Zuplo is building the first developer-focused API Management solution. We are a small team of developers that are passionate about building amazing developer experiences. Zuplo was founded 18 months ago and is well financed. We move fast, we ship code, and each team member is responsible for owning a significant portion of our product. We are a fully remote company, but we do like to get together usually twice per year. Ealier this year we all flew to Cancun Mexico for an all-company offsite. We do prefer that everyone has some overlapping work hours in order to collaborate but we are flexible. As a company, we try to keep meetings to an absolutely minimum and prefer ad-hoc collaboration.

About the Role
We are looking for somebody who can take an ownership role in our primary web app (portal.zuplo.com). This tool is used by our customers to configure and code their API gateways - you can think of it as an admin portal with a light-weight IDE built in. The portal is written in React so previous experience is a plus, but not required. The right candidate for this role is not somebody who just builds features and fixes bugs. This role requires somebody capable of guiding the overall architecture of the portal to ensure it stays performant and that we can continue to ship new features quickly. You will work with other UI developers to ensure best-practices are followed, you will review pull requests, and you will help design new features. Additionally, you will work closely with backend engineers to build the right APIs and systems to support the portal - and help to build them in some cases.

Knowledge And Skills
Proven hands-on backend web development experience.
In-depth understanding of web development and proficient knowledge of Node.js, Javascript, Python.
Strong knowledge of API development and Service Oriented Architectures: Microservices, RESTful.
Deep experience with Git is a must.
Expertise with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from discovery phase to delivery.
Experience with various database systems (SQL, NoSQL, graph). Proven experience with Amazon DynamoDB is a plus.
Experience creating user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
Capability to integrate multiple data sources into one system.
Experience deploying to AWS cloud services: S3, Cloudfront, EC2, API Gateway.
Ability to take concepts into actionable architecture and plans.
Experience building “admin dashboard” applications is a plus.
