Expectations:ย
Write high-quality, easy-to-read Ruby and Javascript code
Troubleshoot, identify, and fix performance issues and bugs
Perform regular updates of libraries, frameworks, and other technical components
Build end-to-end experiences from user interaction on the front-end, data modeling on the back-end, and performance monitoring
Brainstorm, collaborate, and implement new features, especially in the area of user interface & user experience
Implement features to make your teammatesโ jobs easier, such as creating reports or eliminating repetitive tasks
Communicate clearly and thoughtfullyย about your ideas and the work you are doing
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of experience developing software professionallyย
A deep understanding of Ruby on Rails, typical of someone with about 5 years of experience
Extensive experience with front-end web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with PostgreSQL and comfortable writing SQL queries.
Strong adherence to testing

As a member of the engineering team, you will work with others in design, marketing, and merchandising in order to define and prioritize work. You'll play an integral role in our build, measure, learn feedback loop by running experiments that test our hypotheses.

In your role, you'll need to:
Create, edit, and manage content for a variety of mediums that could include: email, newsletters, blogs, white papers/guides, thought leadership articles, customer case studies, website pages, webinar slide decks, sales collateral, event collateral, and video scripts.
Maintain the master content calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year.
Understand and apply SEO best practices, including formatting (H1 tags, etc.).
Provide meta descriptions with each article draft.
Create content tailored to a specific promotion or business goals.
Provide feedback, suggestions, and strategy for improving client outcomes.
Be a kick-ass teammate, communicator, and collaborator.
Requirements
Must be very fluent in written English.
Problem-solving aptitude.
Analytical mind with business acumen.
Excellent communication skills.
BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Experience working as a part of a remote team where you weren't micro-managed.

About the job
Big picture, you'll be working toward an overarching goal:ย
Work to ensure Booster Apps operates smoothly by implementing our existing playbooks and key processes. Youโll be the lead for the business on a day to day basis, while also liaising with the founder on strategy.
Booster Apps is run using the EOS framework where we currently have a nimble team of 12 awesome team members.
What will you be responsible for?
Oversee day-to-day operations of our existing Booster Apps team to ensure they continue to deliver exceptional experiences.
Run the playbook and pre-built strategy to ensure the business is running smoothly.
Track and take ownership of key metrics and initiatives in the business.
Identify needs for new teammates, then hire for those roles.
Lead a weekly meeting to report on high level business metrics
Maintain a strong culture of customer success that is centered around helping merchants boost their online sales.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) on moving initiatives forward.
Solve problems that arise โ and document solutions.
Who you are
