Flow Foundation is hiring a

Remote Tech Lead Flow Wallet

\nFlow is a layer one blockchain designed from the ground up as a platform for a new generation of Web3 apps, games, and the digital assets that power them. Flow is home today to millions of users and apps from top tier creators including Genies, Cryptoys, Doodles, and Dapper Labs (NBA, NFL, Disney) as well as industry leaders such as Mattel (Barbie, Hot Wheels), LiveNation / Ticketmaster, and many more.\n\n\n2025 will be Flowโ€™s biggest year yet. To prepare, Flow launched Flow Wallet - a new wallet built from the ground up for Flow. Flow Wallet aims to set the new standard for wallets across all of Web3 by leveraging whatโ€™s uniquely possible with Flowโ€™s account abstraction, smart contract programming language Cadence, and mainstream consumer audience.\n\n\nFlowโ€™s mission is to take Web3 mainstream, and Flow Wallet is a big piece of the puzzle for how weโ€™ll get there. We believe itโ€™s unacceptable for users to have to tolerate the possibility of losing their keys, assets or accounts, have to set up their wallets using complex seed phrases, or worry about things like gas fees. At the end of the day, users just want to have fun, and feel safe to explore and experience what Web3 makes possible for them.\n\n\nAs Flow Walletโ€™s Tech Lead, youโ€™ll get to pave the way forward for the Web3 industry at large, and youโ€™ll love that youโ€™ll be empowered to solve the frustrations you have with Web3 wallets first hand.\n\n\nAbout the Role\n\n\nYour mission, should you choose to accept, is to lead Flow Walletโ€™s engineering team. Youโ€™ll get to dive into building awesome new features like account recovery, human readable transactions, secure enclave support, passkey integration and many many more. Youโ€™ll be on the front lines of how Web3 will go mainstream, and solve major industry problems like user onboarding to crypto, empowering users to truly own their assets with self-custody, and drive mainstream adoption to Web3 apps.\n\n\n\nHereโ€™s what your scope will include: \n* Building industry leading wallet features: Flow Wallet is currently working towards becoming the world's first multi-VM wallet, supporting both the Cadence and EVM ecosystems on Flow. Youโ€™ll be responsible for thinking big and pioneering first of their kind initiatives in Web3.\n* Producing industry leading wallet security: Flow believes security is a predicate to mass adoption. Users need to be and feel safe in order to feel confident in exploring the universe of apps and assets on Flow. Flow Wallet pioneers Flow native features such as human readable transactions, capability based security with Cadence, and secure enclave integration to pave the way towards industry leading security for our users. Youโ€™ll be responsible for the security of users and their assets secured by Flow Wallet.\n* Product-minded software engineering: Flowโ€™s next challenges require engineers who love bridging the gap between product and engineering. The complexities in delivering an industry leading wallet require engineers on Flow Wallet to think through how their software impacts our users, and be mindful of how what we build can impact them. Youโ€™ll be responsible for translating product requirements into user value, and understanding how to best get there through the software you create.\n* Self-driven execution: Flow believes experienced engineering leads must drive business initiatives from start to finish, work autonomously and use their intuition from experience to guide their success. Youโ€™ll be responsible for implementing your organization's product initiatives through managing a team of talented engineers, and will be given trust and room to make them a success.\n* Delivering mainstream-ready software quality: Flow is gearing up to support not only itโ€™s existing ecosystem of Cadence developers, but also the rest of the Web3 ecosystem of EVM builders. Flow Wallet needs to be ready to support the new user base that EVM on Flow will bring, and your passion for taking Web3 mainstream is what weโ€™ll need to get us there. Youโ€™ll be responsible for ensuring Flow Wallet can support and delight users at scale.\n\n\n\nAbout you: \n* 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.\n* 10+ year of software development experience. \n* Recently demonstrated web/mobile software architecture/design expertise, and can own iOS/Android/Web engineering deliverables.\n* Experience managing engineering development of multiple large-scale projects start-finish.\n* Experience collaborating with product leadership to accomplish business goals.\n* Expertise in driving technical decision making.\n* Experiencing hiring engineering teams.\n* Passion for Web3/Blockchain, with a strong understanding and interest in industry trends.\n* Preferred: Web3 industry experience (but donโ€™t worry, youโ€™ll learn from the best)\n* Preferred: Working with Web3 wallets.\n* Bonus: Experience building on Cadence/Flow\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFlow is a remote-first team of seasoned technologists dedicated to our mission of mainstream Web3 adoption. Founded in Vancouver, Canada, Flowโ€™s team is now spread primarily across the US and Canada โ€“ with small presences in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. \n\n\nAt Flow Foundation, we prioritize recruiting top talent and cultivating an empowering environment for our team. This entails fostering a workplace that is characterized by diversity, inclusivity, and open-mindedness. We enthusiastically welcome applicants from all walks of life, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Web3 and Web3 jobs that are similar:\n\n $40,000 — $80,000/year\n

