About the position
You will get to work on some exciting new Roadie features we have in the pipeline, taking problems that our customers face and designing end to end solutions for them. You’ll be responsible for validating a problem or requirement, designing potential solutions, collaborating with the team to design the right solution and then building, deploying it and validating that we’ve solved the problem.
You’ll get to interact daily with our customers who are other developers like us at a broad range of companies like Snyk and Netlify, and will have support and freedom to conduct user testing with them, as well as seeing their reaction to your work and iterating on their feedback.
Our codebase is largely modeled around the open source Backstage project which leverages a decoupled plugin architecture alongside an appropriate level of reusability. This allows for new features to be developed in an independent way and for good design principles to be applied from the start.
We have a highly pragmatic workflow that emphasizes daily collaboration via Slack and Hangouts over rituals and unnecessary meetings. We deploy new versions of our product multiple times a day and look to work on small vertical slices that provide some value over big waterfall feature development.

Tech stack
Nearly all of our code is written in TypeScript. We use React on the frontend, Node/Express on the backend (running inside Docker), GraphQL/Apollo on both sides, and Postgres as our database. We use AWS (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, SNS, and more) and manage all of our infrastructure with Terraform.

3+ years of software development experience
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (Core, DOM APIs)
3+ years of experience with Node.js
Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React.js preferably)
Understanding of and practical experience with SOLID principles and GOF patterns
Understanding of CI principles
Experience with Typescript and React Native would be a plus
Good command of English, both written and spoken, as you’ll be communicating with clients directly

RDX Works is seeking an industrious developer to build the systems that will define the future of decentralized finance (DeFi).
What are we looking for?
You’re a generalist, and have experience building REST services and/or WebSocket backends & enjoy variety in your projects
You like to actively shape designs and play with ideas as you build, and are comfortable with iterating until it feels just right.
You’re able to isolate the 90% case for user experiences. You think in terms of making the most common interactions effortless, rather than making anything possible.
You are adept at going from problem statements to solution design, and then breaking that high-level design down into discrete segments of useful work.
Once you understand a system concept, you are able to identify the highest value area to work on next. You can work towards the desired end state and come up with your own tasks to achieve it along the way.

What do you need?
You will be proven commercial experience as an engineer building consumer-facing products/applications, using TypeScript or JavaScript ES6 for both front & back end development
You will be comfortable using JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, NodeJS or VueJS.
If you have familiarity with the current crypto ecosystem it is a huge plus, but just having the desire to learn will do for us!

We’re looking for seasoned Senior and Lead Ruby on Rails Engineers to join our fully-remote team to help us scale to meet market demand. This is an opportunity to join on the ground floor of a bootstrapped, growing company with a lot of upside.
What we’d want you to do:
Take technical ownership of our product’s architecture and capabilities
Recommend and lead complex refactoring projects and migrations, without sacrificing stability, such as:
Modernizing our back-end stack (we’re currently on Rails 4)
Optimizing our API and PostgreSQL database for scale and performance
Suggest and implement scalability & productivity improvements
Collaborate with the rest of the team in weekly meetings, chat and code reviews
Develop new full-stack features from start to finish using the Shape Up method
You’ll have opportunities to work on the entire stack, from databases to user interfaces and everything in between, in a wide variety of product areas.
You’ll own the delivery of high-impact projects that affect real customers, from start to finish, with no bureaucracy, following the Shape Up method.
You’ll collaborate within a small, highly productive team, reviewing code and helping other engineers with their roadblocks.
You’ll have time to focus. We don’t micromanage, and we do our best to keep distractions (and meetings) to a minimum.
When assigned to on-call duty, you’ll investigate and fix bugs and respond to incidents.
You’ll deploy early and often. We ship to production multiple times per day.
