How do you apply?

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply. Work for Likvido and want to re-open this job? Use the edit link in the email when you posted the job!
Hello, Future Innovator! Ready to take your career to the next level as a Full Stack .NET Developer at Likvido?
And yes, the role is fully remote so you can do your job wherever you want; from the beach, the pyramids, even from the moon if you like (well, of course, you need to have an internet connection but with Starlink working in 2023, no probs, right?).
Likvido is a small and agile company, recently acquired by the industry-leading giant, Visma. This means you get the best of both worlds: the dynamic and innovative environment of a startup, coupled with the stability and resources of a well-established company that would make your parents proud. As you can tell from this job ad, we're not your typical corporate setupโno conventional HR manager would approve this ad. But rest assured, we're incredibly ambitious and excited about our journey ahead.
We have a lot of ownership over how we structure our day-to-day, and at the same time, we can take advantage of many services that Visma provides, like knowledge sharing and guidance on MANY topics. Visma also organizes talks from industry leaders on various topics, which are free to join.
We are now looking for a skilled full-stack .NET developer who can impact our products and become a part of our (fully!) remote tech Likvido family.
Letโs be polite and introduce ourselves first - so who are we and what are we doing?
Let's face it: accounting sucks. Entering data into a stupid system? Sending invoices? Trying to get the last decimals to match so your auditor doesnโt scream at you?
We would prefer spending time with family or friends. The same goes for our customers.
At Likvido we are automating accounting for our customers. We do this by having a super awesome product that helps you:
Send โsmart invoicesโ that reconcile themselvesย
Send automatic reminders for invoices that go unpaid
Get paid if an invoice has not been paid on time through our debt collection system
So to summarize what Likvido is doing: We are letting you focus on what matters, instead of spending time on boring administrative work.
Tech stack
Frontend: VueJS with custom styling built with Sass
Backend: .NET 7, C#, ASP.NET MVC (legacy weโre trying to murder)
Infrastructure: Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), App Service (legacy weโre trying to murder)
Data Storage: SQL Server, Azure Blobs
DevOps: GitHub Actions for CI/CD
Our main application is a web application, where our customers can interact with the product. This web application consists of a VueJS frontend and an API - using the Backend For Frontend (BFF) approach. This means we are evolving the front end and API in a symbiosis, where the API requests are tailored to the exact use cases of the front end. The styling of the front end is a custom-made look built with Sass and designed in cooperation with Studio Skulptur: https://www.studioskulptur.com/likvido. The API is running on .NET 7 and written in C#, but we also have a legacy ASP.NET MVC application running on the old .NET framework - which we are in the process of getting rid of.
We run all of our services in Microsoft Azure. The most recent services are running on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services), and the legacy services are running on App Service. Our goal is to move everything to AKS. All of our source code is hosted on Github and we use Github Actions to deploy our services to AKS. We deploy to production at least once per day.
We use SQL Server and Azure Blobs for our data storage needs. We might introduce MongoDB or CosmosDB for specific use cases, as we are generally very open to adopting new technologies, whenever they provide some nice improvements over our current stack.ย
Our general architecture is to build bounded contexts, with a number of services and databases inside each context. The services are small and scalable, and we use queues, event grids, and HTTP APIs for communicating between services.
We expect you to participate in the whole product workflow - from idea to production. You will help build new features, do code reviews, make releases, and make sure your features work and continue to work in production. You will also help us push forward our technical stack and infrastructure, to improve the performance, availability, and scalability of our products.
Responsibilities
Being a Full Stack Developer at Likvido, your job is to improve our product and build great technical solutions!
Day-to-day that means:
Implement new features (C# + JavaScript)
Help maintain our current products
Actively participate in team meetings, discussing product feature improvements as well as technical issues and improvements
Make code reviews and be responsible for the features you build
Help push forward our platform and codebase, to make sure it is easy to maintain and performs well
You will also participate in the development process like your other colleagues, which means maintaining the current codebase, adding new features, doing code reviews, etc. This environment provides a lot of freedom for you to take control and ownership for your work, and let your creativity unfold.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who can say โYES!โ to the following:
I am a senior full-stack developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
I put great pride in my work, and I like to solve challenging problems in ways that will make maintenance easy.
I enjoy following the technology trends and consider how they can be used to solve the problems we face.
I have strong opinions, but I understand and respect the opinions of others as well, and I will seek to resolve conflicts in a productive manner.
I have multiple years of experience with
C#
Modern .NET stack (.Net Core, .NET 7)
JavaScript (VueJS and TypeScript is a bonus)
Git
MSSQL
So without further ado: If you consider yourself a top full-stack developer, and feel like having a very ambitious role is the next step in your career - APPLY!
Practicalities
You will work 100% remotely along with our existing team
We work within CET office hours but are flexible to accommodate other schedules
We plan to meet physically once or twice per year, so you should be in a place where going to Copenhagen is easy
We pay a good salary
We expect you to be fluent in Englishย
The position is full-time
Your manager will be operating from Denmark

(ยฃ70k, with 2% company ownership vested over 3 years)\n\nWeโre seeking a Senior Unity Developer to join our small games startup with generous share options to help shape the company. This is an exciting opportunity to be a big fish in a small pond; involved at the beginning of a game studio and also shaping the flagship game title and development practices.\n\nDeveloping is not a factory process in our eyes. Youโll be a major part of the game design and proactive with presenting technology as an enabler to perhaps a cool mechanic or new feature. We believe engineers are also creatives and should/love to get involved in the creative process too. \n\nBeing in a small team and start up environment, youโll have experience coding across a range of disciplines and will be asked to draw upon this frequently. Youโll also need to be able to be pragmatic and help fill the gaps on loosely defined tasks and provide solutions to โgrey areasโ\n\n**Ideally youโll**\n* Really care about the playing experience and smoothness controlling characters\n* Really care about the code quality and separation of concerns but at the same time understand the balance of over engineering for tomorrow vs delivery for today\n* Be a positive energy, optimistic and willing to help/guide those with less experience\n* Be resourceful. Look for good shortcuts without compromising the game. Able to quickly identity the need of any Unity * Assets and evaluate them quickly\n* Be able to sometimes provide diagrams or low level design on a workflow if it needs fleshing out some more\n\n**Essentials**\n* At least 5 years of experience developing with the Unity game engines with at least 3 major 3D titles including PC\n* Strong C# and testing experience using Editor/Test Runner\n* Related software development degree\n* Experience making a game mod-able\n* Strong AI understanding\n* Proficiency with dynamic terrains, voxels, construction/build systems (think Survival genre) and physics systems\n\n**Desirables**\n* VFX\n* Animation\n* Experience with Tower Defence and Real-time Strategy games\n* Weather systems\n\nBasement Games is offering a competitive salary with stock options. We understand the value of our team and will proactively review and reward based on performance of both the individual and the company's success. This is the chance to be in at the beginning, be instrumental to the success and rapidly develop your career path. \n\nPlease mention the words **CATCH DEVOTE SOCK** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMy4yMi40Mi4yNDk=). When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site.
