\nNAVIS is thrilled to be adding an experienced Database Reliability Engineer to our growing team! This is a US-based, virtual / remote position.\n\nDatabase Reliability Engineers (DBRE) are responsible for keeping database systems (this includes NoSQL technologies) that support all user-facing services and internal production systems running smoothly 24/7/365. Successful DBREs at NAVIS are an interwoven blend of database engineering, administration, and software development that apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature software development and automation, specializing in databases (PostgreSQL and MSSQL). In that capacity, DBREs are peers to Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and bring database expertise to the SRE Infrastructure teams as well as our engineering teams.\n\nClick here for a peek inside our Engineering team \n\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\n\n\n* Database performance and reliability\n\n* Optimize queries, indexes, and overall database structure to improve performance\n\n* Work on observability of relevant database metrics and make sure we reach our database objectives\n\n* Design infrastructure to meet business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)\n\n* Provide database expertise to engineering teams (e.g. through reviews of database migrations, queries, and performance optimizations)\n\n* Provide guidance on the right type of datastore, depending on the objectives and workload\n\n* Automation of database infrastructure and help engineering succeed by providing self-service tools\n\n* On-Call support rotation with the team\n\n\n\n\n\nLOCATION & SCHEDULE:\n\nThis position will be full-time remote based in the US. This individual should be willing to work with a team based in the Pacific Time Zone and be able to adjust work hours accordingly. \nSummary\n \n SugarCRM Developer will be responsible for providing development support for client SugarCRM applications. Development will include enhancing elements of the application to better suit user groups, creating/maintaining custom modules and provide general administrative assistance to users. SugarCRM Developer should be familiar with LAMP stacks and be comfortable working with MySQL and RedHat OS.\n \n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\n \n Provide continually evolving reporting on captured sales information utilizing reporting engine and advanced SQL queries\n \n Support LAMP stack (Red Hat OS, Apache, MySQL, PHP) with SugarCRM application\n \n Maintain system automation via internal workflows and created logic hooks\n \n Implement, test and deploy changes from development to staging to live instance including application updates\n \n Create APIs to support integration efforts\n \n Field requests from technical support staff to build and enhance necessary modules\n \n Model and deploy system-generated emails concerning record changes to both internal staff and related customer(s)\n \n Experience/Education Requirements:\n The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:\n \n Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years experience with PHP applications\n \n Language experience: strong PHP skills, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, XML.
