Remote Senior Software Engineer
\n\n\n\n\nFathom is on a mission to use AI to understand and structure the world’s medical data, starting by making sense of the terabytes of clinician notes contained within the electronic health records of the world’s largest health systems. Our deep learning engine automates the translation of patient records into the billing codes used for healthcare provider reimbursement, a process today that costs hospitals in the US $15B+ annually and tens of billions more in errors and denied claims. We are a venture-backed company that completed a Series B round of financing for $46M in late 2022.\n \nFathom is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure) based in North America to join our expanding remote team. This opportunity is worth exploring if you are someone who is passionate about intelligent automation and you get excited about being the 10X multiplier on your team. You will be leading the way for us in devops and security. To that end, we are looking for experienced candidates who are comfortable operating with autonomy. We need you to utilize your combination of strong software engineering experience and cloud service mastery savvy to design, deploy, and monitor all operational aspects of our platform.\n \nPlease note that this position requires physical residency in the U.S.\n \n\n\n\nYour role and responsibilities will include:\n\n\n* Working to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Fathom’s platform \n\n* Developing dependable internal tools that aid our machine learning and software engineers more efficient, in everything from infrastructure deployment, to continuous integration and testing\n\n* Maintaining and configuring internal development and access control systems\n\n* Collaborating with our product and engineering teams to identify strategic long-term projects and preempt infrastructure needs in advance\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a teammate with:\n\n\n* 5+ years of software engineering experience in a company/production setting\n\n* Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and systems design\n\n* Experience with building, controlling, and monitoring secure cloud-based platforms\n\n* An ability to define, defend, and drive technical infrastructure decisions and initiatives\n\n* Basic operational familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ability to help pick and implement the right tool for a given job\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nBonus points if you have:\n\n\n* Fluency in Python\n\n* Knowledge of Google Cloud\n\n* Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes and/or Spark\n\n* Familiarity with continuous integration systems like CircleCI or Jenkins and/or continuous delivery systems such as Spinnaker\n\n* Skills in devops in support of machine learning\n\n* Interest in machine learning and/or healthcare\n\n\n\n\n \nCompensation:\n\n\n* Salary: $175,000 USD - $220,000 USD\n\n* Company Equity\n\n\n\n\n \nBenefits:\n\n\n* Unlimited Vacation + Sick Days\n\n* Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage\n\n* 401k\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
