๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.

DeSci Labs is an open-source software startup with strong R&D capabilities, dedicated to building infrastructure and innovative products for scientific communication. Backed by $6.5M in funding from leading investors, our mission is to revolutionize the way science is published, validated, curated, and exchanged. We believe in openness, fairness, and truth-seeking.
What We're Building
Our products are designed to accelerate scientific progress by addressing the current systemโs shortcomings. We create tools that recognize and reward high-quality science, fostering an environment where the scientific community can thrive through genuine innovation and rigorous research.
Our first application is Nodes, an interactive online platform that lets researchers create, validate, and curate research objects. Research objects are versionable publications that contain a broad range of components such as manuscripts, data, code, and all other files and objects related to scientific research. We will import over 50 million open-access research articles into the Nodes platform this summer, which requires the development of powerful search, browse, sort, and filter functionalities. Nodes will also gain AI capabilities, social features, and unique metrics that require thoughtful product design. Furthermore, Nodes will evolve into a publication platform that enables research-owned scientific journals and communities without paywalls or author publication charges.
We are also developing CODEX (for โCollaborative Data Exchangeโ). This open scholarly infrastructure protocol aims to weave the truly persistent fabric of the scientific record, where publications and their artifacts can be addressed with high granularity in a participatory open-state repository.
These products will be combined with an incentive layer that rewards communities, journals, and referees for high-quality validation and curation services around scholarly content.
Culture
We value a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere. As a young startup, we support and encourage professional growth: We always find opportunities to expand our skill sets and take on new responsibilities.
We offer flexible remote work arrangements, but we recognize the value of face-to-face interaction for strengthening cohesiveness and creativity in our team. Thatโs why we offer office space in Amsterdam and bring the full team together at least once a year in inspiring locations. We are an equal-opportunity employer. Join us in shaping our dynamic and innovative company culture.

Remote Machine learning engineer for large scale ML project
**Promising drone-delivery startup is hiring a Dataset and Machine Learning Manager to work remotely. OneSec is working on a groundbreaking GPT-scale machine learning project to make autonomous delivery drones. In this job, you will build the Datasets and Neural Networks that fly our autonomous delivery drones. These drones will then deliver millions of meals and other packages in the real world.**\n\n##About OneSecondDelivery\nWe are creating a food delivery app that uses autonomous drones to deliver the food. We deliver everything 5 times faster and 100 times cheaper, thanks to small autonomous delivery-robots. The company was founded in 2017 by a leading expert on drone legislation and a successful e-commerce entrepreneur. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technologyโs Vice Presidency of Innovation has recognized the large potential of this project and has supported us with the XGrant Prize and other resources.\n\nYou can check out our website OneSec.com for more info\n\n##Job Description\nOneSec is building one of the largest machine learning projects in the drone industry.\nWith our own photorealistic flight simulator, and a fleet of prototype drones, we are building one of the largest depth perception datasets in the world, with 60 million training samples. As well as an unsupervised pre-training pipeline with 400 million training samples. We are building a large computer cluster of NVIDIA and Tenstorrent chips to scale up our machine learning project to this scale. \n\n####Your job has 3 components:\n* Neural network training and optimization\n* Dataset management and generation\n* Supporting our hardware team in building up our exaflop-scale machine learning cluster\n\n####Here are some of the Neural Networks you will be building:\n\n-Delivery surface finder:\nA neural net that picks the optimal delivery surface within a balcony or backyard of a customer.\nUsually this will be a table or chair or a section of the floor that has enough clearance.\n\n-OneSec Fruxel Depthmap:\nThis is a convolutional neural network that takes camera images and generates a 3D representation of the space around the drone. Our pathplanner then uses this depthmap to plan a collision free path for the drone. This neural network represents the core of our autopilot system. \n\n-Delivery Clearance Model:\nThis model checks the camera images to see if the scene is safe to approach. We don't fly into a balcony if there's a human or dog in it. And when we approach a restaurant to pickup a package, we make sure the scene is clear of humans, pets etc.\n\n###Requirements\n* The most important thing is that you are excited about this project, and like the mission of our company.\n* Knowledgeable about machine learning and neural networks. Both practical and theoretical.\n* Experience with computer vision and convolutional networks\n* Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow\n* Good computer skills, and general tech savvy: you will do many tasks like setting up recording devices to record datasets, creating small python programs for dataset labelling and management, post processing large image datasets etc.\n\n###Benefits:\n* Take part in a huge success story\n* Flexible work schedule\n* Competitive cash compensation\n* Equity compensation (become a partner in the company) \n\nPlease mention the words **AUTHOR EXCHANGE MARKET** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMTguMTg4LjE3MS41Mw==). **About Us**\n\nNannyML is an early stage venture funded start-up. At NannyML we build enterprise software for supervising and correcting ML systems in production. That includes detecting data and concept drift, estimating performance loss and suggesting corrective actions as well as a dashboard that presents all these insights for business and technical users. Our goal is to ensure that ML systems keep adding value and that insights that can be extracted from ML systems are clearly communicated to business stakeholders. We want to make ML in production effortless to interact with and extract value from.\n\n\n\n**About the Role**\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build a great product. You will be working closely with the founding team. Our expertise is in leveraging business information, exploiting data and prototyping data solutions. Your expertise comes in to complement the team: you will be responsible for product development from the software and data engineering side: from designing engineering processes, brainstorming with the founders, through prototyping and first implementation to architectural choices and frameworks. You will have the ownership and the decision making power to shape everything that lies between product and research. As we grow NannyML we expect you to grow with us. We envision your path may grow your position into VP of engineering or similar.\n\nWe are an early stage startup, and so you will wear many hats and be expected to do what's needed for the company to succeed, including working on things that you don't know anything about and at weird times from time to time โ we all are. You will have the opportunity to get meaningfully involved in the areas of product, engineering, hiring and people management among others.\n\nWe value freedom with responsibility, transparency and a growth mindset. We believe in generating our own luck by trying out new stuff, always asking, constantly learning, reading and meeting new people with different world-views. We value trying new things, and appreciate that from time to time things may break in the process.
