As a software engineer at Axial, you will work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, UX Designers, and QA engineers to ship features that have a meaningful impact on our business. You will have a direct influence on our technical decisions and process improvements. What you could be working on:\n\n\n* Frontend - building reusable Angular components\n\n* Backend - developing restful endpoints and microservices in python\n\n* Match Engine - implementing modifications and improvements to our core feature\n\n* R&D - participating in research areas, such as machine learning, for improvements and new features\n\n\n\n\nYou’re an ideal candidate if you ...\n\n\n* Have at least 3 years of experience working in a real production environment shipping code to customers\n\n* Are intellectually curious, humble, and discerning\n\n* Communicate effectively and collaborate well\n\n* Are not afraid of git and command line\n\n* Want to work in New York City or are experienced working remotely from 1 or 2 time zones away\n\n\n\n\nAnd can tick some of the following … \n\n\n* Built web components (Angular a plus)\n\n* Programmed using reactive patterns\n\n* Built a restful api (Python a plus)\n\n* Strong knowledge in SQL and Postgres\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
