If you’re up for a challenge, then we’d love to hear from you.\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\n\n\n* Work alongside web development team to support transition and operation of its client web sites / applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS)\n\n* Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on Azure or AWS\n\n* Selecting the appropriate Azure or AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements\n\n* Identifying appropriate use of Azure and AWS operational best practices\n\n* Estimating Azure and AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms\n\n* Responsible for system updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing end user support\n\n* Provide production support and management for client cloud servers and environments\n\n* Develop scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment, and system and application management\n\n* Liaise with 3rd party software and hardware vendors to manage and resolve incidents and technical issues\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Need:\n\n\n* A genuine passion for technology\n\n* Ability to multitask and excellent time management skills\n\n* A desire to learn and grow technical knowledge\n\n* 7+ years’ experience in a Cloud Administration, System Admin, Network Engineer and/or similar role\n\n* Experience working closely with internal team and clients to understand the process of designing and implementing enterprise-class solutions based on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security, and recoverability\n\n* Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)\n\n* Experience with DNS\n\n* Understanding of SQL / MySQL / NoSQL\n\n\n\n\nWhat We’d Like To Find:\n\n\n* Experience working in an agency environment\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer or electronics engineering, information technology or related\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to InfoSec, Executive, Amazon, Cloud, Microsoft and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $75,000 — $120,000/year\n

This is the perfect role for a technical leader who wants the high visibility of driving adoption\n\nSo, where will you focus your energy? \n\nDelivery\n\n\n* Drive customer satisfaction (DevOps + external) by providing world-class application availability and protection of customer data\n\n* Direct the team to perform system setup, system administration, incident resolution, problem management, configuration management, change management, security monitoring, security management, capacity planning, availability management and disaster recovery\n\n* Establish performance monitoring and response processes\n\n* Ensure efficiency and predictability of deployments and upgrades\n\n* Roll out and enforce best-in-class security practices for greater customer success\n\n\n\n\nProcess\n\n\n* Assess and refine our Agile/SCRUM process by collaborating with Product Management, Sales and Support\n\n* Understand and improve our existing operations and planning processes to elevate the output and quality of our operations team\n\n\n\n\nDirection\n\n\n* Direct and develop our operational resources by prioritizing and delegating across multiple projects and initiatives\n\n* Optimize resource efficiency and help technical leads and team leads continuously make better tradeoffs\n\n* Create a security roadmap for an organization with enterprise grade customers\n\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\nTechnical\n\n\n* Understand the technical decisions that are being made by your operations team and synthesize  their decisions into  your decision-making process\n\n* Leverage your technical leadership to refine Product Management’s 6-month roadmap into tangible, and technically practical deliverables \n\n* Seek out meaningful certifications and security measures to increase our customers confidence in the delivery of our SaaS solution \n\n* Adopt a CI/CD mindset that is more advanced (and more beneficial) than our current DevOps mentality to accelerate deployments, reduce cost of ownership, and maintain quality\n\n* Understand and simplify the complexities of maintaining both on-premise installations as well as SaaS installation of the same technology stack\n\n\n\n\nTeam\n\n\n* Understand the skills and capacity of your team and how to best utilize them to achieve our goals \n\n* Identify and employ data to empower your team’s continuous improvement\n\n* Develop career paths for your engineers and provide opportunities and feedback that will help them pursue those paths\n\n\n\n\nOrganizational\n\n\n* Analyze departmental spending and collaborate with Product Management to capture ROI; evangelize findings to senior leadership\n\n* Coordinate cross-functional dependencies with a 360° leader mentality (i.e., an ability to influence up, down and laterally across the organization)  \n\n* Understand the tradeoffs and impact of decisions at the resource, technical and product level\n\n\n\n\nRequired Experience\n\n\n* 5+ years of experience managing cloud operations experience with and strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud platforms\n\n* 2+ years of experience managing a team of at least 5 engineers \n\n* 2+ years as an operations engineer yourself\n\n* 3+ years of CI/CD experience\n\n* 1+ years of experience working in an agile development environment\n\n* Expertise in cloud security compliance, including experience with security audits\n\n* Experience hosting 300+ customers in the cloud; enterprise customers highly preferred\n\n* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both technical and business people in terms that they understand\n\n\n\n\nEMS Software is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