Flow is home today to millions of users and apps from top tier creators including Genies, Cryptoys, Doodles, and Dapper Labs (NBA, NFL, Disney) as well as industry leaders such as Mattel (Barbie, Hot Wheels), LiveNation / Ticketmaster, and many more.\n\n\nWeโ€™re looking for a visionary Senior Software Engineer to help us drive the future of developer experiences, develop cutting-edge tools, and demonstrate the power of Flow to our community.\nThe ideal candidate is passionate about the crypto ecosystem, has a robust technical background, and thrives in dynamic environments. You will be part of a team dedicated to removing friction, aiding development, engaging the community, and accelerating growth.\n\n\n\nWhat we will accomplish together:\n* Create tools that enable developers to build and iterate quickly and effectively\n* Produce clear documentation and guides and share inspiring โ€œah-haโ€ apps to inspire and empower developers and product managers\n* Foster a culture dedicated to exceptional developer experiences through APIs, SDKs, and comprehensive documentation\n* Develop seamless onboarding experiences to accelerate developersโ€™ productivity\n* Engage with the community to gather feedback and continuously improve our tools and resources\n* Lead by example by contributing to the codebase, reviewing pull requests, and providing technical guidance to the team\n\n\n\nAbout you: \n* You have a positive attitude and are optimistic about the future of blockchain technology\n* You have 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong technical background in full stack development\n* You possess hands-on coding experience in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Node.js, and frameworks like React, Next.js, and Svelte\n* You understand Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, with hands-on experience in smart contract development using Solidity or comparable language\n* You adapt swiftly to changing priorities. Founded in Vancouver, Canada, Flowโ€™s team is now spread primarily across the US and Canada โ€“ with small presences in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Less than 6 months from now, Flow delivers Crescendo, its biggest technical upgrade since launching the network. Included in the Crescendo release is Cadence 1.0, a major upgrade of the Cadence programming language which enables fully immutable smart contracts on Flow; as well as full EVM equivalence, allowing Flow to host EVM-based smart contracts, platforms, tooling, and utilities natively and fully composable with the Cadence environments. With Crescendo, Flow will be as easy to deploy onto as any EVM-based Layer 2, while preserving the full capabilities of the rest of the protocol. Crescendo upgrade will catalyze a massive improvement in liquidity on Flow including on- and off-ramps as well as a native DeFi ecosystem that serves as a liquidity backbone for the entire network.\n\n\nAt Flow Foundation, we prioritize recruiting top talent and cultivating an empowering environment for our team. Obol is hiring a

