Our fast-paced emerging growth company is looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Engineer to support our triple-digit annual user growth.  You will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and passionate culture looking to make a difference.\n\n\nAs a Senior Ruby On Rails Engineer, you'll work on a closely-knit team with a technology stack built on top of Ruby on Rails 5.1.  We like to work with modern technologies, always try to do what is best for the customer and put more value on teamwork than rock stars and cowboys.\n\n\nKey Responsibilities:​​\n\n\n\n* Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code\n\n* Lead the technical design and development of major platform components to help the Epion platform scale with our explosive user growth.\n\n* Actively promote code quality, organization and automatization\n\n* Build new features to improve patient experience and medical staff efficiency\n\n* Shape our product roadmaps by being data-driven and creative\n\n* Use and promote TDD best practices\n\n* Pair program with team members of different experiences\n\n* Be a mentor when you have the expertise / Be a student when someone else does\n\n\n\n\n\nRequired Experience or Skills:\n\n\n\n* 5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails\n\n* Expert knowledge of feature/end-to-end and unit tests\n\n* Strong JavaScript skills\n\n* Experience developing with at least one modern JavaScript library (Angular, React, VueJS, Ember, etc.) \n\n* Experience in a startup environment with a lot of autonomy\n\n* Experience working with a Continuous Integration environment (CircleCI, Codeship, Jenkins, etc.)\n\n* Understanding and commitment to Agile processes\n\n* Great communication, particularly in explaining your coding processes, suggestions for best practices, and identifying ways to improve the team's coding quality\n\n\n\n\n\nDesired Skills & Experience: \n\n\n\n* Angular experience, in particular, a strong plus\n\n* Previous experience with HL7 and FHIR\n\n* Previous experience with Docker\n\n* Previous experience with Swift or other iOS development\n\n* Experience with Compile to Native JS frameworks (Cordova, Ionic, React Native, etc.) \n\n\n\n\n\nYou'll get:\n\n\n\n* Competitive salary with health benefits including medical, dental and vision\n\n* Latest Apple products for your working needs\n\n* Reimbursement options for classes or conferences\n\n* Gym membership discount (Crunch Gym is in our building)\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere:\n\n\n\n* We prefer local candidates to either our Hoboken, NJ or Boston, MA offices\n\n* Will consider remote for the right hire\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Ruby, Senior, Engineer, React, JavaScript and Medical jobs that are similar:\n\n $65,000 — $122,500/year\n
