Remote Finance Operations Director

The Finance Operations Director leads Accounts Receivable Collections, Treasury Management, Payroll, and Accounts Payable. This role is a key within the CDC Foundation finance team.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications \n* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\n* 10+ plus years of related progress experience in financial roles\n* Enterprise financial systems knowledge\n* Extensive financial transaction processing experience\n* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills\n* Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n* Accuracy and attention to detail\n* Excellent written, oral, and communication skills\n* Strong organizational, prioritization, time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively\n* Ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization and cross functionally\n* Proven ability to be a strong internal business partner with collaborative business focus\n* People leader with a track record of developing a strong team\n* Strategic thinker with ability to identify opportunity areas and execute change.\n* Ability to execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Work with the Finance leadership to manage key strategies to support organizational mission and goals\n* Create and manage a forecast to inform and advise Finance leadership on the appropriate actions to take to optimize cash flow\n* Ensure payroll is processed timely and the appropriate reporting requirements are met for the jurisdictions in which the Foundation operates\n* Oversees and reviews accounting tasks including payroll, taxes, and compliance.\n* Build relationships with customers of the finance department\n* Partner with IT Team to develop and maintain appropriate management information system to drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability for financial processes.\n* Implement and manage board approved investment guidelines/goals and reviews investment performance for compliance; coordinates efforts with investment manager and approves investment authorizations and forecasting of future cash requirements\n* Generate reports and analytics that provide data for accurate and timely business decisions\n* Identify issues and trends to engage the appropriate teams for action, as necessary\n* Create, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage and monitor transaction processing\n* Work closely with management to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement\n* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, reporting systems and methods as well as overseeing financial controls\n* Maintains a variety of fiscal documents, files, records (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, , contracts, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail.\n* Organize and direct all activities and staff related to the safeguarding and management of the fiscal resources of the organization and is responsible for Finance operations\n* Prepares and administers the Finance department's budget\n* Document and/or update procedures and policies to support and optimize business practices\n* Strategize with Finance leaders to determine the needs and prioritize key activities\n* Build, train, develop, and manage the Financial Operations Team\n* Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\n\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, mental or physical disabilities, veteran status, and all other characteristics protected by law.\n\n\nWe comply with all applicable laws including E.O. 11246 and the Vietnam Era Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 governing employment practices and do not discriminate on the basis of any unlawful criteria in accordance with 41 C.F.R. ยงยง 60-300.5(a)(12) and 60-741.5(a)(7). The Learning and Development Professional will support the creation and execution of talent development activities in a newly forming department focused on developing the leaders and employees of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow with a new team that is introducing learning and development opportunities to help people reach their career goals and coach them along their journey. This may include creating talent profiles for succession planning reviews, helping to support leadership development programs, supporting the analysis of coaching and team building assessment data, delivering training courses, creating project plans and presentations, and supporting the technology behind virtual training. This individual must have a strong analytical approach to problem solving, as well as a flexible and collaborative working style and be comfortable with tools and technology. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, produce high quality deliverables, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups. Candidates will have the benefit of working hybrid, when approved by the Hiring Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the department senior director in coordinating with key stakeholders across the organization for various talent development programs
- Provide analytical support, research and knowledge management for various talent development and training activities, to include leadership development programs, succession planning processes, coaching, mentoring, internships, and assessments
- Develop and manage project plans for key projects and programs within the talent development portfolio
- Support instructor-led training and facilitation of virtual and live meetings/training sessions on various topics
- Support the development of training presentations, PowerPoint presentations, summary reports
- Assist in execution of training, which includes administration and tracking of required training, such as compliance and ethics modules
- Coordinate with external vendors for online training platforms and tools
- Perform research to identify external speakers, seminars, trainings, and partnerships to enhance existing training and development portfolio
- Support the development and delivery of training materials as needed, including presentations, user guides, instructor guides, communications, and job aids
- Coordinate training and talent development program logistics and communicate with participants as needed
- Monitor key success measures to include feedback surveys, engagement surveys, and other talent development metrics to include data analysis
- Create a knowledge repository of training content, library of templates and career resources for employees
- Leverage tools and technology such as Power BI, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Teams and learning management systems
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years professional talent development, organizational effectiveness and/or leadership training experience (Required)
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelorโs Degree in: Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or other related area (Required)
- Must have experience in training and talent development
- Must have strong facilitation, communications presentation skills both in person and virtually
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills (including PowerPoint and training content creation)
- Must have a keen understanding of stakeholder needs; ability to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders; ability to work well in a team atmosphere
- Must have the ability to travel occasionally (up to 20-25%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterโs Degree in: Training & Development, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Leadership, or other related area (Preferred)
- Certifications in coaching and assessments (i.e. Korn Ferry, Center for Creative Leadership) is preferred
- Experience in leadership development curriculum curation/development
- Experience using tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Forms, etc.
