At TXI, we are very intentional about the way we work and support both our team and our clients.ย \n\n1. We focus on product innovation by helping to envision initial new product concepts for our clients. We are core contributors to shaping the work that we do and the problems we're working to solve. In addition to that ideation stage, we help them bring these new concepts to market. We help both to build the right thing (design thinking and product discovery) and build the thing right (agile mindset and iterative approach).ย \n\n2. We care about DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging). To deliver the best solutions, we need as many bright and diverse minds in the room as possible, and we need to be able to learn from them once theyโ€™re here. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re working to create an environment thatโ€™s comfortable and inclusive for everyone. Learn more about our DEIB learnings, roadmap, and history.ย ย \n\n3. We work in a variety of industries, encourage our team members to explore new domains, solve different kinds of problems, and adopt new technologies. There is no getting bored in our portfolio; youโ€™ll work across health care, edtech, manufacturing, and nonprofitsโ€“just to name a fewโ€“and build web, mobile, and IOT solutions.ย \n\n4. We work in integrated teams (and avoid staff augmentation). At TXI, we seek to bring all of the good ideas to the table so you learn from the talented teammates you regularly pair with. Product, design, and development regularly collaborate, and we are all listening to the same users.ย \n\n5. We are intentional about supporting each individual's growth. "Challenge and support each other" is a core value of the company and we take that mission seriously.ย  That's why every employee has a personal learning and development budget and a bi-weekly conversation with their manager about their progressโ€“as well as why our CEO created the Sticky Note Game to encourage each person's path at TXI.ย \n\n6. We believe that wellness and a sustainable pace deliver the best outcomes. To be dedicated partners, we commit to our clients for a sustainable 35 hours a week. We don't require regular travel or client on-site time. Our team members have flexible schedules with a hybrid (co-located or remote) working environment and discretionary time off because we respect that everyone has a life outside of work.ย \n\n7. We value transparency and open discussion. You will have a front-line view of the company's performance, risks and issues, finances and budgets. With unique tools and facilitation techniques, we also regularly connect and discuss topics as a company to guide our path forward.ย \n\n8. We build products that matter. We advance the causes and goals of our partners and consistently deliver outcomes for them. See some examples below.ย ย \n\n\nWhat We Makeย \n\nFor over two decades, we've partnered with clients across industries to research, design, and develop custom web and mobile applications that make a meaningful impact. These impacts include:ย ย \n\nEmpowering nonprofits with real-time insight into progress and potential for donor impact through transformative fundraising softwareย \n\nDesigning a digital experience that is driven by evidence-based treatment and therapy plans to support LGBTQ+ youths between the ages of 14 and 17 who face societal and personal biases due to their orientation prior to coming outย ย \n\nDriving accountability and motivation for patients recovering from spinal surgery through an integrated mobile app and wearable device on the patientโ€™s lower backย \n\nImproving prediction of patient enrollment in global clinical trials for life-saving drugs through the integration of advanced analytics and digital innovationย ย ย \n\nCreating a new mobile app to inspire employees to love where they work by delivering meaningful savings and recognition in their workplace, while also amplifying merchant partner reach across the USย \n\nBut the work is just part of what makes TXI a rewarding place to be. We support each othersโ€™ interestsโ€”whether itโ€™s volunteering, organizing meetups, speaking at industry events, or learning new techniques and technologies. If there's something you're passionate about, we want you to pursue it so you can teach it to the rest of us. Our company Lunch & Learns, Sticky Note Game, and regular practice meetings are just some of the ways we create space for sharing, learning, and professional development.ย ย \n\n\nWhat We Offerย \n\nWe believe in equitable pay. The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000. In addition to our base compensation, we offer a bi-annual bonus based on company performance and the following benefits, intended to take care of you (and the people you care about):ย \n\n-Quality health insurance\n-Paid parental leave policy (equal for all TXI parents) and discretionary paid time off\n-401k plan, including employer matching\n-The option to work fully remote with minimal client or onsite client work\n-Company retreats and Quarterly days \n- a chance to connect with each other in person and outside of the office\n-Benefits for continuing education, donation matching, renewable energy switchingย \n\n\nLocationย \n\nUS-friendly hours are strongly preferred. We have a remote-first environment at TXIโ€“with distributed team members in the US, Canada, and Europe who are working from home. We communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote environment with tools like Miro, Notion, Slack, and Zoom. We also prioritize virtual bonding and values such as inclusivity, autonomy and trust while ensuring we take steps to foster positive interactions between employees.