This position focuses on managing the macOS, Linux, and SaaS infrastructure backbone of VentureWell in addition to managing IT support escalations. How you will help\nHealthVerity is seeking a Director of Engineering to manage the Platform Operations teams responsible for infrastructure components and services across the entire engineering organization. Working closely with the software engineering organization, you will shape the implementation of our internal platform to empower our engineers to work most effectively. You will manage strategy, hiring and execution across the Platform Operations group.\n\nWhat you will do\n• Hire and recruit successful candidates\n• Create goals for the team that align with broader organizational direction\n• Guide and advise teams through career development paths\n• Define measures of success for projects and teams\n• Evaluate and integrate cloud services and tools\n• Develop, document, and implement migration plans for continuous improvement of existing products and services\n• Implement and maintain operational environments according to security policies\n\nAbout You\n• Makes security a priority in everything you do\n• Data-driven; testing and measuring every step\n• Expert at monitoring and measuring systems and identifying bottlenecks\n• Delegates tasks effectively\n• Understands how to effectively leverage cloud technologies\n• Evaluates new platforms and services for the team to leverage\n• Works effectively with project managers to follow projects to completion \n\nDesired Skills and Experience\n• 7+ years of experience with AWS\n• 5+ years of experience with team management, preferably hybrid\n• Familiarity with strict security compliance programs such as FedRAMP, HITRUST, etc.\n• Seasoned experience with DevOps practices\n• Background with Infrastructure and Configuration as Code development\n• Ability to lead incident management and disaster recovery events\n\nAbout HealthVerity\nPharmaceutical manufacturers, payers and government organizations have partnered with HealthVerity to solve some of their most complicated use cases through transformative technologies and real-world data infrastructure.
