\nThis role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Originโs multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. \n\nThe role includes both personnel management of Lunar Integration and Test Engineers in Washington and project engineering for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks and simulation environments to validate the functionality, scalability, and robustness of our software solutions.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand supply chain requirements and develop software solutions for automated warehouse management systems.\n* Design and implement software solutions using Discrete Event Simulation (DES) tools to model and optimize supply chain processes.\n* Develop simulation models to evaluate the performance of automated warehouse management systems and identify areas for optimization.\n* Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for supply chain automation projects.\n* Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate simulation models with existing software systems and automate data collection for analysis.\n* Analyze simulation results and provide actionable insights to improve supply chain efficiency and optimize warehouse operations.\n* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to supply chain management and warehouse automation.\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n* 7-10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on supply chain management and automated warehouse management systems.\n* Ability to sufficiently read electrical schematics.\n* Experience in modeling physical processes in the Supply Chain, such as conveyance/transportation, container picks, puts, moves, sortation & Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).\n* Experience with Discrete Event Simulation (DES) tools such as SimPy, AnyLogic, Simul8, or FlexSim.\n* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.\n* Experience with building, supporting, maintaining, and scaling automation in a CI/CD environment.\n* Experience with Git, Unix/Linux, Docker, and at least one modern testing framework (like PyTest), and familiar with other common web and mobile testing frameworks\n* Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts and automated warehouse operations.\n* Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.\n* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\n* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.\n\n\n\nGood to Have:\n* Load and Performance testing experience.\n* Mobile testing frameworks.\n* GoLang.\n* Windows Desktop Automation.\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin our team and be part of revolutionizing warehouse management with cutting-edge automation technologies!\n\n\nEnsure your Fanatics job offer is legitimate and donโt fall victim to fraud.
