We believe work should be awesome, meaningful, and fun. At Simprints we’re taking on global development’s biggest challenges, powered by incredible people and great partners. Some reasons to join this adventure:\n\n\n* Genuine impact. This is the opportunity to spearhead our engineering team and develop technology whose impact will reach millions of beneficiaries.\n\n* Work with great engineers using cutting edge tools. Work with engineers committed to writing high-quality code and the latest technologies, including:\n\n\n\n\nLanguages: Kotlin, Go, Typescript\n\nAndroid libraries: Jetpack, Coroutines, Koin\n\nCloud infrastructure: Firebase, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, lots of other GCP tools\n\nOther tools: Bitbucket Pipelines, Jira\n\n\n* Flexible hours. More efficient late at night? Better before the sun rises? That’s fine by us. We are looking for people who get the job done, not for people who work between 9am and 5pm.\n\n* Unlimited paid time off. We set high quarterly goals, but give people the freedom to choose when and how to recharge. Join a team that trusts you with the job. And unlike some teams, we really mean it. Last year, the average Simprints employee took a total of 31 days off (annual leave plus UK bank holidays), an increase from 26 days two years ago.\n\n* Fieldwork around the world. We make sure that every role—from software engineer to strategic partnerships lead—gets a chance to travel with the team and see our impact in person if they want to. 100% optional. \n\n* Development and wellbeing. A generous Eduprints budget to spend on individual learning. In the past, Simprints engineers have spent this on attending tech conferences, enrolling in a Udacity nanodegree, and all the books you could possibly read.\n\n* Quarterly free hacking. Two ‘LEGO Days’ each quarter where you can work on any project you want. Past projects have ranged from exploring image processing techniques to building a LEGO train to deliver beer around the office.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Engineer, Executive, Cloud, Travel and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

Thereโ€™s no need to punch a clock, or ask for permission to take off early one afternoon to go see the doctor. We look at what you accomplish, not how long you are in front of a computer. We work hard and smart, but weโ€™re in this for the long haul.\n**Responsible Time Off\n**\nWe want you to take time off; it makes you happier, healthier, and more productive. Itโ€™s important you take the time you need, whether youโ€™re caring for your health, the health of a family member, or going on vacation. (We look forward to seeing pictures of your trip in #the-pub Slack channel!) Be mindful of Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Thatโ€™s our merchantsโ€™ busiest time of the year, and we need all-hands-on-deck just in case.\n**Grow and Learn\n**\nWe arenโ€™t satisfied with what we already know; we want to learn more and we want you to as well. Think conferences (when those are a thing again), online courses and resources, and dedicated time away to learn something newโ€ฆitโ€™s up to you and your manager. Let us know what you need.\n**Benefits\n**\nInsurance coverage: For our U.S. employees, we offer health, dental, and vision insurance. We cover 100% of your medical and dental premiums and 75% for vision. We also cover a percentage of the premiums for dependents. If our default plan isnโ€™t right for you, there are other options available to fit your needs.\nParental leave: All parents who welcome a new child by birth, surrogacy, foster, or adoption are eligible to take 8 weeks of paid leave. All birth mothers are eligible for an additional 8 weeks of paid leave. New mothers will be able to have a flexible, soft re-entry coming back to work.\n401k Plan: Employees are eligible for a 401k plan provided by Guideline and integrated into our payroll system. Plans are funded by the employee.\n## The Role\nAs a Dev-Ops engineer, you will be working closely with the development teams to implement and support their continuous integration, in order to ensure stable and reliable releases of our platform. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our container-based infrastructure, to improve the availability and resilience of our services. With your motivation and knowledge in the latest cloud technologies and provisioners like Terraform and container-orchestration softwares like Nomad and Kubernetes, you will be creating a scalable and resilient architecture for an Ecommerce stack.\nThis is a full-time, fully remote role.
