Roles and Responsibilities\n • Assess on-premises database environments such as Oracle or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or RedShift, DynamoDB.\n • Oracle DB migration consulting with reduced TCO, HA, Agility, Security and Cloud adoption mindset\n • Engage with customers to develop an approach to migrate complex, on-premise landscapes to the cloud\n • Engage with customers to model and design their current state architecture, target state architecture, and transition architecture\n • Respond to detailed client and prospect proposals \n • Develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects to migrate Applications from Oracle databases to Oracle RDS, Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or other Open Source platforms.\n • Collaborate with application developers and database administrators on projects and perform database code conversion like procedures, functions, and packages from one DB engine to another.\n • Develop and manage Database stored procedures, functions and batch programs\n • Perform database assessment, data mappings and migration using AWS SCT and DMS, Azure DMA and DMS and execute data assessment and migration projects.\n • Implementation and performance tuning experience of databases, including knowledge of schema design, query tuning and optimisation and integration\n • Create standard delivery artefacts (migration document, architecture diagrams, run books, backup/recovery plans, etc.) for migration and modernisation of databases\n • Perform homogenous and heterogenous DB migrations from on-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud\n • Use replication and data movement techniques. \n • Knowledge of Oracle Native methodologies for DB migration \n • Experience with tools like SCT, Fleet Advisor, and Database Migration Service (DMS)\n • Experience with Azure Data Migration Assistant (DMA), Azure DMS, SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA), Azure Synapse pathway \n\n Technical Expertise\n • 5 or more years of experience in Oracle database administration/development/modernisation\n • DBA experience on Oracle 19c/18c/12c on Linux & Windows on AWS\n • Demonstrate technical expertise in Oracle Apps system administration, including backup and recovery, database tuning and health checks, system installation, HA/DR, and security.\n • Strong experience in VM Infrastructure for running Oracle DB\n • Strong experience in Streams, Oracle RAC and Dataguard solution on-premises and on AWS cloud\n • Experience with Oracle migrations, upgrades, and high availability architectures.\n • Strong practical experience in Oracle DB performance tuning and database management\n • Strong experience in the database schema, code conversion, data migrating database environments from one platform to another\n • Strong experience in creating, testing and deploying new databases and performing data and DB code conversion across commercial (Oracle/MS SQL), open-source and cloud-native database engines\n • Strong skills, including writing Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Packages and User-defined functions.\n\n Good to Have\n • Executed at least 2 modernisation programs on heterogeneous DB migrations\n • Completed at least 2 sizeable (1- 10 TB) homogenous DB migrations\n • Strong experience with application/database re-platforming across operating systems and database engines\n • Knowledge of third-party Oracle solutions like Flashgrid\n • Strong experience in migration to cloud-native databases. e.g., AWS RDS,
