Incumbents in this position must have significant technical skills and the ability to apply those skills towards real, workable solutions in nCino for a dynamic business environment. Under the general direction of the IT leadership team and enterprise architect, this position is responsible to advises junior staff members in the group and is expected to plan and organize the group's workload, priorities and project deliverables. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this role you'll have the opportunity to:\n* Maintain, install, tune, upgrade, and troubleshoot technical components and sub systems relevant to supported business applications. Develop code, scripts, systems, tools, or other solutions to reduce operational burden by automating complex and repetitive tasks.\n* Develop monitoring and maintenance strategies to ensure availability and performance standard are being met. Monitor and continually review existing applications systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations. Enhance existing tools, develop scalable tools that reduce manual intervention, enhance prevention, detection, and mitigation of service impacts.\n* Perform evaluation of new application systems and partner with leaders across the organization to research and recommend solutions which balance business needs and risk mitigation. Assess architecture and current hardware limitations, define and design system specifications, and evaluate input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.\n* Lead the planning for and supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Collaborate across engineering to drive operational health improvements, root cause analysis, post-incident discussions, and their associated remediation's that serve to improve reliability and scale operations.\n* Develop and manage relations with external partners and application vendors including installation and repair of services. Maintain service contracts and licensing; effectively negotiate with outside parties; escalate issues as needed.\n* Analyze and determine systems integration needs and requirements. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Defines system support requirements to include monitoring, capacity, staffing and patching/updating. Develop and maintain appropriate applications documentation, including current design and operation.\n* Drive continuous improvement of system automation and system integration of business processes. Remain current on new technologies, methods, and procedure. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology tools and techniques to support and improve application resiliency, business processes and operation functions.\n* Identify risks to system integrity (security threats, DR incidents, data corruption), develop policies, determine appropriate precautions, create measurable standards, document procedures, implement changes, and perform ongoing maintenance to ensure business continuity during unplanned events.\n\n\n\nPosition Requirements\n* Bachelor's Degree: IT, Computer Science, or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) \n* Administrator certifications related to Salesforce highly preferred\n* 8 or more years of IT experience in the banking, finance, or insurance industry. Substantial exposure in application systems administration with a focus on enterprise-level software application platform required \n* Experience implementing new nCino products onto the Salesforce platform required\n* Must reside in one of the following states: WA, CA, OR, ID, MT, NV, CO, UT, or AZ\n\n\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n* Proven experience with complex system planning, configuration, and implementation. Knowledge of Core banking processing technologies, enterprise applications integration, and business process automation tools and best practices. \n* Demonstrate strong technical expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications in a complex IT environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting performance issues and root causes. Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies. \n* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of compute environments, such as server hardware, storage, and virtualization. Skill in scripting language technology, such as PowerShell, Python or T-SQL. Good understanding in data mapping, system conversions, and system integration. Experience with Cloud technologies, such as Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and or Amazon Web Services. \n* Ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers. Able to convey appropriate level of detail effectively to all levels of the organization including non-technical staff and leadership. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and discretion. \n* Possess a high degree of initiative and motivation. Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM governance concepts. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to author policies, document risks, and propose solutions to IT management and senior leadership. \n* Knowledge of commonly used financial industry concepts, practices and guidelines. We create and publicly share knowledge about human activity at sea to enable fair and sustainable use of our ocean. Founded in 2015 through a collaboration between Oceana, SkyTruth, and Google, GFW became an independent non-profit organization in 2017. Using cutting-edge technology, we create and publicly share map visualizations, data and analysis tools to enable scientific research and drive a transformation in how we manage our ocean. By 2030, we aim to monitor and map all commercial activity at sea, including all industrial fishing vessels, small-scale fishing activity, all large non-fishing vessels, and all fixed infrastructure such as aquaculture and oil rigs. We also plan to work with intergovernmental organizations and 30 governments around the globe to promote the adoption of transparency more widely and publicly share ocean data to drive better management of marine resources.\n\nThe Position\n\nThe Research and Innovation team at Global Fishing Watch (GFW) connects data science and machine learning experts with the scientific community to produce new datasets, publish impactful research, and empower others to use our data. This team harnesses satellite technology, machine learning, and big data to shed light on some of the most pressing issues facing the ocean.\n\nWe are now working to map the global footprint of commercial activity at sea, including the activity of all ocean-going vessels and fixed infrastructure. This work involves combining deep learning and data fusion techniques with petabytes of satellite imagery (radar and optical), and billions of GPS positions from vessels, mostly from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Vessel Monitoring Systems.\n\nThe Machine Learning Engineer will assist with large data pipelines of satellite imagery and help build computer vision models to detect and classify maritime objects in imagery data. The initial focus will be on vessel detection in high-resolution (3 m) PlanetScope optical imagery from Planet Labs, leveraging an existing model architecture developed for Sentinel-2. Subsequent work includes implementing new models to expand the detection capability to offshore infrastructure using new satellite imagery sources. The candidate will also collaborate closely with other members of the Research and Innovation team to correlate detected vessels (position, time and length) to vessels tracked by AIS. Finally, the candidate will work closely with the GFW Engineering and Product teams to ensure solutions are compatible and scalable within our cloud infrastructure. \n\nThe incumbent will gain experience working with leading researchers in the field and will interface daily with GFWโs team of data scientists and machine learning experts. About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience
Masterโs degree or post graduate coursework an asset
10+ years of experience in human capital management applications consulting
5+ years in Consultant role with Ceridian HCM
Solid experience in business process mapping
Experience in change management an asset
Technical Skills Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Internal expert with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience with HRIS
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL and asset
Experience with one or more of the following applications in addition to Ceridian HCM: SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, iChris or Preceda
Ability to effectively implement all Ceridian HCM modules
Expert knowledge of common human capital management (HCM) business practices
Deep understanding of different industries and how Ceridian implement best practices apply to the customerโs business practices
Deep Ceridian product knowledge in at least two Ceridian HCM modules (Payroll, WSS, T&A, Leave etc.), as demonstrated through multiple implementations
Functional Skills Requirements
Excellent customer relationship and business acumen
Demonstrates full competence in business function
Ability to engage with multiple projects & customers at the same time and manage competing priorities
Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills
Ability to lead and facilitate customer and internal workshops and sessions
Ability to mentor junior consultants and guide solution configuration through peer reviews and other QA activities
Acts as role model for Consulting@Ceridian guidelines
Ability to provide implementation scoping and solution guidance in the sales cycle
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills; able to adjust content and presentation style to different audiences
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of organisation
Ability to work within project teams and collaborate cross-departmentally
Ability to communicate effectively with functional and technical resources, Product Management and
Development
Creates formal networks involving coordination across groups
Ability to influence customers to modify current business practices, as required
