\nLeadfeeder is a fast-growing international SaaS startup, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. We are an international remote team of 80+ members from around the world.\nWe've developed an online service which automates sales lead generation for B2B companies. Leadfeeder helps over 3000 paying customers to identify who visits their website, qualify the leads based on their behaviour, and convert the most promising visitors into sales leads.\nOur 30+ strong in-house, all-remote engineering team is responsible for developing new features, and otherwise improving and maintaining the Leadfeeder product.\nWe are organised in feature-oriented, cross-functional squads. Each squad is responsible for specific features of the product, and works tightly together with high autonomy. Depending on the product area, squads are comprised of Backend and Frontend Engineers, Designers, and are always paired with a Product Manager. We believe in listening to everyone's ideas and feedback no matter what your role is, you get to have a say in the product and technical decisions of your squad.\nRuby on Rails developers at Leadfeeder work mainly on our backends: building APIs, background data processing flows, and integrations. Being a very data-intensive application, much of the work on the Leadfeeder backend involves optimising and effectively using various databases Cassandra, AWS RDS & Aurora, Elasticsearch and Redis, to name a few.\nOur backend, we run multiple small-to-medium-sized Ruby on Rails apps and use serverless components (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis) on the side. We pride ourselves on keeping apps working smoothly, and the codebase tidy and well-tested. We dedicate time for upgrades, refactoring and improvements in the developer experience.\nFor people with skills and interest, we offer possibilities to work on our Ember.js frontend too, enabling people to grow to a fullstack role. Equally, there are opportunities to learn and be involved in infrastructure, DevOps and serverless development.\n\n\nResponsibilities\n * Developing new features together with your squad \n * Build internal and public APIs\n * Build, benchmark and optimise our core backend components\n * Helping operate our production environments on AWS\n * Providing code reviews to your peers\n \n\n\nBenefits\n\n * Get to work in a talented, remote-first international team\n * Chance to make an impact on a global product\n * Actual work-life balance with healthy 40-hour work weeks\n * Flexible work time\n * Biannual company retreats\n * Competitive salary\n * Friendly and encouraging work environment\n \n\nOur hiring process:\nAfter we've received and reviewed your application, there are a number of stages in our process: * Initial video call. You'll get to learn more about the role and our company, and we'll learn how you communicate and what are you looking for in the job.\n * Technical interview. Qualified candidates proceed to our technical interview, where we ask more in-depth technical questions.\n * Home assignment. We'll test your coding skills in building a small application. You can do this at home on your own time. The assignments usually take about 4-6 hours to complete.\n * Assignment review and skills interview. After our team has reviewed your assignment, we invite you to the next interview. We'll provide feedback and ask questions about your code. This interview also includes some pair-programming, where we do some improvements or additional features to your project.\n * Culture interview. The final step before decisions. Great cultural fit is highly important in our remote team. We also want to give you as much as possible information on how it is to work at Leadfeeder and what our culture is like.\n \n\n\nAll interviews are done remotely over video calls, but of course if you happen to be in the same city with some of our team members we're happy to organize a meeting on site.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

simplabs is Europe's leading Ember.js Consultancy. We've been an active member of the community for many year, several of our engineers are on the core team and we co-organize EmberFest. We hire people that are passionate about collaboration, web technology and open source.\n\n**We are looking for a senior Ember.js Engineer to join our remote team.**\n\nYou'll work in a small, international team with responsibility early on and can have a large impact on client as well as open source projects.\n\nWe expect experience with modern JavaScript development and the client-side MVC framework Ember. Ideally you also have experience with CSS as well, this is not a must though. We appreciate writing maintainable, tested code and are looking forward to your application if you share this appreciation with us.\n\n### About simplabs\n\nsimplabs is a community of engineers who have effective relationships with many international clients. We develop custom solutions using modern technologies for our clients, help clients in developing their products and also mentoring and workshops. Our clients range from small local and international startups to enterprises.\n\nWe focus on Web Engineering with Ember.js, Elixir/Phoenix and Ruby on Rails and are consistently involved in these open-source communities. Events we're organizing include Rails Girls Munich, the Elixir User Group Munich among others. We also want to ensure that our workshops and other events organized by us are accessible to a wide part of the tech community by ensuring these events are free or by providing diversity sponsorships for people who are yet underrepresented in tech.