Incumbents in this position must have significant technical skills and the ability to apply those skills towards real, workable solutions in nCino for a dynamic business environment. Under the general direction of the IT leadership team and enterprise architect, this position is responsible to advises junior staff members in the group and is expected to plan and organize the group's workload, priorities and project deliverables. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this role you'll have the opportunity to:\n* Maintain, install, tune, upgrade, and troubleshoot technical components and sub systems relevant to supported business applications. Develop code, scripts, systems, tools, or other solutions to reduce operational burden by automating complex and repetitive tasks.\n* Develop monitoring and maintenance strategies to ensure availability and performance standard are being met. Monitor and continually review existing applications systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations. Enhance existing tools, develop scalable tools that reduce manual intervention, enhance prevention, detection, and mitigation of service impacts.\n* Perform evaluation of new application systems and partner with leaders across the organization to research and recommend solutions which balance business needs and risk mitigation. Assess architecture and current hardware limitations, define and design system specifications, and evaluate input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.\n* Lead the planning for and supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. You will inspire and lead the design system design team, and define the vision and strategy. Your mission is to make a world-class design system that rivals Polaris, Atlassian Design System, Carbon, and Spectrum!\n\n\nThe ideal candidate has a strong background in design, user experience, front-end development, and a proven track record in managing, evolving and maturing design systems. This role requires you to be a systems and platform thinker, and also a strong partner and collaborator to your stakeholders in the Design, Engineering and Product orgs. You will work closely with these partners to ensure our design system improves the lives of our designers, engineers and ultimately our end customers.\n\n\nThis is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.\n\n\n\nWhat we're looking for:\n* 6+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, and Interaction Design. This should include at least 3 years of Design System work\n* You've led the creation of a design system with complex products, cross-functional teams and continually evolving customer needs. You have experience working on a design system that is multi-platform (Web, Mac, Windows, Android and iOS)\n* Proven ability to partner with Design, Engineering and Product to formulate, prioritize and execute against a design systems roadmap\n* Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively understand complex data, insights and problems. Then leverage data and insights to prioritize business and customer needs\n* Ability to plan, design and execute advocacy and socialization programs to drive awareness and adoption of a design system\n* Previous experience defining and measuring the success of a design system\n* A portfolio that demonstrates detailed design thinking and problem-solving for the overall user experience, with an emphasis on design systems\n* Broad knowledge of front-end code, programming languages, and responsive web principles\n* Comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Excel in a fast-paced environment with a lot of context switching. Youโ€™ll have to move quickly and learn fast\n* You are an advocate for inclusive design. This team harnesses satellite technology, machine learning, and big data to shed light on some of the most pressing issues facing the ocean.\n\nWe are now working to map the global footprint of commercial activity at sea, including the activity of all ocean-going vessels and fixed infrastructure. This work involves combining deep learning and data fusion techniques with petabytes of satellite imagery (radar and optical), and billions of GPS positions from vessels, mostly from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Vessel Monitoring Systems.\n\nThe Machine Learning Engineer will assist with large data pipelines of satellite imagery and help build computer vision models to detect and classify maritime objects in imagery data. The initial focus will be on vessel detection in high-resolution (3 m) PlanetScope optical imagery from Planet Labs, leveraging an existing model architecture developed for Sentinel-2. Subsequent work includes implementing new models to expand the detection capability to offshore infrastructure using new satellite imagery sources. The candidate will also collaborate closely with other members of the Research and Innovation team to correlate detected vessels (position, time and length) to vessels tracked by AIS. Finally, the candidate will work closely with the GFW Engineering and Product teams to ensure solutions are compatible and scalable within our cloud infrastructure. \n\nThe incumbent will gain experience working with leading researchers in the field and will interface daily with GFWโ€™s team of data scientists and machine learning experts. They will develop further technical skills in programming, big data, and cloud computing while working for a globally diverse and fully distributed organization. This IVR will extend 12+ levels and should aim to direct and automate inquiries to appropriate resources.\n* Multi-language Chatbot - The IVR and Chatbot should leverage the same framework with the goal of reducing the need for human interaction and increase the reliance on supporting articles and communications.\n* Customer Facing Knowledge Base - Migrate and update existing support microsite to the new interface and/or website. Ensure the micro-site follows a similar flow design as the IVR and chatbot to guide users to their desired resources and properly prioritize content.\n* Infrastructure Evaluation - Create a model for necessary staffing and tools to identify any gaps in flows or staffing that need to be addressed in order to properly manage current support inquiries.\n* Internal Registered Dietitian Support System - Foodsmart Registered Dietitians raise a large number of inquiries while interacting with customers and have operating questions of their own.   • Support 360 activity planning through the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming in collaboration with other functions

Education, Skills & Experience


  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Marketing or related field required

  • Demonstrated application of research/insights and data to make strategic recommendations
  • Experience with development and commercialization of CPG products

About The Opportunity


The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Project responsibilities include; facilitation of customer requirements gathering, design of the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.

Provide Implementation Services to customers:


  • Support the project team in the validation of customer's business requirements and mapping to Ceridian functionality
  • Design and document innovative solutions to solve customersโ€™ business needs
  • Guide the configuration of the Ceridian application to meet customerโ€™s business requirements
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations
  • Lead internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables


Contribute to Internal Implementation Initiatives:


  • Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository
  • Document best practices and share with the Practice
  • Lead the subject matter expert (SME) program in at least one area of expertise (Payroll, Benefits, WFM)

  • Participate in Continuing Education sessions, lead Implementation best practice sessions