ย \n\nWhile we encourage asynchronous communication, we often work in pairs or in collaboration sessions, so it is important to have some core hours of overlap with our clients and fellow team members. Regardless of where you are living and working, we will get together in person and as a company several times a year to help build connections and foster relationships within our team.ย \n\n\nWhat to expect nextย \n\nIf we move forward, here's the rest of the process that weโ€™ll use to learn whether this role is an amazing fit for you:ย \n\nInitial Interviews: First, youโ€™ll chat with a TXI recruiter. After connecting with our recruiting team, youโ€™ll meet the hiring lead over Zoom and cover some TXI basics. Then, the conversation will focus on your past work and how it relates to what youโ€™d be doing at TXI. This stage is a 2-call process and should take no more than 90 min total (unless you want to dig in, chat more and spend some extra time learning about us!).ย \n\nVirtual Pairing Session: Here is where we give you a preview for the role, as well as the space to show off your skills. Youโ€™ll build a simple app that is intended to allow you to set up your environment, use the tools you're most comfortable with, and choose the languages and frameworks in which you feel most confident. You will then pair with 2 developers on the team to build upon it. This stage should take no more than 90 minutes total and we'll both have a clear sense of how we work together by the end.ย \n\nFinal All Team interview: At this stage we're incredibly excited about your potential with TXI. Youโ€™ll get to know more about the team you'd be working with over a 3.5 hour-long session. You'll hang out with 6 to 8 of your potential integrated team members, and we will learn more about your holistic fullstack tech experience, consultative skills, and values. You will also spend time with some of our leadership team to talk about how TXI can support you on your personal journey.ย \n\nOffer/Decision within 24-48 hours: Youโ€™ve made it! You successfully completed the process and spent about 6-7 hours learning about us while sharing more about yourself. Once we get to this stage, we like to move fast. We are committed to debriefing within 24 hours and presenting a final decision within 48 hours (or less!) of your final interview day. If we choose to move forward, our team will collaborate with you to ensure that you have all the information you need to make the right decision for you and your career!ย ย ย ย \n\n\nWe take equality seriouslyย \n\nTXI is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is committed to equal opportunity employment without regard to race, religion, color, gender (including gender identity, change of sex, and transgender status), sexual orientation, age, disability, ancestry, national origin, military or veteran status, marital status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.ย ย \n\nIn an effort to protect our employees and their families during these unusual times, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment with TXI.ย  This means all individuals must be fully-vaccinated (i.e. two weeks after their second shot for a 2-dose vaccine such as Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson) to be employed with TXI.ย  Of course, we are willing to consider requests for accommodation on an individualized basis.ย  Any medical information will be kept confidential.\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Travel, Mobile, Medical and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $75,000 — $120,000/year\n

*Barsala is working to unlock unique locations to stay in cities across the globe.*\n\nEvery building needs Barsala. Building owners work tirelessly to bring on new, creative developments into cities that enable people to explore the area in a unique way and feel inspired while doing so. Developing buildings is high risk, and Barsala increases the chances that the building owner will make a return on their investment by monetizing their vacant apartments.\n\nTravelers have evolved over time. Hotels aren't friendly for those staying for extended periods of time, and other rental options has a lack of consistency that leaves the traveler wondering if the owner will accidentally open the door to their room.\n\nBarsala offers fully furnished, livable spaces for remote workers, business travelers, digital nomads, and anyone else who is looking for a better way to stay. These come equipped with a washer/dryer and kitchen, and they provide unique opportunities for people to explore new cities.\n\n**About the Role**\n\nBarsala is looking for a product-focused engineer that can implement creative solutions across a variety of products, and build world class technology for our guests and building partners.