We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planner in JIS (Just-In Sequence) Planning for Inhouse Logistics to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring precise planning and coordination of logistics activities to support our unique Just-In-Sequence operations in vehicle manufacturing. Here's what else you'll do:\n\nJIS Planning: \n\n\n* Develop and implement Just-In-Sequence (JIS) planning strategies for in-house logistics operations at Scout Motors. \n\n* Collaborate closely with production teams to align logistics activities with vehicle production schedules. \n\n\n\n\nMaterial Sequencing:\n\n\n* Plan and sequence the delivery of materials in precise accordance with vehicle production requirements. \n\n* Optimize material sequencing to ensure smooth and timely production processes for Scout Motors vehicles.\n\n\n\n\nCoordination with Suppliers:\n\n\n* Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials in the required sequence. \n\n* Collaborate with suppliers to enhance the efficiency and reliability of JIS logistics for Scout Motors. \n\n\n\n\nData Analysis: \n\n\n* Analyze data related to JIS logistics performance, vehicle production schedules, and material availability. \n\n* Utilize data insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve JIS planning processes specific to Scout Motors. \n\n\n\n\nContinuous Improvement: \n\n\n* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in JIS planning and in-house logistics at Scout Motors. \n\n* Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of logistics operations within our automotive manufacturing. \n\n\n\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration: \n\n\n* Collaborate with production, procurement, and other relevant teams at Scout Motors to address JIS-related challenges.\n\n* Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on JIS planning requirements for vehicle production. \n\n\n\n\nTechnology Utilization:\n\n\n* Utilize advanced planning tools and software tailored to JIS logistics optimization in the automotive sector.\n\n* Stay updated on technological advancements in logistics planning relevant to vehicle manufacturing. \n\n\n\n\nLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role is onsite out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC.
