Job Overview
Prime Design & Build is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to oversee and set up residential remodeling projects across the U.S. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full pre-construction setup, coordinating timelines, managing budgets, handling permitting, and ensuring all necessary inspections are scheduled. After these critical pre-construction phases, the Project Manager will focus on photodocumentation and progress updates to ensure seamless execution and transparency.ย Timeline and budget management are key here and we are looking for someone experienced with greater CRM and PM software tools to make each construction project meet milestone and planification projections.ย
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Setup & Coordination
Develop and implement detailed project checklists to ensure a smooth start for each remodeling project.
Work closely with superintendents to establish realistic project timelines and ensure they are followed.
Coordinate initial site assessments, material orders, and contractor scheduling.
Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before project commencement.
Timeline & Budget Management
Develop project schedules and track progress to ensure timely completion.
Manage project budgets, working with finance teams to ensure costs remain within estimates.
Coordinate inspections and regulatory compliance to avoid project delays.
On-Site Inspections & Quality Control
Oversee project milestones and conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to plans.
Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve any on-site challenges.
Conduct pre-inspection walkthroughs to ensure work meets quality and safety standards before official inspections.
Documentation & Progress Tracking
Maintain detailed records of project progress, change orders, and site conditions.
Provide consistent photodocumentation of all phases of the project.
Deliver regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency in project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Experience in project management within the residential remodeling or construction industry.
Education: Open, but preferably aย Bachelorโs degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software, scheduling tools, and budgeting processes.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements.
Strong Communication: Ability to coordinate with teams, vendors, and clients effectively.
Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing multiple projects while ensuring every detail is accounted for in pre-construction and execution.
Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making skills to address unforeseen challenges efficiently.
