\nAs a Principal Front-End Engineer at Lastline, you will get to work on the front end architecture and collaboratively drive the technical architecture, design and development of the web-based user interface of Lastline’s products. The UI is a central component of our product and is used by many customers across the globe. As part of the UI team, you will collaborate on developing new features while re-architecting the underlying UI codebase on-the-fly. The UI team partners closely with our backend engineering team, our UX team, our visual design team, and our product team to build and deliver a world class front-end experience.\n\nYour job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\n\n\n* Re-architecting the existing UI codebase in order to leverage modern front-end technologies for delivering a cutting edge user experience\n\n* Architecting and implementing new UI components and visualizations; integrating the components into Lastline products\n\n* Creating and managing the technical UI roadmap for our front-end team\n\n* Driving best practices; choosing technology; improving the quality of our code base\n\n* Using technology and processes to improve developer productivity\n\n* Collaboratively work as part of a geographically distributed R&D team\n\n* Participating in code reviews, mentoring junior team members.\n\n* Troubleshooting and fixing issues\n\n* Reducing technical debt\n\n\n\n\nThe successful candidate will have curiosity and passion for the products and the technology in addition to the following:\n\n\n* 5+ years of software engineering experience\n\n* 3+ most recent years focused exclusively on front-end development and architecture with JavaScript (ES5, ES6), Typescript, CSS (Sass, Less) and HTML\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science\n\n* Extensive knowledge and practical experience writing modular JavaScript in ES6\n\n* Familiarity with common JavaScript design patterns\n\n* Extensive hands-on experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, AngularJS\n\n* Experience implementing and maintaining modern JavaScript application tooling such as Webpack\n\n* Comfortable using version control systems such as Git\n\n* Comfortable working in Linux\n\n* Comfortable working in an Agile environment\n\n* Experience implementing data visualizations, using tools such as D3.js\n\n* Experience defining and enforcing code standards through documentation and static analysis\n\n* Experience with unit, mock and integration testing\n\n* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written\n\n* Passion for collaboration and mentorship\n\n* Passion for writing high-quality software\n\n* Ability to learn new technologies quickly\n\n\n\n\nThe following skills and experience are not required, but will strengthen a candidate’s application:\n\n\n* Experience in Cyber Security.\n\n* Experience architecting and implementing micro frontends\n\n* Experience with Node\n\n* Experience with GraphQL\n\n* Ability to make accurate estimations\n\n* Track record of on-time delivery\n\n* Mentor or supervisory experience\n\n\n\n\nWe are looking for a passionate, dedicated individual who is a great team player, a self-starter and is self-motivated in their work and career.