\n\n**What You'll Do:**\n\n* Build key components of the Barsala platform: \n * A world-class hotel suite of guest applications that empowers them to take full advantage of their stays\n * Includes our web platform, mobile app, checkin form, and the API that powers all of them\n * Smart home and building IoT integrations for a next generation hospitality experience\n * Identity verification and improvements to our fraud detection services\n * Applications for our building owners to help manage and improve their experience with Barsala\n* Collaborate with stakeholders across the world to drive teams towards high impact\n* Help us grow our new team by interviewing and recruiting new engineers\n* Develop a culture of high ownership, innovation, empathy, and collaboration\n* Make investments in engineering reliability, productivity, and excellence\n\n**Why you might be excited about us**\n* Weโ€™re building the future of travel. Weโ€™re a passionate team of individuals that love to travel and explore new cities, and we take that energy into building an experience thatโ€™s unlike what exists today ๐Ÿ˜Ž\n* Youโ€™ll work closely and communicate directly with product owners at Barsala and work with them to build the right solutions to the problems they face\n* You'll quickly have responsibility over big areas of our products.\n* The future is very bright - weโ€™ve bootstrapped the company to ~1,000 properties across 12 different cities. We've recently raised a round of funding and are looking to accelerate this growth in 2022! ๐Ÿš€\n\n**Why you might not be excited about us**\n* We're a relatively small team, so if you like more established teams, it's not (yet) the right time. You'll help build our company's culture.\n* Since we're still a startup, projects and priorities may shift.\n* Since you'll have a lot of responsibility and creativity over projects, they may not be defined perfectly initially. You'll be expected to bring your own experience and perspective to help us do the right things, and raise flags if you think we should do things differently.\n\n**About you**\n* Minimum 4 years of experience designing, building, enterprise-grade or consumer-facing software \n* Strong proficiency in Node, React and React Native, and preferably Next.js\n* Experience or confidence in their ability to lead teams to accomplish projects end to end\n* Detail-oriented, has a muscle for making trade-offs between technical perfection and time to go live\n* Strong communication skills and comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders\n* Successful track record in challenging engineering roles within startups\n* Comfortable establishing standards in codebases for others to follow\n\n**Why Barsala?**\n* Generous equity compensation\n* Annual credits and discounted rates to Barsala properties โœˆ๏ธ\n* WeWork membership reimbursement\n* Professional development reimbursement\n* Home office & technology reimbursement\n* Remote work opportunities\n* Opportunity to:\n * Grow as a technical leader within our engineering team, getting experience coordinating with other engineers and mentoring them\n * Gain technical ownership over numerous products \n* Exact title flexible based on level of experience\n* We provide medical, dental and vision insurance \n\nPlease mention the word **GLOWING** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4yMzY=). \nWe are a diverse team from around the world, on a mission to make DuckDuckGo the company people trust most with their online privacy, and we want your help!\n\nJoin us as a Senior macOS Engineer and help shape the DuckDuckGo experience across the macOS platform.\n\nAs part of our growing team you will collaborate with team members at all levels to identify and work to close major gaps in our product offering. Examples of projects you might work on include expanding our content blocking functionality, prototyping new macOS product ideas, or experiments to improve adoption and retention of our Safari App Extension. You will take direct responsibility of macOS application features, drive improvements, and own product maintenance.\n\nWe are fully-remote, and empower our team to be self-directed and self-motivated in their projects. If you'd thrive in that environment, and our core values resonate with you -- build trust, question assumptions, and validate direction - you'll fit right in!\n\nWhat you will do:\n\n\n* Help to identify opportunities to increase searches and enhance the standard of trust online.\n\n* Lead projects from proposal through postmortem, assessing vague problems, proposing high impact solutions, and executing them against a set of success criteria.\n\n* Own major application features and take responsibility for their maintenance and improvement over time.\n\n* Play a key role in improving the software architecture.\n\n* Step up to resolve product issues – large and small.\n\n* Improve applications directly by proposing and implementing mobile solutions.\n\n* Collaborate with peers remotely during product brainstorms, technical design discussions, pair programming sessions and code reviews.\n\n* Write pragmatic, performant, and testable code that works consistently across devices.\n\n\n\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\n\n* Previous experience working on at least two large native macOS/iOS applications, at least one of which is macOS.\n\n* Experience programming in Swift. Programming experience in JavaScript, Objective C, C++, Kotlin is a bonus.\n\n* Comfortable learning new languages and ideas.\n\n* Application architecture experience\n\n* Deep understanding of MV* concepts\n\n* Familiarity with concurrency, and memory management and how they apply to applications.