Remote Senior Frontend Engineer DApp Development

\nWho Are We?\n\n\nObol Labs is a remote-first research and software development team focused on Proof of Stake infrastructure for public blockchain networks. Specific topics of focus are Internet Bonds, Distributed Validator Technology, and Multi-Operator Validation. The core team includes 35 members spread across +14 countries.\n\n\nThe core team is building the Obol Network, a protocol to foster trust-minimized staking through multi-operator validation. This will enable low-trust access to Ethereum staking yield, which can be used as a core building block in various Web3 products.\n\n\nThe Network\n\n\nThe network can be best visualized as a work layer that sits directly on top of the base layer consensus. This work layer is designed to provide the base layer with more resiliency and decentralization as it scales. In this chapter of Ethereum, we will move on to the next great scaling challenge, which is stake centralization. Layers like Obol are critical to the long-term viability and resiliency of public networks, especially networks like Ethereum.\n\n\nObol as a layer is focused on scaling main chain staking by providing permissionless access to Distributed Validators. The network utilizes a middleware implementation of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), to enable the operation of distributed validator clusters that can preserve validators' current client and remote signing configurations.\n\n\nSimilar to how roll-up technology laid the foundation for L2 scaling implementations, we believe DVT will do the same for scaling the consensus layer while preserving decentralization. Staking infrastructure is entering its protocol phase of evolution, which must include trust-minimized staking networks that can be plugged into at scale. We believe DVT will evolve into a widely used primitive and will ensure the security, resiliency, and decentralization of public networks.\n\n\nThe Obol Network develops and maintains three core public goods that will eventually work together through circular economics:\n\n\nThe DV Launchpad, a User Interface for bootstrapping and managing Distributed Validators\n\n\nCharon, a Golang based middleware client that enables validators to run in a fault-tolerant, distributed manner.\n\n\nObol Splits, a set of solidity contracts for the formation of Distributed Validators tailored to different use cases such as DeFi, Liquid Staking, and Fractionalized Deposits \n\n\n\n\nSustainable Public Goods\n\n\nObol is inspired by previous work on Ethereum public goods and experimenting with circular economics. We believe that to unlock innovation in staking use cases, a credibly neutral layer must exist for innovation to flow and evolve vertically. Without this layer, highly available uptime will continue to be a moat.\n\n\nThe Obol Network will become an open, community-governed, self-sustaining project over the coming months and years. Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\n\n\nThe Role \n\n\nThe focus of this role is on developing and enhancing React-based web applications for interacting with the Ethereum blockchain to create Distributed Validators. This includes creating user-friendly interfaces, integrating with wallets, and ensuring the applications are absolutely secure and reliable.\n\n\nThe goal of this role is to enable the proliferation of Distributed Validators in the Ethereum Staking Ecosystem, by making them easy to create, view, understand, and interact with. This role requires working with agency and autonomy. It requires collaboration with cross-functional internal teams as well as dealing with external stakeholders. Obolโ€™s Distributed Validator Launchpad, Obolโ€™s static website, Obolโ€™s typescript packages, and other applications will be under this roleโ€™s remit. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Develop and implement new features for our web applications using React, showcasing your expertise in creating user-centric solutions.\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products.\n* Contribute to Obolโ€™s coding standards, design patterns, and development methodologies.\n* Drive innovation by researching and adopting the latest trends and technologies in the React ecosystem, ensuring our applications remain secure, competitive, and cutting-edge.\n* Act as a technical mentor for junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.\n* Collaborate with external partners integrating Obol technology into their dapps using the Obol SDK.\n* Take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing our current products, including our component library (obol-ui) and DApp (dv-launchpad).\n* Improve the accessibility of our interfaces to all types of internet users.\n* Harden the security of our React software and its supply chain.  \n\n\n\nRequirements\n* Professional experience in React-based Ethereum Application Development (examples below).\n* What we use for React Development: Typescript, Next.js, React Hook Form, SWR, Zustand, @headlessui/react, stitches.dev, tailwindCSS and others. \n* What we use for Ethereum Development: Foundry, Hardhat, Ethers.js, web3-react, @obolnetwork/obol-sdk, @metamask/eth-sig-util, @0xsplits/splits-sdk(-react), @gnosis.pm/safe-core-sdk, @synthetixio/synpress, @chainsafe/(bls/discv5/ssz) and others. \n* Previous delivery of react websites that enable non-custodial, wallet-based interaction with mainnet Ethereum or a similar EVM network with more than $100k in value handled. \n* Knowledge of JS/TS security and testing best practices.\n* Knowledge of JS/TS CI/CD best practices.\n* Experience working with Agile Software Development methodologies.\n* Web3 professional experience.\n* Proven ability to maintain and contribute to Open Source repos \n* Timezone between UTC-2 to UTC+3 \n\n\n\nNice to have\n* Ethereum staking experience.\n* Node.js or other backend development experience.\n* Solidity development experience.\n* Familiarity with docker and/or running servers.\n* SQL/NoSQL experience.\n* Experience working in a distributed remote team.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n* Fully Remote Working and flexible hours.\n* Meet the team at our Annual Offsites.\n* Chance to attend crypto and staking conferences.\n* Working with the purpose of decentralising Ethereum.\n* Generous paid time off.\n* Budget for equipment.\n* Budget for training or education.\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you for your interest.
