CAI is seeking an AWS Lead who will work remote during the pandemic.\n\n* The AWS Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, and technology integration, of all customer-facing web-based projects.\n\n* This role will lead technology teams across all stages of Agile delivery while collaborating with the Applications team, Mobile App team, and Marketing. \n\n* Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly desired for this role.\n\n* There is no direct reports, but will guide different technology teams.\n\n* Our client has locations in Dearborn, MI; Chicago, IL; and Charlotte, NC. \n\n* Due to our end Client, candidates must be hirable without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.\n\n\n\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n\n* Lead web-based initiatives on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, and Java Set technical direction for development team, lead the release of core products, and work with team to maintain knowledge management system for development tools and software documentation\n\n* Proactively assess current processes, identify technology improvements, and develop solutions that meet the short and long term goals of the organization\n\n* Supervise technical expertise of in-house and external resources Coordinate activities with third party technology partners.\n\n* Interact with the Customer Experience and Marketing teams Support our client's lines of business\n\n* Estimate time frames, quality, and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project\n\n* Troubleshoot functional application issues to determine root cause Independently handle personnel issues, conflict management, define goals that increase knowledge and skills of team, and define team’s expectations\n\n* No direct reports, but will guide different technology teams\n\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\nExperience/Education Required Skills\n\n\n* Required Hands on experience with emerging presentation layer frameworks and patterns such ReactJS, Backbone, AngulaJS, or similar Javascript libraries to design responsive user interfaces REST service development and methodologies\n\n* Understanding the software development lifecycle in Agile and/or DevOps Strong familiarity with source code control systems (Subversion, GIT)\n\n* Strong familiarity with common design patterns used in web applications Background in web application development using enterprise grade technologies and frameworks Knowledge of profiling techniques, memory management and performance tuning utilized to result in elegant and fast-loading web experiences Ability to enforce practices like test-driven development, Continuous Integration, and Test Automation Understanding of common web application security best practices Ability to communicate value propositions\n\n* Ability to convert business requirements into detailed systems design and technical specifications\n\n* Strong-communication and conflict resolution skills\n\n* High level of self-motivation and initiative\n\n* Ability to prioritize multiple work streams and responsibilities simultaneously\n\n* 5+ years' hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services\n\n* 5+ years' hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, CSS and HTML including cross-browser compatibility\n\n* Experience leading eCommerce platform integrations with various internal and external systems/services\n\n* Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly desire\n\n* Education Required A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or in the alternative a combination of education, certifications and work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\n\n\n\n\n Physical Demands\n\n\n* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards\n\n* Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.\n\n* Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor If you are interested in this position\n\n* Please apply using the "Apply " option. Running a platform with multiple white-labeled front-ends that maintains real-time connections into tens of thousands of restaurants’ POS systems, and coordinates complex transactions between these and other third parties (such as payment gateways and gift card providers) is not for the faint of heart!\n\nAs a senior member of Olo’s Engineering leadership team you will play a significant and visible role in helping us scale one of the most advanced food ordering platforms in the market. Several of our Engineering Managers will report directly to you, and you will support them and their team’s efforts to design, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services. You'll work with a smart, passionate team dedicated to delivering amazing products using modern tools and technologies. Our stack includes C#, F#, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Ember, Redis, ElasticSearch, Datadog, SumoLogic, Cloudflare, and a number of AWS services that include Redshift, SQS, S3, and Kinesis Firehose.\n\nThis position reports to our SVP of Engineering. You can work at Olo’s headquarters in New York City’s Financial District or remotely from anywhere in the U.S. In fact, more than two-thirds of our engineering team is remote.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Provide technical and organizational leadership to the team.\n\n* Inspire and manage your team with a strong focus on talent management.\n\n* Help instill a culture of engineering excellence that thrives on project completion and continual improvement.\n\n* Ensure absolute focus on delivery and accountability across the team.\n\n* Collaborate with the CTO and SVP of Engineering and all members of the executive team to translate the business priorities of the company into technical agenda.\n\n* Establish and maintain a high engineering bar with rigorous, yet agile development.\n\n* Lead and assist with the recruitment of highly motivated and driven technology talent.\n\n* Be responsible for leading design and implementation of new features and iterations of our core platform.\n\n* Coach engineering managers to be effective engineering leaders in their own right. Guide them in the success and development of their employees.\n\n* Partner with our Product team to help set the vision and strategy for your areas of product development responsibility.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* BS in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n* 15 years of Software Engineering experience.\n\n* 7+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience - managing multiple teams and/or locations.\n\n* Experience building products in a modern distributed web architecture under an agile process framework.\n\n* Experience managing a distributed engineering team.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to set and drive “big picture” strategy while also being capable of providing detailed technical and process guidance to the team.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to contribute to architecture/design discussions and make well-reasoned technical decisions.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to create a strong culture of collaboration and partnership with cross-functional peers.\n\n* Advanced understanding of cloud based development methodologies and state of the art design patterns.\n\n* Understanding of, and experience in, building highly scalable, highly available systems.\n\n* Strong people management skills, proven success in recruiting, creating and motivating a strong performing engineering team.\n\n* Legal right to work in the U.S.\n\n\n\n\nBeneficial\n\n\n* Experience in full stack product development that spans system architecture, infrastructure, user experience and quality.\n\n* Experience growing nascent products with a high rate of iteration.\n\n* Working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.\n\n\n\n\nAbout Olo\n\nOlo is the on-demand interface for the restaurant industry, powering digital ordering and delivery for over 200 restaurant brands.
