This role will be involved in all facets of the software build process. The development team lead is a part of a fast paced, agile development cycle, which enables the team to create and push new code through our processes quickly and efficiently. This role will mentor and lead other developers on our team, helping them grow in their knowledge of the platform and industry standards while keep your hands in new feature development. The lead will guide the team through the full-life cycle of development, managing their daily workflow, scoping out new work, researching bugs, and aiding different departments in needed requests.\n\nDesired Profile:\n\nSeeing ideas come to life through technology is your passion. You do all this while continuing to keep your hands elbow deep in code and industry trends.\n\nExperience:\n\n\n* 3+ years managing daily activities of a development team in a SaaS environment\n\n* 3+ years working in an agile environment\n\n* 5+ years working withC based language, PHP required\n\n\n* OOP standards knowledge\n\n* Experience with a framework (Laravel 5, Symfony 1.x or 2.x, Zend, etc.)\n\n\n\n\n\n* 5+ years experience MySQL\n\n\n* Experience in database design\n\n* Experience writing procedures and triggers\n\n\n\n\n\n* 5+ years JS experience\n\n\n* Experience with using various libraries (Bootstrap, Prototype, jQuery, etc.)\n\n* Experience coding browser compatible JS without the use of a library\n\n\n\n\n\n* 5+ years experience working with API’s (AuthNet, Paypal, Salesforce, Mailgun)\n\n* 3+ years experience with code management software, GIT preferred (SVN, CVS, etc.)\n\n* 3+ years HTML experience\n\n\n* Experience building html pages and emails\n\n* Experience working in software with pre-built pages and ability to keep the coding and the look and feel consistent\n\n\n\n\n\n* 3+ years CSS experience\n\n\n* Experience working with web pages or software that requires a common look and feel using standard, accepted CSS\n\n\n\n\n\n* 3+ years working on a live SaaS product\n\n* 3+ years CLI (command line interface) experience\n\n\n* Comfortable using basic commands in a Linux environment\n\n* VIM experience\n\n* Accessing and using MySQL through a CLI\n\n\n\n\n\n* Experience with email deliverability a plus\n\n* Nonprofit experience a plus\n\n\n\n\nCompetencies / Work Style:\n\n\n* Strong mentoring skill set\n\n* Attention to detail\n\n* Effective communicator\n\n* Flexible, can handle changes in direction and interruptions\n\n* Effectively manages deadlines and deliverables across team\n\n* Accurately estimates timelines for projects across team\n\n* Firm grasp of personal strengths and weaknesses\n\n* Excellent listener with an openness to other’s ideas\n\n\n\n\n\n* Willingness to learn\n\n* Receives and offers constructive feedback in a positive manner\n\n\n\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\n\n* Manage daily workflow, prioritizing items as needed for app development team\n\n* Create coherent, well structured design plans for CoS (Conditions of Satisfaction)\n\n* Collaborate with team to review, size, and work down feature backlog\n\n* Support recruiting process to phone screen, in-person interview, select and onboard top talent\n\n* Provide performance feedback to team members on an informal basis (daily/weekly) as well as a formal basis (annual review) to support team member growth\n\n* Lead and be actively involved in the code and functional reviews of developer work, being able to spot logic and functional issues and effectively communicate feedback\n\n* Work with support to diagnose client specific issues as they relate to the various facets of our product\n\n* Code according to industry and team standards, adhering to OOP principles\n\n* Share knowledge with other team members by providing feedback and offering guidance from your experience\n\n* Work with QA team to pass off feature and bug fixes for testing with clear, comprehensive test cases, providing guidance on new features and impacted parts of the product\n\n* Lead and actively engage other team members during meetings to discuss backlog items, design issues, and best coding practices\n\n* Document processes, features and functions in a development Wiki\n\n* Participate in SaaS product roadmap process\n\n* Reward and celebrate the team for work well done\n\n\n\n\nLocation:\n\nThis position will be based out of our Corporate Office in Dallas, TX.
