Remote Antibiotic Stewardship Public Health Specialist
\nThe CDC Foundation is seeking candidates for a Public Health Specialist with experience working with state health departments and with knowledge of antibiotic stewardship. This position will provide technical assistance to state and local health departments collaborating with Medicaid offices and using Medicaid medical and pharmacy claims data to implement prescribing tracking and feedback interventions leveraging Antibiotic Use (AU) data and quality metrics. This project focuses on supporting public health partners forming and fostering collaboratives to implement antibiotic stewardship interventions, particularly in outpatient settings. The Public Health Specialist will work in collaboration with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) subject matter experts and epidemiologists at CDC, state health department antibiotic stewardship leads, state Medicaid offices, communication specialists, CDC Foundation consultants, and other partners.\n\n\nThis full-time position will be hired by the CDC Foundation and assigned to the Medical Product Safety Branch within the Division of Health Quality and Promotion (DHQP), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) at the CDC. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nationโs leading agency charged with protecting the public's health.