\n\n* Comfortable working with the different libraries and components on macOS.\n\n* Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team including UI/UX\n\n* Experience or interest in project advisory, contributing strategically and/or mentoring.\n\n\n\n\nOther things to know:\n\n\n* While we leverage specific job titles for hiring purposes, we do not use them internally. Instead, we follow our own professional levels with expectations clearly defined across several dimensions.\n\n* We are a small, remote team distributed across time zones, and we rely on a variety of communication tools throughout the day\n\n* Sometimes we meet up! Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for our all-hands meetup and again for a team retreat (each ~4-5 days). (Please note we will only hold these trips when it is safe to do so, and people feel comfortable.)\n\n* We believe in a focused approach to collaboration, where individual team members work on a single top priority at a time, each supporting larger, company-wide objectives. This philosophy serves to impact our vision to raise the standard of trust online.\n\n* Our work philosophy centers on empowered project management. All team members have opportunities to run projects.\n\n* Transparency supports individual and team success at DuckDuckGo. We encourage everyone to participate in areas of interest throughout the company. Anyone and everyone can (and should) ask questions and offer feedback about our products and internal projects.\n\n* We aim to exemplify our values (build trust, question assumptions, and validate direction) in everything we do.\n\n* While this is a full time job, we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, expecting an average commitment of 40 hours per week.\n\n* We support professional development of our team members through career advisory and a learning stipend, reinforcing our culture of growth and skill building.\n\n\n\n\nDuckDuckGo does not work with any recruiting agencies or services. Instead, we work with each candidate one-on-one throughout a unique hiring process that we've built to reflect our company culture.\n\nDuckDuckGo provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment, and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.\n\nIf you think you might thrive in this environment, we would love to hear from you. You will be directly responsible for mobile application features, taking ownership over product maintenance, and driving improvements.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\n\n* Lead development of projects by taking vague problems, scoping them into high impact projects, and executing them against a set of success criteria\n\n* Play a key role in improving the software architecture\n\n* Take responsibility for solving product issues – large and small.\n\n* Implement and/or create mobile solutions to improve apps directly.\n\n* Collaborate with peers on product brainstorms, technical design discussions, pair programming sessions and code reviews.\n\n* Write pragmatic, testable code that works consistently across devices and is performant.\n\n\n\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\n\n* Significant Android development experience (5+ years)\n\n* Previous experience as a tech lead\n\n* Highly proficient in Kotlin\n\n* Previous engineering experience beyond the usual Android technologies such as Android NDK, C++, backend development or web development\n\n* Expertise working on at least two large applications\n\n* Effective project management skills\n\n* Familiarity with MVC/MVVC concepts and how they apply to mobile applications\n\n* Familiarity with mobile threading and memory management\n\n* Ability to develop and use complicated data structures and algorithms. This includes understanding the fundamentals, as well as navigating and improving existing code.\n\n* Ability to develop effective UX solutions through user feedback loops leveraging both quantitative and qualitative metrics.\n\n* Creative problem-solvers and risk-takers. You like to take initiative in pushing a project forward, but know when to get others involved.\n\n* Strong communication skills. You can validate and communicate your decisions clearly.\n\n\n\n\nOther things to know:\n\n\n* We are a small, remote team in different time zones and communicate with a variety of tools throughout the day. You should feel comfortable with the intricacies of this type of work situation.\n\n* Sometimes we meet up! You can expect to travel at least 2x a year: once for our all-hands meetup and another for a team retreat (each ~4-5 days)\n\n* We want to have a major impact on raising the standard of trust online. To do this we believe in a focused approach, with company-wide objectives, and with each team member working on a single top priority at a time.\n\n* Our work philosophy is built upon empowered project management. All team members have opportunities to run projects.\n\n* All projects are run transparently, and we encourage everyone to participate in areas of interest throughout the company. Anyone and everyone can (and should) ask questions and offer feedback around the product and internal projects.\n\n* We try to exemplify our values (build trust, question assumptions, and validate direction) in everything we do.\n\n\n\n\nDuckDuckGo does not work with any recruiting agencies or services.  A big part of our culture is to work with each candidate on a one-to-one basis throughout our unique hiring process.\n\nDuckDuckGo provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment, and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.\n\nIf you think you might thrive in this environment, we would love to hear from you.  Use the application below to apply! \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Executive, Android, Tech Lead, Travel, Mobile and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

