If you enjoy working with teams of positive, high-energy people who are experts in their domain, this just might be the right fit for you! \n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs the Senior Accountant, you will collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager to support the Finance team and the continued growth of Subsplash. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, analysis, and innovation of accounting processes.  This role is intended to directly assist the Senior Accounting Manager in technical accounting research, collaboration with internal departments, and supporting third-party financial relationships.  You will drive excellence in general ledger accounting in compliance with GAAP, monthly reporting, and compliance requirements.  You will drive innovation and implement process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements that will be a crucial foundation to keep the company thriving for years to come. \n\nYour Priorities\n\n\n* Contribute to in month-end close through preparation of journal entries and corresponding balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that accruals and other balances are properly stated\n\n* Understand all transactions affecting general ledger accounts, investigate and resolve any anomalies and significant variances\n\n* Collaborate cross-departmentally to support ongoing business processes, drive synergies between internal teams, and create efficiencies to allow greater financial insights\n\n* Lead accounting activities related to acquisition integration, including preparing entries to record proper revenue recognition, purchase accounting and consolidation into the Subsplash financial statements \n\n\n\n\n\n* Drive third-party financial audits through completion of support requests and inquiries\n\n* Prepare and ensure completion of debt covenant reporting requirements\n\n* Conduct technical accounting research, present results to leadership, and update financial records when necessary\n\n* Lead system migrations implementation and innovate utilization of current systems\n\n* Assist with the adoption, documentation, and ongoing requirements of new accounting standards to ensure compliance with GAAP\n\n* Support as needed daily accounting operations, including treasury management and procurement\n\n* Create and maintain reporting metrics in collaboration with the FP&A group\n\n* Document accounting procedures and monitor internal controls\n\n* Work on other special projects related to financial systems and financial statement preparation as assigned\n\n\n\n\nYour Qualifications:\n\n\n* 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, public accounting preferred\n\n* Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting\n\n* CPA license or CPA Candidate strongly preferred\n\n* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel \n\n* Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles\n\n* Willingness to dig into the details, problem solve, and identify opportunities for improvement\n\n* Experience working in SaaS, payment processing, and/or startup environment is a plus\n\n* Demonstrate our core values: Humility, Innovation, and a Drive for Excellence\n\n* Desire to serve faith-based organizations\n\n\n\n\n You are a…\n\n\n* Critical Thinker: You have a knack (and drive) for distinguishing clear priorities and conclusions from ambiguous situations/data\n\n* Puzzle Solver: You easily connect details to broader concepts, and see how things are tied together\n\n* Clear Communicator: You can explain complex ideas to a wide variety of people\n\n* Driver: You are naturally detail and action oriented with a superb ability to make ideas a reality\n\n\n\n\nCompensation\n\n\n* The overall compensation for this position is between $85,000-$110,000/yr depending on experience level.\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\nSubsplash currently has operations in 24 states across the US! In this role you will contribute to many aspects of both income and indirect tax functions. This includes assisting with sales, use and income tax compliance, tax accounting, technical tax research and various other matters related to the Company’s operations.  \n\nCore Responsibilities:\n\n\n* Assist in with preparation of the worldwide quarterly and annual tax provision including supporting documentation for Federal and state tax provisions\n\n* Manage external service providers and review federal and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support\n\n* Collaborate with internal Finance department during month/quarterly closes\n\n* Manage sales & use, property, and local franchise tax returns preparation and filing process\n\n* Manage issues related to abandoned and unclaimed property, work with outside service providers on gathering information for the preparation and filing returns\n\n* Perform tax research as necessary to complete assigned tasks/projects\n\n* Coordinate and run compliance audits and respond to notices and inquiries from tax authorities\n\n* Ensure compliance with SOX controls and reporting as a public company\n\n* Other ad hoc projects as assigned\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience of professional tax experience or comparable industry experience\n\n* BS or BA in Accounting\n\n* MST preferred\n\n* Understanding and knowledge of ASC 740\n\n* Strong analytical ability to identify challenges, provide solutions, and resolve problems in a timely manner\n\n* Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage competing priorities and internal and external deadlines\n\n* Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong attention to detail\n\n* Highly skilled in Excel.
