Remote Investigations Specialist Mexico

Our mission is to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption and increase the freedom of money.\nIf you’re looking for a fast-paced, mission-driven organization where opportunities to learn and excel are endless, then Binance is the place for you.\nBinance is looking to grow our Investigations team with executional level talent who will drive crypto investigations, increase engagement with law enforcement, such as the FBI and Europol, and shape our processes that can lead towards prosecution of bad actors.\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n\n* Thoroughly analyze customer account data, on-chain and off-chain transactions, account characteristics, and other information in order to assess the nature of the activity and identify related entities as necessary;\n\n* Conduct detailed open source research to identify data vital to furthering investigations or due diligence initiatives;\n\n* Identify trends in abnormal or malicious activity in order to map out networks of bad actors;\n\n* Document research and illustrate the steps taken, the data sources reviewed, and the conclusions drawn;\n\n* Liaise with other teams to assist and provide and/or gather information;\n\n* Based on analyses, provide feedback to relevant departments to enhance the company’s security framework.\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n\n* 3+ years of law enforcement experience;\n\n* 3+ years experience with cybercrime or financial investigations;\n\n* Proven track record of detected cases/technical assistance to detected cryptocurrencies cases;\n\n* A solid understanding of cryptocurrencies and differences between separate blockchains / networks;\n\n* Subject matter expertise, extensive experience and knowledge with DeFi;\n\n* Excellent writing skills and ability to clearly communicate findings clearly and concisely;\n\n* Ability to analyse large amounts of data Excellent problem-solving skills, including an ability to think outside the box.\n\n\n\nGood to have:\n\n\n\n* Strong network within national/regional law enforcement agencies;\n\n* Proficiency in a language other than English;\n\n* Familiarity with blockchain analytics, either using existing tools or manually tracking funds effectively using relevant block explorers;\n\n* Knowledge of open-source investigations (OSINT) and/or due diligence;\n\n* Experience researching and analyzing cyber-crime, especially if financial in nature, and familiarity with cybercriminal organizations and tactics;\n\n* A basic understanding of DNS and IP address analysis.\n\n\nWorking at Binance• Be a part of the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem that continues to grow and offers excellent career development opportunities• Work alongside diverse, world-class talent in an environment where learning and growth opportunities are endless• Tackle fast-paced, challenging and unique projects• Work in a truly global organization, with international teams and a flat organizational structure• Competitive salary and benefits• Flexible working hours, remote-first, and casual work attire\nLearn more about how Binancians embody the organization’s core values, creating a unified culture that enables collaboration, excellence, and growth. \nApply today to be a part of the Web3 revolution! \nBinance is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