\n\nWe support team members to attend and participate in conferences and other IT events and we mentor and encourage interested engineers to present at events themselves. We believe that development of technical and interpersonal skills is important to our team members, and we're therefore committed in providing growth opportunities which include paid time to work on open source projects, attend trainings and participate in mentorships and more.\n\nWe strongly believe that diversity of experience contributes to a wider outlook of our team that not only improves our working atmosphere but also increases our productivity as a company. We are committed to increase the diversity of our team wherever we can and we encourage everyone to consider becoming a part of it.\n\n### How we work\n\nWe're a team of open-minded developers who value collaboration, empathetic working relationships and well-crafted code. Beyond a supportive team culture and a relaxed work atmosphere, we enable you to take part in modern projects for clients ranging from small startups to big enterprises, national as well as international. We work closely with our clients and usually join a shared Slack channel with their teams for easy communication. You'll have responsibility early on and have the opportunity to both guide the development of these client projects as well as grow your own technical and interpersonal skill set.\n\nWe also offer the opportunity to travel internationally - either to visit clients on-site for a limited time or to attend tech conferences (if you enjoy speaking or you're interested to do so that's awesome! We'll support you in finding mentoring support either through one of our experienced team members or any other external support that you find useful).\n\nWe start the day with our standup meeting in which everyone gives an update on what they worked on the previous day and what they plan to do on the current day. Apart from that we're pretty lean and don't have a lot of process. We practice a feature branch based workflow with continuous testing and peer reviews.\nApart from working on client projects we also maintain a bunch of open source libraries and tools on which you're invited to work on as well.\n\n### What we offer\n\n* self-guided work on interesting projects for international clients\n* competitive salary\n* 30 days of paid vacation\n* a flextime schedule to accommodate the needs of caretakers\n* time to work on open source projects\n* personal support to deepen your knowledge in topics that you feel are close to you\n* chance and support to attend and speak at international conferences\n* a flat organization with little process standing in your way\n* regular company events to meet your team members\n* an international, communicative and supportive team\n* flexible work environment (either on-site in Munich or remote)\n* we are a full remote company and everyone gets to choose between a paid office space that suits you or working from home\n* the latest MacBook Pro (or the previous one if you don't want the TouchBar) plus an external 4K display\n\n# Responsibilities\n
* you will help clients with their projects as well as support our open source projects\n* you're sensitive to clients' needs and you're creating trusting work relationships by reviewing code or discussing implementation options in a collaborative fashion\n* you share learnings made on client and open-source projects with the community through blog posts\n* we're committed to our participation in the open source community and give talks, attend conferences, host meetups etc. If you enjoy doing that as well that's great and we'll make sure to support you in any related engagements \n\n# Requirements\n### Must Haves\n\n* working experience with JavaScript and Ember.js, either in commercial projects or open source\n* collaborating well in a team environment\n* showing attention to detail by writing tested code\n\n### Bonus\n\n* any experience in product management, including sprint planning in collaboration with a product team / product owners is a plus\n* previous experience with server-side frameworks (e.g. Rails, Express among others) is a plus\n* previous experience working on an Ember open-source project is a plus\n \n\nPlease mention the words **FIRM HUNDRED NEST** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMjU=). \nAbout You\n\nYou've been with Ruby (on Rails) long enough to understand its pros and cons.\n\nJavaScript is no stranger for you as well, and you know AngularJS, Ember.js or any similar front-end frameworks well enough.\n\nYou have led projects and teams to success, and can show us that. You have visible and amazing accomplishments.\n\nYou are interested in leading and building a team that will help clients create and ship successful products.\n\nIf you're not a native English speaker, people often mistake you as such.\n\nAbout Clevertech\n\nWe have been around for 14 years and have over 70 developers and designers, scattered all over the world working together.\n\nWe are very much enthralled by Agile and Lean principles, successfully launching products in short windows of time. That’s possible due to the power of focus.\n\nIf you want to understand why it's so amazing to work for Clevertech, you can look at why.clevertech.biz\n\nSome of the great things we do are visible in cleverstack.io, cleverte.ch/bloomberg, visualcaptcha.net, and clevertech.biz.\n\nWe could tell you more, but it’s much more interesting to see what you find out.\n\nAbout the Job\n\nIf you fit this description, reach out with your 2-3 best accomplishments and tell us a story about your ambition and how working with us will help you achieve it.\n\nWe only require that you work at least 6 hours within New York’s 9am-5pm.\n\nThis is a full-time, fully remote, 8h/day, 40h/week, 160h/month offer.\n\nNote for US residents: this is corp-2-corp (1099, not W2). \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
