Frequently have direct responsibility for product features or key technology choices and implementation. Collaborates as part of a team for the development of complex systems; including requirements analysis, concept development and design, implementation and testing, demonstrating flexibility of role as required.\n\n\n* Candidates located in other areas of MA & NH are also welcome to apply\n\n\n\n\nMain Duties\n\n\n* Drive design and implementation leveraging modern design patterns\n\n* Ability to partner effectively with UX, PM, DevOps, QE and other developers to design and implement meeting the spirit of requirements\n\n* Pride in authorship of code\n\n* Experience in modern front end frameworks\n\n* Technically curious to keep present on advances in technology\n\n* Experience with segregation of model, presentation, and business logic.\n\n* TDD experience and strong desire to build in test from the start.\n\n* Write code (Test or Product) to deliver against project timescales, quality and requirements in various languages including Java or other selected languages for Sophos Cloud products.\n\n* Conduct Unit, System and Integration testing and fixing errors, with guidance if required.\n\n* Work with best of breed Cloud technologies (NoSQL, high throughput event processing, cloud-scale data analytics, etc)\n\n* Design small software components (Functionality, defect fixes or automation) that form part of a larger solution, in line with team objectives\n\n* Define Test scenarios and Test cases to ensure quality of the teams deliverables\n\n* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers in daily Scrum meetings.\n\n\n\n\nExperience and Skills\n\n\n* BS in Computer Science or equivalent\n\n* 7+ years of JAVA, API, JavaScript, Angular JS, Java Web Services, UI Skills, Json.\n\n* Experience using and creating RESTful APIs.\n\n* Experience with the following technologies (recommended);\n \n - MongoDB\n - Redis\n\n* Experience/knowledge with CI/CD\n\n* Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies\n\n* Excellent attention to detail\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n\n\n\nEssential\n\n\n* Design and write high quality code\n\n* Evaluation of code and design quality\n\n* Understands how products and technologies interface with each other and fit with the strategy and business needs\n\n* Evaluation of technical and functional specifications and their cohesion\n\n* Negotiation\n\n* Technical problem solving\n\n* Effective communication with different types of audience\n\n* Risks Assessment and Mitigation\n\n* Coaching and training\n\n* Team Working\n\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\nIn most cases, the compensation package includes:\n\n\n* Medical insurance\n\n* Dental insurance\n\n* Vision insurance\n\n* Life insurance\n\n* Long-term disability insurance\n\n* 401k plan\n\n* Vacation time\n\n* Gym membership compensation\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