\nThe Role \nWe're looking for a product engineer to help launch new features, expand test coverage, bolster our API, and improve site and platform reliability as we grow and expand. The ideal candidate is someone who values code simplicity, readability and reliability but who also realizes that successful software is more than just a passing test.... it's a delighted customer!\n\nYour role will be to build and support a SaaS tool (called "Connect") that helps teachers, coaches, and other activity providers manage their businesses (i.e. scheduling, payment processing, CRM, etc.). You'll work closely with our product team to find the sweet spot somewhere between customer development, design and code - that's where great product lives! As our team's fourth engineer, you'll also have a hand in helping set the tone for overall technical direction. You could be someone who wants to remain an individual contributor or someone who wants to grow and manage an engineering team. We're open to both.\n\nWe work at a fast pace, iterating on product ideas and pushing code nearly every day. You should be excited by the prospect of having your hands deep in the product, but also realize that building software can be a dirty (and scary) business. Indeed, we're a small team, so you'll own significant chunks of the product. That's cool - until it's 3 am and you realize the code you just pushed brought down our API, but you have no idea why... \n\nThe team is based in San Francisco, but we're open to making this a remote position. If you're not located in the Bay Area, we'd establish clear and open lines of communication (we use Slack, so this shouldn't be difficult) and would aim to spend at least one week per quarter working together in person (we'd, of course, cover travel & lodging).\n\nOur Stack:\n\nRuby (2.4.x)\n\nRails (5.2.x)\n\nPostgreSQL\n\nSolr\n\nResque (Redis)\n\nStripe\n\nJQuery\n\nAWS\n\nHeroku\n\nTypical Week:\n\n\n* Work with the mobile team to build out our private API.\n\n* Build out new features, while also maintaining existing features, for our web-based provider platform.\n\n* Work with support staff to help triage bugs.\n\n* Participate in code reviews whenever necessary.\n\n* Work with the design/product team to whiteboard new product ideas. \n\n* Improve or expand existing analytics coverage (Mixpaneland New Relic).\n\n* Write or expand existing test coverage.\n\n\n\n\nWhat We're Looking For \n\n\n* Experience writing web applications for 5+ years and can point to things you've worked on. Having a corpus of code is essential definitely ask to see what you've been working on.\n\n* You're self-motivated and you've worked at a startup before and/or have a willingness to work on a small, distributed team. You know and embrace what it means to work in a "lean startup" environment.\n\n* You have experience programming with languages such as Ruby, Python, or PHP and have a good understanding of MVC frameworks such as Rails or Django.\n\n* You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval. Although it's not essential that you have some sort of academic background in computer science, it's essential that you be fluent in describing the way that code becomes product.\n\n* You communicate good. Whether you're based in SF or not, you'll be expected to communicate complex technical concepts to the non-technical members of our team (e.g. design, support, sales, etc.).\n\n* You're comfortable both building and using RESTful APIs.\n\n* When things break, you are eager and able to help fix them.\n\n* You want to leave everything better than you found it: the code, the product...\n\n\n\n\nCare.com\n\nSince launching in 2007, Care.com (NYSE: CRCM) has been committed to solving the complex care challenges that impact families, caregivers, employers, and care service companies. Today, Care.com is the world's largest online destination for finding and managing family care, with 16.9 million families and 12.7 million caregivers* across more than 20 countries, including the U.S., UK, Canada and parts of Western Europe, and approximately 1.4 million employees of corporate clients having access to our services. Spanning child care to senior care, pet care, housekeeping and more, Care.com provides a sweeping array of services for families and caregivers to find, manage and pay for care or find employment. These include: a comprehensive suite of safety tools and resources members may use to help make more informed hiring decisions - such as third-party background check services, monitored messaging, and tips on hiring best practices; easy ways for caregivers to be paid online or via mobile app; and Care.com Benefits, including the household payroll and tax services provided by Care.com HomePay and the Care Benefit Bucks program, a peer-to-peer pooled, portable benefits platform funded by household employer contributions which provides caregivers access to professional benefits. For enterprise clients, Care.com builds customized benefits packages covering child care, back up care and senior care consulting services through its Care@Work business, and serves care businesses with marketing and recruiting support. