Our stack (some parts of it anyway): AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Argo Events, GitHub Actions, Kustomize, Helm, Packer, Kafka, Clickhouse, RoR, GO, etc.\n\nIf you are seeking a real challenge involving mission-critical tasks, multi-geographic region deployments, diverse managed services, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, this might be the perfect position for you! \n\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the following\n\n\n* \n\nCloud-Native CI/CD Development: Participate in building a modern, cloud-native, scalable, flexible, and extensible CI/CD solution for the entire Workato application ecosystem, focusing on optimized cost, health, stability, minimal build time, security, and compliance, with a reduced on-boarding time.\n\n\n* \n\nAutomation Improvements: Identify and drive opportunities to enhance automation for code integration, quality testing, security scanning, and deployment.\n\n\n* \n\nCI/CD Solution Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the current CI/CD solution for Workato applications, emphasizing health, stability, and minimal build time, following a GitOps-like approach.\n\n\n* \n\nPipeline Implementation: Implement pipelines to automate security, reliability, and availability best practices at all stages of the software lifecycle.\n\n\n* \n\nComplex Deployment Scenarios: Implement complex deployment scenarios, including dynamic environments, progressive rollouts such as canary deployments, and chaos engineering.\n\n\n* \n\nLoad Testing Infrastructure: Create and manage infrastructure for automating load test scenarios and streamlining their execution to catch performance regressions before production.\n\n\n* \n\nEngineering Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to address needs, enable more effective and efficient developer throughput, and improve services through rigorous testing and release processes.\n\n\n* \n\nOn-boarding to CI/CD Platform: On-board Workato components and applications to the CI/CD platform.\n\n\n* \n\nMetrics Analysis: Gather and analyze metrics from CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure to assist in performance tuning and stability improvements.\n\n\n* \n\nSystem Design and Architecture: Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and architecture reviews.\n\n\n* \n\nDocumentation and Best Practices: Document development processes and best practices.\n\n\n* Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.\n\n\n\nRequirements\nQualifications / Experience / Technical Skills\n\n\n* \n\n7+ years professional experience in hands-on engineering roles (DevOps/SRE), BS or MS in the CS field (or equivalent experience).\n\n\n* Kubernetes Expertise: Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads, specifically using EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).\n\n\n\n* Programming Skills: Proficiency in Go language is essential. Ability to program in other languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript is a plus.\n\n\n\n* CI/CD Tools: Experience creating scalable development and integration pipelines using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, GitLab CI, or similar solutions.\n\n\n\n* Kubernetes Deployments: Expertise in deploying Kubernetes-based services using tools like Kustomize, Helm, ArgoCD, or similar, following a GitOps approach.\n\n\n\n* Cloud Architectures: Hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).\n\n\n\n* Networking and Web Services: Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and web services architecture.\n\n\n\n* Infrastructure as Code: Experience managing complex infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, VPC networking, and security policies, using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.\n\n\n\n* Containerization: Hands-on experience with containers, including creating and optimizing Dockerfiles, using docker-compose, and a deep understanding of related technologies (kernel features, container networking, image structure, and registry).\n\n\n\n* Software Packaging and Testing: Familiarity with software packaging tools, functional testing, security validation tools and services, and code coverage tools.\n\n\n\n* Compliance and Security: Operating Kubernetes clusters in compliance-regulated environments and understanding kernel-level container technologies such as seccomp, namespaces, and cgroups.\n\n\n\n* Security Regulations and Compliance: Experience with cloud and infrastructure security regulations and compliance programs, including SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.\n\n\n\nSoft Skills / Personal Characteristics\n\n\n* \n\nGood communication and collaboration skills in international technological companies\n\n\n* \n\nReadiness to work remotely with teams distributed across the world and timezones\n\n\n* \n\nGood Spoken English to participate in product-related, architectural and technical discussions\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
