Remote Technical Writer
\nWe are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our Developer Relations team and play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and engaging technical documentation for Optimism’s products and developer tooling. As a Technical Writer, you will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and developer support teams to produce high-quality documentation that enables developers to understand and utilize our products effectively.\nWhat are the role responsibilities?\n\n\n* Produce comprehensive developer documentation, including guides, tutorials, reference material, and release notes.\n\n* Research, analyze, and understand complex technical concepts related to blockchain technology and Web3 protocols.\n\n* Work closely with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.\n\n* Translate technical information into clear and accessible content tailored to various audiences and developer personas.\n\n* Assist and coordinate content improvement efforts through devX research interviews, docs bounties, and docs usability testing.\n\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support documentation needs related to product launches, hackathons, marketing campaigns, and ecosystem contributions.\n\n\n\nWhat skills do you bring?\n\n\n* Technical writing experience with a focus on developer documentation, software documentation, or technical documentation.\n\n* Experience writing about blockchain technology, decentralized applications, smart contracts, and Web3 protocols (e.g., Ethereum, IPFS, Polkadot) or previous contributions to open-source projects or technical communities related to blockchain, cryptocurrency, or Web3.\n\n* Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and accurate documentation for developer audiences.\n\n* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and effectively in a cross-functional team.\n\n* Experience using documentation tools, platforms, and version control systems (e.g., Markdown, Git, Notion, VS Code).\n\n* Self-motivated with a passion for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