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, Care.com has offices in Berlin, Austin and the San Francisco Bay area.\n\n*As of June 2018\n\nCare.com supports diverse families and communities and seeks employees who are just as diverse. As an equal opportunity employer, Care.com recognizes the power of a diverse workforce and encourages applications from individuals with varied experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Engineer, Executive, Payroll, PHP, Travel, Mobile, Senior, Marketing and SaaS jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $110,000/year\n

\nHi! We’re Action Verb.\n\nWe build two Infrastructure-as-a-Service Platforms that empower organizations worldwide.\n\nOur products include BrickFTP, a hosted file sharing service for business, and Vae Platform, a unique web hosting platform with an integrated CMS system.\n\nOur company consists of 15 (but growing to 19 by the end of the year) full time USA-based staff, as well as sales and support outposts in France, Germany, and Latin America.\n\nOur infrastructure platforms are used by over 2,000 enterprises and SMBs, including Mozilla, Canonical, UPS, DirecTV, GoPro, Marriott, and more.\n\nOur Success Strategy\n\nWe’ve been able to achieve the rare combination of high double-digit annual growth and industry leading profitability.\n\nWe do it by aggressively recruiting the absolute best and brightest people and structuring our company in a way that makes them want to work here forever.\n\nIt’s easy to say, but exceptionally hard to execute. Here’s how we do it.\n\nWe Practice Holacracy\n\nWe are one of the early adopters of Holacracy, a new style of running an organization in a self-organizing manner that draws inspiration from agile software development and lean manufacturing processes.\n\nRather than hiring people for exactly one job description, we instead look to find well rounded team members with skills in software engineering, design, marketing, sales, and our other needs who are interested in filling multiple roles within the organization.\n\nAs a self-organizing team, our people have multiple roles and our role descriptions are regularly updated via small iterations. As their interests change and our needs change, the roles people fill change dynamically over time.\n\n"Most startups believe in iteration of their products. Now they need to apply the same thinking to their organizations."\n– Adam Pisoni, Yammer co-founder & CTO\n\nHolacracy is not unstructured: you’ll have a clear understanding of your current roles and responsibilities, as well as a set of rules and processes for changing those roles and responsibilities in real time.\n\nEven though Holacracy is a lot to learn, we have a great onboarding process and the rest of our team will guide you through your first few months. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a weeklong official Holacracy training event at our expense.\n\nMORE ABOUT OUR HOLACRACY PRACTICE→\n\nWe also practice Open Book Management, meaning that we share the exact details of our Balance Sheet and P&L Statement with our entire team in real-time, ensuring that our staff has the data they need to treat the business as if it were their own.\n\nMORE ABOUT OPEN BOOK MANAGEMENT→\n\nOur team members work from home and choose their own hours, allowing them to make time for family, recreation, vacations, or anything that is important to them.\n\nEvery full-time team member gets 10 company-wide holidays per year as well as 20 paid time off days intended to be used for vacations. Go have fun. Don’t work all the time.\n\nOur team members also work hard, are constantly learning, and accomplish a ton for the company in the time that they are working.\n\nOur team spends at least 12 days together face-to-face per year at four to six in-person meetings spread out through the year and hosted all over the country. We try to do these meetings in cities that are fun to visit. In the last few years, we’ve been to Austin, Orlando, Minneapolis, San Diego, Las Vegas, New York City, Detroit, and Fort Lauderdale.\n\nDesign Skills We’re Looking For\n\nThis position is designed to appeal to designers who are not afraid to get their hands dirty writing code. You will be working on web applications, mobile apps, desktop apps, marketing websites, and email.\n\nWe are looking for candidates who bring the following skills to the table:\n\n\n* Experience with web application design, marketing website design, and offline (print) design\n\n* Comprehensive understanding of UI/UX principles\n\n* Solid web front-end development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Even though we have a great team to help you integrate your designs with our applications, in order to be a great application designer, we expect that you can implement enough JavaScript to make your designs come to life (even in a basic way).\n\n* Experience and interest in both actual application design and marketing design. We want our designers to be able to work on both sides.