CloudDevs is helping world-class, venture-backed startups find talented JS/typescript developers. You will be employed directly by one of these startups and play an integral role in their early stage growth.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of work experience as a software engineer or relevant experience
Strong and confident communicator in English
Strong problem solver
Comfortable with collaboration and open communication across distributed teams
Preferred qualifications:
Proven track record of shipping software and successfully released apps (please include names and links on your resume)
5+ yrs of commercial experience using React or Vue or any JS framework on the front-end and a major framework like Rails/django/go/elixir/java/flask/NodeJS on the backend.
Strong technical design and development skills
Experience with Continuous Integration
Proven work experience inside of a distributed team, in a remote environment
Strong attention to detail on every line of code, every unit test, and every commit message
Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules

\nAbout us:\nOur mission is to use software and analytics to bring transparency to the opaque world of jewelry, a $80b and growing market.\nWe acquired the domain name (Ice.com) a year ago (it is unrelated to the previous company). We also don't take any inventory because we're a marketplace - which means our capital goes towards building IP and acquiring/retaining users. \nA few reasons why you should be interested in this opportunity:\n* The jewelry industry is a fragmented, $80B market (in the US alone), growing at 5%+ annually, that software has yet to disrupt. \n* You will be joining an awesome team led by Brandon Proctor (founding CMO of one of the largest e-commerce retailers, Build.com) and Justin Yoshimura (3x exits). \n* We are extremely data driven and technology/software is in our DNA. You won't be a second class citizen here, guaranteed. \n* We don't have time for assholes or politics. \n* Competitive compensation package including stock options in a high growth VC backed start-up (Crosslink, Maveron, Khosla, Quest, Polaris). \n* Small (17 person) and agile team. \n\n\nWhat we'd like to see:\n* True, full-stack engineers with 2+ years of production experience in Python/Django or Node.js strongly preferred.\n* Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, databases, software design and dev ops.\n* Work experience with relational databases and SQL.\n* Experience with agile development process in collaborative environment.\n* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics OR 4 years of relevant work experience.\n* Good understanding of performance tradeoffs.\n\n\nBonus Points:\n* We are currently using Magento, an open source e-commerce platform built in Zend PHP - yuck), but we are building a new, badass e-commerce platform in Django, Angular.js, Node.js and integrating it with Netsuite's order management tools (no need to re-invent the entire wheel, after all).
