We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has at least 6 years experience in backend web development, with at least two of those years working for a startup. You’ll ultimately own several software components, and you’ll participate in product planning and testing.
Tech Stack: Our platform uses the PHP framework Laravel and the Javascript framework Vue tied together with the InertiaJS library for a SPA-like experience without the maintenance overhead. Our platform is backed by a MySQL database and relies on the N8N workflow engine and the RPA framework via Robocorp for out-of-band tasks. All of our servers are hosted on AWS, and our code is hosted on GitHub. Although we're currently a small team, we use modern methodologies, local environments coordinated by Docker, code reviews, continuous integration, etc. for software development.

You love building. You have at least six years of experience as a Software Engineer building scalable web-applications, with at least two of those years working for a startup.

Is that person you?\n\nEssential requirements\n\n\n* Have 2+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining AWS cloud-based infrastructure.\n\n* Have production experience on Docker and Kubernetes, as well as AWS services like EC2, EKS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, IAM, etc.\n\n* Experience with debugging issues, identifying faults, and enhancing logging of software. As well as creating self-healing, autonomous infrastructure, with monitoring and alerting systems.\n\n* Are experienced in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for any kind of task.\n\n* Experience with IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity is preferred, but not required.\n\n* Experienced in writing code in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.\n\n* Works collaboratively across the entire organisation, balancing the needs of various departments with business pragmatism, managing stakeholder expectations, and tracking the various work streams into and out of your team.\n\n* You're transparent, articulate, and driven to succeed.\n\n\n\n\nExperience and capabilities\nWe're more passionate about enthusiastic, fast learners, eager to continuously learn and improve skills, with care and a real passion for people and technology than somebody that can tick every one of these boxes - ideally, you have a mix of many of the following:\n\n\n* Experience with PHP technology stacks, including Laravel and WordPress.\n\n* Used to Git, collaborating with other developers and working with other people's code.\n\n* Knowledge of GitHub Actions, our CI/CD platform.\n\n* Have managed auto-scaling applications and architectures.\n\n\n\n\nFor this role, we are looking for someone who is based in the Asia/Asia Pacific region to work between UTC+6 and UTC+12 timezone. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
