\nAbout The Role:\n\nThe Software Engineering team at Shardeum is responsible for delivering the Shardeum Mainnet, and developing the smart contract platform, the consensus layer and the protocol layer. We focus on building scalable, performant, secure and reliable software that can be downloaded by thousands of node operators to actualize the Shardeum network.\n\nWe are in search of highly talented, innovative individuals to join our team. You will be working with equally talented and innovative individuals with the goal of building incredible software with the potential to change the world.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\n\nCollaborating with a fully distributed team around the world\n\nContributing to the architecture and implementation of complex software components in Node.js\n\nEnd-to-end ownership of critical software components\n\nDesigning and developing innovative new consensus and protocol software\n\nEnsuring performance optimization, and making scalability / reliability improvements to the software\n\nTesting, reviewing and suggesting improvements to the software\n\nResolving issues, debugging errors and fixing code to improve the reliability and security of the software\n\nThe tech stack you will be using is: Node.js, TypeScript, SQLite, Postgres, React and Vue.js\n\nThe development environment will be: Linux, Git, AWS, Docker and VSCode\n\n\n\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\n\n7+ Years of Software Engineering Experience\n\nFluency with algorithms and data structures\n\nAbility to quickly learn new languages and technologies\n\nAbility to write clean yet efficient code\n\nThe Creativity to come up with proof of concept from high level design, while not knowing all the details\n\nSelf motivated to set priorities and methodically make progress towards the goals\n\nThe ability to communicate effectively and convey your ideas when discussing technical topics with team members\n\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired\n\n\n\n\nWe'd Love If You Have:\n\n\nExperience with concurrency, parallelism and distributed systems\n\nFamiliarity with the Shardeum open source repos \n\nExperience with consensus protocols and other blockchains\n\nExperience with Node.js and TypeScript, or languages like C, C++, Rust or Go\n\nExperience writing a smart contract on a blockchain \n\nExperience running a node in a blockchain network\n\nKnowledge of cryptography\n\nExperience with networks and operating systems\n\nContributed to open source projects\n\nRead the Bitcoin and Ethereum whitepapers\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
