Our backend tech stack currently consists primarily of Python Flask web apps with our TaskTiger scheduler handling many of the backend asynchronous task processing chores. Our data stores include MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like EKS, MSK, RDS and ElasticCache and non-managed services running on EC2 instances. About the role:
As a small team, we are all generalists and constantly picking up new challenges. Regarding product and code, weโre looking to work with experienced people who can pick a problem and solve it. We use TypeScript and want to build more scalable systems so we can continuously make progress on a solid foundation. We donโt expect you to have a background in everything we use but expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and a background working with Angular and TypeScript. Every feature that is being ideated will go through you, and every future front-end engineer hire will live the engineering values that you will shape with us and live by. Weโre looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has at least 6 years experience in backend web development, with at least two of those years working for a startup. Youโll ultimately own several software components, and youโll participate in product planning and testing.ย
Tech Stack: Our platform uses the PHP framework Laravel and the Javascript framework Vue tied together with the InertiaJS library for a SPA-like experience without the maintenance overhead. Our platform is backed by a MySQL database and relies on the N8N workflow engine and the RPA framework via Robocorp for out-of-band tasks. All of our servers are hosted on AWS, and our code is hosted on GitHub. Although we're currently a small team, we use modern methodologies, local environments coordinated by Docker, code reviews, continuous integration, etc. for software development.ย
