\nBranding Brand is looking for a full-time senior systems developer / operations engineer to help us expand our infrastructure for the next generation of online application hosting.\n\nDo you want to build with the latest tooling? As a member of our team, you’ll get to utilize bleeding-edge cloud networking technology like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio to help us build, maintain, and optimize an enterprise-scale network, hosting hundreds of applications across multiple major cloud network providers.\n\nAre you interested in the red team or the blue? We design our network with a security-first methodology utilizing state-of-the-art industry standard IDS and IPS to help us protect our clients and our customers from the malicious dark corners of the internet.\n\nDo you like learning about and leveraging new tools? We offer a wide array of different solutions to our clients so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to be exposed to and master a variety of technologies.\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* \n\nDesign and implement automated network and web hosting architecture for distributed applications\n\n\n* \n\nManage configuration and administration of linux virtual servers and networks\n\n\n* \n\nManage internal tooling and logging\n\n\n* \n\nWork with internal departments to resolve issues and scale systems\n\n\n* \n\nHandle service monitoring and alert response\n\n\n* \n\nParticipate in an on-call alert schedule\n\n\n* \n\nAct as a source of knowledge for other departments\n\n\n* \n\nImplement secure systems development best practices\n\n\n* \n\nParticipate in ongoing security training and awareness\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDesired Skills & Experience\n\n\n* \n\nMinimum BS in computing-related field\n\n\n* \n\nMinimum of three years of experience working in a large scale 24/7/365 environment\n\n\n* \n\nProficiency in Linux\n\n\n* \n\nExperience building highly available / distributed systems\n\n\n* \n\nCompetency in data structures, algorithms, and software design\n\n\n* \n\nExperience in building and deploying containerized applications\n\n\n* \n\nExperience in microservices\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with managing large data sets\n\n\n* \n\nProficiency in writing and maintaining Ruby & Node.js applications\n\n\n* \n\nStrong knowledge of Nginx, HAProxy, Redis tuning\n\n\n* \n\nStrong knowledge of Git & Github\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points if Familiar with the Following:\n\n\n* \n\nAWS and/or GCP\n\n\n* \n\nTraditional Networking\n\n\n* \n\nConfiguration Management Systems (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Packer)\n\n\n* \n\nContinuous Integration (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc)\n\n\n* \n\nContainer Orchestration (Kubernetes, DC/OS, Mesos + Marathon, etc)\n\n\n* \n\nService Mesh (Istio, AWS App Mesh, etc)\n\n\n* \n\nMonitoring, Logging and Event management (ELK, Sensu, Prometheus, etc)\n\n\n* \n\nSystem Hardening Best Practices\n\n\n* \n\nSystem Security Compliance\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