\n\n* History designing and supporting actual applications that have seen production usage with a large userbase.\n\n\n\n\nOur best applicants tend to have at least 5 years history of producing marketing websites and web or mobile applications.\n\nWe expect to see an extensive portfolio that includes both static websites and applications.\n\nSome of Our Core Beliefs\n\nWe believe that everyone in the company should have programming skills. We want everyone here to be able to take their ideas and bring them to life. For designers, that means you have to be able to write code. It doesn’t mean you have to be an expert, but you should at least be able to implement intermediate-level jQuery and also work with React.\n\nWe believe that allowing and supporting 100% remote work gives us access to great people we wouldn’t otherwise be able to hire. We tend to hire folks who are later in their careers, which means they usually have their family established somewhere. By offering remote work, we can hire the best people, no matter where they’re located.\n\nWe believe that the best way we can acquire top talent is by being an amazing place to work. Work from home, travel with the team, and surround yourself with top tier people at Action Verb. Read about everything we’ve done to make working at Action Verb great.\n\nWe believe that building great infrastructure and platform products requires a great internal infrastructure. We have Continuous Integration, a full staging environment, and considerable test coverage. We built our own application deployment system. We self-manage our server environment on Amazon Web Services and custom hardware.\n\nWe believe that engineers should support what they build. We expect our teammates to take responsibilty for the engineering decisions they make. If there are performance problems in production, nobody should have to chase anyone down. All engineers participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and all engineers speak to customers.\n\nWe believe in building products that we actually use ourselves. We are our own toughest critics and we put all of our products through their paces every day.\n\nREAD THE REST OF OUR CORE BELIEFS→\n\nSalary and Pay\n\nAs you might expect from a company that is so open, we also post our salary information right here in the job post. We will pay you $100,000 in your first year, plus a great benefits package, and a $2,500 signing bonus to purchase a new computer.\n\nAfter your first year with Action Verb, we will update your salary based on the value that you have been able to demonstrate for the company. We continue to update salary levels every year. It is possible to reach a pay level of double the starting salary if you come in and absolutely crush it.\n\nWe fully pay for your health insurance (exact plan details depend on your state of residence), and we’ll pick up the tab for 50% of your spouse or family if they wish to also join the healthcare plan. We want your family to be healthy.\n\nWe recognize that other companies may offer higher initial salary offers or signing bonuses, but at Action Verb, we know that for our ideal candidate, the exact level of pay is just one criteria by which they choose where to work. Our goal is to offer the greatest work environment possible and pay people well enough to make it possible for them to join the team. Come learn our way of working, take on as many roles as you can, and establish yourself as a valuable asset to us. Then after your first year, we’ll re-evaluate your salary and make sure it’s more than fair, given the value you’ve been able to generate for the company.\n\nPlus, you can join Action Verb Risk Free because of our $7,500 Quitting Bonus Within Your First 90 Days.\n\nWe get it. Holacracy is new. Working remote is hard. We love these things about our culture, but you might not be sure if you do. Or maybe you just don’t trust us that we really do embody the Core Beliefs on this webpage. To our prospects who may be on the fence about joining Action Verb, we want to make one more offer to push you over the edge and convince you to join us.\n\nIf you don’t like working at Action Verb for any reason, quit within the first 90 days and receive a $7,500 quitting bonus. That should be enough to keep you and your family afloat while you decide on your next path. We hope that you won’t take us up on the offer, but we want you to feel good knowing that it’s there.\n\nReady To Apply?\n\nWorking here isn’t for everyone, but if you think it might be for you, please apply.\n\nWe only read cover letters in our first screening round, so make sure yours counts. The following are topics we’d like to see addressed in your cover letter:\n\n\n* Why does this opportunity specifically appeal to you?\n\n* How well do you align with Our Core Beliefs? Is there anything you would add or change?\n\n* Why would working remotely for Action Verb change your life for the better?\n\n* Are you familiar with Holacracy? Any questions or concerns?\n\n* What’s lacking in your current work arrangement that we could improve?\n\n* What are your philosophies on design?\n\n* What does designing great software look like?\n\n\n\n\nWe look forward to reading your letter! \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to SaaS, Design, Digital Nomad, JavaScript, Amazon, Travel, Mobile, Marketing, jQuery and Sales jobs that are similar:\n\n $67,500 — $120,000/year\n
