Job Board is hiring a Remote Performance Test Engineer Network Security Cloud
\nBy making evidence the heart of security, we help customers stay ahead of ever-changing cyber-attacks.\n\nCorelight is a distributed first cybersecurity startup in the network detection and response (NDR) market. Our technology helps defend some of the world's most sensitive, mission-critical organizations and gives defenders a commanding view of their environment - so they can outsmart and outlast adversaries. Corelight's unfair market advantages include our unique architecture built on open source Zeek, as well as our founding team - which includes Zeek's inventor and its key open source committers. We aim to follow in the footsteps of successful open source security companies such as Sourcefire and Tenable, and help make the world's networks safer.\n\nWe are seeking an experienced performance test engineer to validate the performance, reliability and scalability of the Corelight network sensor with a focus on testing in virtual and cloud environments at scale. The sensors can be combined into fleets of sensors to cover the entire network. Youโll harness your skills and experience to isolate the origin of issues from Linux network processing to traffic mix through to detection packages and exporting. Provide dashboards and self-service tooling for collaborators to confirm results in a fully automated fashion. Let the statistical significance of the data direct the prioritization of your work. Feel strongly that the usefulness of our findings directly correlates into how well we can map the symptoms into real work impact. \n\n\n* Tackle system performance issues: analyze and debug complex system performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience.\n\n* Collaborating with developers, engineering leaders and product managers on regular basis to review performance metrics\n\n* Support extended teams in troubleshooting problems\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* 3+ years as a quality engineering professional\n\n* 2+ years performance/ scalability / reliability (PSR) testing of network or distributed systems\n\n* 2+ years professional coding (Python or Go preferred)\n\n* 1+ years Linux, database or platform performance tuning\n\n* 1+ years of network security\n\n* Effective communication skills, team spirit, problem-solving, positive attitude.\n\n* Self-Starter โ Continue to look for areas of possible improvement to assist business partners in achieving their goals\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Experiences:\n\n\n* Ixia or Spirent or T-rex traffic generators experience\n\n* Virtual (VMware) and Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)\n\n* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized microservices\n\n* Data center operations\n\n* Bash scripting\n\n\n\n\nWe are proud of our culture and values - driving diversity of background and thought, low-ego results, applied curiosity and tireless service to our customers and community. Corelight is committed to a geographically dispersed yet connected employee base with employees working from home and office locations around the world. Fueled by an accelerating revenue stream, and investments from top-tier venture capital organizations such as Crowdstrike, Accel and Insight - we are rapidly expanding our team.\n\nCheck us out at www.corelight.com \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
