About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The new product you will be working with has a smaller team and is focused on providing analytics and insights to companies who sell their products in marketplaces like Amazon.com and Walmart.com.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe client has an existing monolithic web application that is built using PostgreSQL, Python (Flask). There are essentially 6 user dashboards that communicate different types of e-commerce data to the user (sales, traffic, ad spending, ROI, sentiment analysis, etc.). The HTML for these dashboards is currently being served by Flask and their appearance is rather generic. The client is redesigning each of the 6 dashboards and customizing each one to display data in precisely the way that makes the most sense for the specific data being displayed on the given page. The UX designer is using Framer and has already completed the new design for one of the dashboards.\n\nYour job will be to implement the new designs while simultaneously converting the dashboard from a monolithic page that is rendered on the server to a React/Redux-based page that consumes an API. For this reason, if you have experience with Python and Flask this would be a big bonus since you could help with the development of the API as well if needed.\n\nThe client uses Git for source control, Notion for task tracking, and Slack, Gmail, and Hangouts for communication.\n\nOther Responsibilities:\n- Collaborate with QA to write unit and integration tests for React/Redux.\n- Recommend the right JavaScript libraries for things like testing and charting\n- Assist with high-level architectural decisions keeping in mind scale and growth.\n- Deploy code to staging and production environments.\n- Positively contribute to a solid mission and be a critical voice within the team.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nYou will be reporting to the VP of Product and working closely with a UX Designer. Someone who has been successful at building scalable, maintainable and extensible software in any modern mobile stack (Android, iOS, Xmarin) is preferred.\n\n\nJob Duties\n\n\n* Develops software solutions using modern user interface and backend frameworks.\n\n* Design, implement and maintain automation strategies for both applications and infrastructure.\n\n* Maintains current working knowledge of modern development tools, techniques, and equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.\n\n* Monitors database activities to ensure data integrity, data security, and information availability.\n\n* Protects operations by keeping information confidential.\n\n* Clearly communicates service issues and development lifecycles.\n\n\n\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* Experience with iOS and Android development.\n\n* Experience with HTML 5, MySQL, Data Integration, Data Management, Javascript/jQuery, XML, JSON, REST API.\n\n* An understanding of core concepts like Object-oriented programming, MVC, and Agile development\n\n* Experience with C# and/or Java is a plus.\n\n* Strong understanding of modular application development using API and web services.\n\n* Understanding and management of code repository and version management, preferably Git and GitHub.\n\n* Experience with Continuous Integration and software delivery.\n\n* Ability to self-manage and work independently as well as part of a team.\n\n* Attention to detail and ability to translate business needs into solutions.\n\n* Must understand and conceptualize applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. \n\n* Ability to work within set time frames and communicate discrepancies that may distract from overall goal.\n\n* Experience with large data sets in data warehouse environment, relational and multi-dimensional database design principles and implementation strategies. \n\n* Ability to quickly learn new software techniques, concepts and technologies\n\n* Good communication skills both verbal and written.\n\n* Previous Healthcare experience preferred - especially working with HIPAA compliant systems.\n\n* Knowledge of web security, web analytics and performance optimization.\n\n* Proficient knowledge of AWS features such as EC2, S3, Cloudwatch and IAM.\n\n* Microsoft Azure experience a plus.\n\n* Minimum 8 years’ experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study, or equivalent combination of certifications and years’ experience. \n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred location for this role is Reno, NV.\n\n\nAbout Convergence Health:\n\nConvergence Health is a global provider of healthcare solutions, technology and consulting services that enable organizations to achieve greater efficiency; inspire engagement with consumer-centric applications; and improve health outcomes.\n\nWe are focused on delivering client-branded healthcare solutions that enhance performance, reduce costs, improve outcomes and accelerate time to market with unique products and game-changing consumer initiatives.
