YOUR MISSION\n\nThe Personalization product pillar at MURAL helps members create a personalized space for collaboration through content discovery, content management, and collaboration insights. We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Personalization Platform team within the Personalization pillar. This leader will guide the engineering team to deliver the data models, APIs, and data required for product teams to create delightful, personalized experiences for our members. As the Staff Engineer, you will grow our business by helping a team of engineers build and ship great code, focusing specifically on a new product initiative at the intersection of user experience, product design, analytics, experimentation, and data warehousing.\n\nAs a Staff Engineer for this team you will:\n\n\n* Provide technical leadership to your engineering team, including technical direction setting, coaching, and architectural mentorship\n\n* Deliver new data-powered features to provide an intuitive experience\n\n* Be an advocate for new technologies, methods, and approaches to solving problems and achieving product goals\n\n* Be a core part of our technical design process\n\n* Fully understand user requirements and pain points to help solve them\n\n* Identify, study, and improve performance bottlenecks\n\n* Generate experiments, test them with production users, analyze, repeat\n\n* Build a culture of shipping great products\n\n* Build a culture of data driven experiences\n\n* Be accountable for and take ownership of your product\n\n\n\nYOUR PROFILE\n\n\n* At least 2 years experience in a technical leadership position\n\n* Hands-on experience with architecture and problem solving\n\n* You have designed systems that are used in large scale production environments\n\n* Experience mentoring junior to senior software engineers\n\n* Excellent technical skills and relevant experience with Javascript development (bonus: Typescript experience)\n\n* Experience building APIs via REST and JSON (bonus: with NodeJS)\n\n* Experience with web application development frameworks and tools like React, Express, Babel, Webpack, etc.\n\n* Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure\n\n* Experience with a variety of data stores and designing suitable data models\n\n* You can lead highly complex programming tasks and provide code reviews for your team\n\n* You can provide analysis of complex problems and recommend solutions\n\n* You have a computer science degree or relevant professional experience\n\n* You have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal\n\n* You have a bias for action\n\n\n\n\n#LI-Remote #LI-MB1 \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
