We're creating a more convenient, fun, and responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.\n\nAs a member of Jackpocketโs Fulfillment Tech Team, you will help the company scale its fulfillment systems as it introduces new products and expands into new markets. Weโre looking for an experienced and collaborative engineer who can contribute on a strategic level to mission critical initiatives to improve and scale Jackpocketโs tech infrastructure as the business continues rapid growth. \n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Work alongside developers and SRE to ensure that the system is stable and scaling as designed\n\n* Work with the fulfillment operations team, retailers, and the product team to implement requirements\n\n* Document operations policies and instructions to aid in troubleshooting\n\n* Participate in the architectural evolution of the Jackpocket system\n\n* Profile systems to determine bottlenecks and to forecast system capacity\n\n* Provide support to local lottery fulfillment operations to ensure live systems are performing properly\n\n* Own the scoping and execution of major features from start to finish\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* 7-8+ years as a Software Engineer or a comparable position working with highly scalable systems\n\n* Experience with Elixir \n\n* Experience with full lifecycle design, development, testing, through to deployment\n\n* Hands-on experience with event-driven systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.\n\n* Proficiency with Liveview\n\n* Proficiency with SQL and knowledge of RDBMs such as Postgres\n\n* Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and building resilient systems\n\n* Knowledge of functional programming and architectural design principles \n\n* Able to diagnose live systems and trace errors\n\n\n\n\nThe base compensation range for this role is $170,000-$185,000\n\nThis is a full-time exempt position and is not eligible for overtime under FLSA requirements.
