About Zuplo
Zuplo is building the first developer-focused API Management solution. We are a small team of developers that are passionate about building amazing developer experiences. Zuplo was founded 18 months ago and is well financed. We move fast, we ship code, and each team member is responsible for owning a significant portion of our product. At Zuplo, you are given challenging problems and expected to solve them both independently and collaboratively with the team.
We are a fully remote company, but we do like to get together usually twice per year. Ealier this year we all flew to Cancun Mexico for an all-company offsite. We do prefer that everyone has some overlapping work hours in order to collaborate but we are flexible. As a company, we try to keep meetings to an absolutely minimum and prefer ad-hoc collaboration.
Every employee is provided a top of the line Macbook Pro plus $1000 in expenses to build out your office. We have an unlimited vacation policy with some gently enforced minimums (i.e. we require everyone to take reasonable time off each year). Every employee will receive a fair salary and equity in the company. Employees in the United States receives top-quality health, dental, and vision. In other countries we will work with you to ensure that you have high quality healthcare.
About the Role
We are looking for somebody who can take an ownership role in our primary web app (portal.zuplo.com). This tool is used by our customers to configure and code their API gateways - you can think of it as an admin portal with a light-weight IDE built in. The portal is written in React so previous experience is a plus, but not required. The right candidate for this role is not somebody who just builds features and fixes bugs. This role requires somebody capable of guiding the overall architecture of the portal to ensure it stays performant and that we can continue to ship new features quickly. You will work with other UI developers to ensure best-practices are followed, you will review pull requests, and you will help design new features. Additionally, you will work closely with backend engineers to build the right APIs and systems to support the portal - and help to build them in some cases.
As a rapidly growing company, your job will change from day to day. We expect everyone to jump in and help out when needed. This might mean taking on a customer support ticket, writing documentation, or helping debug a production incident. Everyone at Zuplo shares responsibilities and works together toward a common goal.
Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often donโt apply unless they meet all the job criteria. We arenโt looking for someone who ticks every single box on a page; weโre looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences. If you think youโd be a great fit, then please get in touch to tell us about yourself.
Zuplo is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. Zuplo conducts all employment-related activities without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, citizenship status, genetics, or status as a Vietnam-era special disabled and other covered veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Zuplo participates in E-Verify and will confirm work authorization for candidates residing in the United States.

๐ Vital is looking for a passionate senior engineer to join us on our mission to revolutionise how healthcare is delivered today.
๐ป Vital is an API for at-home health data, and we are making it easy for developers to build virtual-first healthcare apps on top of our platform. We have built a wearables API and at-home test kit API and our current docs can be found atย docs.tryvital.io.
๐ We are a seed-funded startup backed by some of the best investors like Y Combinator.
๐ This is a fully remote position. However, you must be able to provide at least 4 hours of business overlap with GMT. We are not offering any visa sponsorships at this time.
๐ช๐ฝย Some of the early challenges you could be working on:
Reverse engineering API's for wearables/medical devices.
Building a scalable fault-tolerant backend that can handle large amounts of data and the complexity of 50+ 3rd party API integrations.
Building direct integrations to wearable devices and at-home remote patient monitoring devices.
Building pipelines to scale dealing with the legacy labs, i.e. email ordering and scraping
You like to wear many hats. We are a small team, with a lot of things yet to be figured out. You are comfortable operating in such an environment.
You have experience with FHIR and building APIs in digital health.
You are persistent and don't give up easily. A lot of times it's unclear how to reverse engineer some of the clients we integrate with and we will require a lot of patience and out-of-the-box thinking.
Youโre open to working in different tech stacks and jumping to frontend when needed.
