Remote Technical Artist
\nTechnical Artist (REMOTE)\n\nVGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play games. \n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Artist to join our Golden Feather Studios in Sydney.\n\nThis is a brand new role to assist and support in the overall development of our games. Bridging the gap between Design and Engineering. Identify gaps in process or propose improvements to our development pipeline. \n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\n\nBuild comprehensive video demos of game features and examples using Adobe After Effects.\n\nCreate references (formal screenshots and early concepts) for slot game elements, using mostly existing assets, throughout the game lifecycle.\n\nCreate implementation-ready game packages by exporting, optimising, and organising game assets. \n\nCreate detailed documentation of game behaviours and files.\n\nAssist our engineers during the game development cycle with overall asset preparations and modifications as needed.\n\nIdentify pipeline and process improvements. \n\nSeek different processes or tools to improve our game pipeline. \n\nWork with the Product Owner and team leads to formalise and agree on standards for locations, sizes, formats & naming conventions of assets.\n\n\n\n\nWhat you will bring to the role:\n\n\nA solid level of experience using Adobe After Effects.\n\nAn enthusiasm to spend large chunks of time creating video references in After Effects showing our (sometimes complex) slot game behaviours.\n\nSlots experience highly preferred.\n\nProficiency in Adobe Photoshop.\n\nExperience with optimising and handling digital assets. \n\nHigh degree of accuracy and detail with creating and maintaining documentation. \n\nGood communication skills, to be able to assist and collaborate with other creative roles and departments.\n\n\n\n\nAbout VGW\n\nVGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play games.\n\nWith high-quality, acclaimed brands including Chumba Casino, Global Poker and LuckyLand Slots, we entertain and delight over one million players in North America.\n\nAs pioneers in sweepstakes promotions for online social games, we also offer our players the opportunity to redeem incredible prizes.\n\nAt VGW, one of our core values is "our players come first".
