\n\nPreferences\n\n\nExperience with Unreal Engine 5.\n\nExperience with multiplatform development including console.\n\nExperience with other art subdisciplines (concepting, animation, lighting, rigging, VFX).\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nDonโt meet every single requirement? \n\nStudies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply at jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
