\nFull Stack Developer (Remote or Onsite)\n\nWe’re looking for someone to\n\n\n* Build our web based products at pi-top, to help change the face of STEAM education.\n\n* Work closely with our product managers, finding technical solutions to help tackle the problems faced by educators implementing computer science and STEAM based curriculums in their classroom.\n\n* Work with our pedagogy and content team to find the most effective and accessible ways to deliver a great STEAM education to all learners.\n\n\n\n\nProjects you'll likely be contributing to\n\n\n* pi-topCLASSROOM, our tool for educators to deliver physical computing and project based learning curriculums to their students using pi-top.\n\n* Our API for storing and delivering educational content and user's progress data to hundreds of thousands of pi-tops all around the world.\n\n* Our microservices that help the business keep running, from helping our marketing and customer support team connect with our community, to supporting our logistics team deliver pi-tops to education institutes and makers the world over.\n\n* Developing new green-field projects and prototypes and experimenting with new technologies\n\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nSkills we’re after\n\n\n* Expert knowledge of JavaScript.\n\n* In-depth experience with Node.js\n\n* Experience building user interfaces with React, or another client-side framework.\n\n* Strong HTML/CSS skills, and knowledge of cross-browser quirks.\n\n* Familiarity with Flux application architecture, and experience using one of its implementations.\n\n* Attention to detail in creating great experiences for our users.\n\n* A passion for great quality, well-tested code.\n\n* Knowledge of REST best practices.\n\n* Familiarity with node and express.\n\n* Experienced in working with Git.\n\n* Flexibility! We’re a fast-growing company, so we’re looking for individuals that can adapt to new challenges as we continue on our journey\n\n\n\n\nBonus points for\n\n\n* Technical leadership and mentoring experience.\n\n* Prior experience building products for education.\n\n* A passion for physical computing, and learning by making.\n\n\n\n\nCool stuff you’ll get to do\n\n\n* 10% of your time set aside to learn new tech, or work on passion projects.\n\n* Travel to events and conferences around the world, helping run workshops for on physical computing.
