Incumbents in this position must have significant technical skills and the ability to apply those skills towards real, workable solutions in nCino for a dynamic business environment. Under the general direction of the IT leadership team and enterprise architect, this position is responsible to advises junior staff members in the group and is expected to plan and organize the group's workload, priorities and project deliverables. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this role you'll have the opportunity to:\n* Maintain, install, tune, upgrade, and troubleshoot technical components and sub systems relevant to supported business applications. Develop code, scripts, systems, tools, or other solutions to reduce operational burden by automating complex and repetitive tasks.\n* Develop monitoring and maintenance strategies to ensure availability and performance standard are being met. Monitor and continually review existing applications systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations. Enhance existing tools, develop scalable tools that reduce manual intervention, enhance prevention, detection, and mitigation of service impacts.\n* Perform evaluation of new application systems and partner with leaders across the organization to research and recommend solutions which balance business needs and risk mitigation. Assess architecture and current hardware limitations, define and design system specifications, and evaluate input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.\n* Lead the planning for and supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Collaborate across engineering to drive operational health improvements, root cause analysis, post-incident discussions, and their associated remediation's that serve to improve reliability and scale operations.\n* Develop and manage relations with external partners and application vendors including installation and repair of services. Maintain service contracts and licensing; effectively negotiate with outside parties; escalate issues as needed.\n* Analyze and determine systems integration needs and requirements. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Defines system support requirements to include monitoring, capacity, staffing and patching/updating. Develop and maintain appropriate applications documentation, including current design and operation.\n* Drive continuous improvement of system automation and system integration of business processes. Remain current on new technologies, methods, and procedure. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology tools and techniques to support and improve application resiliency, business processes and operation functions.\n* Identify risks to system integrity (security threats, DR incidents, data corruption), develop policies, determine appropriate precautions, create measurable standards, document procedures, implement changes, and perform ongoing maintenance to ensure business continuity during unplanned events.\n\n\n\nPosition Requirements\n* Bachelor's Degree: IT, Computer Science, or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) \n* Administrator certifications related to Salesforce highly preferred\n* 8 or more years of IT experience in the banking, finance, or insurance industry. Substantial exposure in application systems administration with a focus on enterprise-level software application platform required \n* Experience implementing new nCino products onto the Salesforce platform required\n* Must reside in one of the following states: WA, CA, OR, ID, MT, NV, CO, UT, or AZ\n\n\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n* Proven experience with complex system planning, configuration, and implementation. Knowledge of Core banking processing technologies, enterprise applications integration, and business process automation tools and best practices. \n* Demonstrate strong technical expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications in a complex IT environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting performance issues and root causes. Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies. \n* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of compute environments, such as server hardware, storage, and virtualization. Skill in scripting language technology, such as PowerShell, Python or T-SQL. Good understanding in data mapping, system conversions, and system integration. Experience with Cloud technologies, such as Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and or Amazon Web Services. \n* Ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers. Able to convey appropriate level of detail effectively to all levels of the organization including non-technical staff and leadership. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and discretion. \n* Possess a high degree of initiative and motivation. Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM governance concepts. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to author policies, document risks, and propose solutions to IT management and senior leadership. \n* Knowledge of commonly used financial industry concepts, practices and guidelines. • Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications

Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship –Africa Region
The Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship – Africa Region is a collaboration between Certara, Pharmacometrics Africa, CP+ Associates, together with several pharma industry and academic partners, to provide an intensive fellowship program for talented and motivated doctoral level scientists from Africa.
The program has 2 components:
Virtual Program – A 3-month virtual program (Q1 2023) that will provide fellows with exposure to leading edge pharmacometric model based analysis. The time commitment will be significant (e.g. a minimum of 20 hours per week over the duration of the Virtual Program.
Immersion Program – Upon completion of the Virtual Program, fellows will have the option to extend the program for another 3 months to an project-based program led by Certara and partners from pharma and academia. The program is designed to foster professional development through immersive training on all competencies required for regulatory quality pharmacometrics analyses and reports. Guided by industry mentors, the fellows will receive class-room training, are assigned individual jointly-agreed upon, precompetitive projects and participate in a leadership development program designed to enhance their decision-making and communication skills.
The Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship – Africa Region aims to build scientific and leadership capability in Africa by enhancing the skills of local scientists and by facilitating knowledge transfer to their wider scientific communities. The relationships forged between the hosts of this program and the fellows' home institutions will further the endeavour to create next-generation medicines to ease suffering and improve quality of life for patient populations around the world. Successful participants in this program will be considered as candidates to join the consulting team for Certara located on-site in Africa.

Stipend and health insurance: health insurance and a monthly stipend to cover incidentals and basic living expenses.
Timelines & Location: The 3-month Virtual Program is planned to start in mid-January 2023. The start of the 3-month Immersion Program is planned for 2Q2023.

Eligibility to this program is based on the following criteria:
You have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. pharmaceutical, medical or biological sciences, applied mathematics or statistics)
You have recently completed your PhD or equivalent studies (i.e. early to mid-career)
You should already have done at least 1 clinical pharmacology or pharmacometrics data analysis project using descriptive or a model-based methods
You have evidence of completing relevant courses on model-based analysis methods e.g. Pharmacometrics Africa courses or equivalent
You are a proficient English speaker and based in an African country
You have demonstrated strong team player skills

Monitor performance of key external service providers. Communicate to management service failures and help develop action plans to correct for future shipments. Monitor implementation of process improvements.
Identify, evaluate & implement opportunities to leverage L&P volumes with current service providers utilizing multiple business units.
Coordinate project analysis, bids, etc. for existing business units with existing or potential service providers.
Assist with new service provider set ups through SOP’s and required service provider documents.
Collaborate with Business unit Purchasing & Sales departments and Logistics offices as necessary to meet customer requirements
Develop & Incorporate KPI’s to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement with freight forwarders, ocean carriers against benchmarks and service agreements to improve support for our business units. Report findings along with suggested improvement solutions on a quarterly basis.
Provide feedback updates regarding market details for air, ocean and intra Europe trucking to management & Business Units.
Work with Logistics systems, Accounting & other Logistics offices to ensure visibility & financial data integrity of shipments.
Report cost savings / cost avoidance opportunities to management.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Management, Operations Management, or related field, or suitable combination of education and training
5+ years’ experience in the transportation and logistics industry, including 2+ years in a management role
Analytical and data-driven mindset.
Experience with Microsoft Suite applications.
Excellent organization skills, proven written and verbal communication skills.
You can read, write and speak English fluently.
