In this role, you will leverage your expertise in geoscientific data engineering to build robust data pipelines and implement best practices for data modeling, ETL processes, and data ingestion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data engineering and AI tasks, contributing to the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Your strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in Python and the geoscientific stack, and experience with cloud computing platforms will be essential to your success in this role. \n\nJoin us at Climavision and be part of a team that is shaping the future of weather forecasting and climate risk management through innovative technology and collaboration. \n\nResponsibilities \n\n\nData Engineering: Design, develop, and optimize data engineering software leveraging your comprehensive understanding of geoscientific data. \n\nImplement: Implement best practices for data modeling, ETL processes, and data ingestion, continually enhancing data engineering methodologies. \n\nTransformation: Perform feature extraction and data transformation to prepare datasets for machine learning applications. \n\nReliability: Ensure data verification and integrity to maintain the accuracy and reliability of datasets used in AI model creation. \n\nCollaborate: Collaborate closely with the AI team to ensure seamless integration of data engineering tasks with machine learning workflows. \n\nInnovate: Act as an internal subject matter expert, offering solutions to a wide array of geoscientific data engineering challenges.
