InvergeHQ is hiring a

Remote Full Stack Developer

InvergHQ is Hiring a Full Stack Developer as their second technical hire. Theyโ€™ll be working directly with the CTO and the other founders. This is an opportunity to be an early hire, work in all parts of the system, and help a fast-growing business go to the next level.\n\n## Who We Are\n\nAt its core, Inverge is a platform that helps brands and wholesalers connect with their retailers and gives everyone the tools they need to sell more easily and efficiently.\n\nOur users are able to have one tool to get their products in the hands of customers anywhere they are with minimal effort. They can dive in deep and run every aspect of their business or just use a single piece. This could be a brand connecting to thousands of retailers across the country for both drop shipping and replenishment, sharing a single uniform catalog, managing all of their warehousing and fulfillment for orders coming from any channel; be that a retailer, B2B website, marketplace, or B2C website. This could also be a small store looking to simplify its inventory management and understand its customers better.\n\nOur existing team is composed of three founders. All are based in the areas surrounding New York City.\n\nSince our soft launch, weโ€™ve been able to attract well-known brands and as we gear up for a formal launch and an aggressive marketing/sales initiative, weโ€™re expanding our team.\n\nWe are preparing to grow rapidly and are looking for the right person to join us. This will be a critical role in our technology growth and will work directly with the Co-Founder and CTO.\n\nHaving your hands in all parts of the system, youโ€™ll have an opportunity to build a team around you and shape how we serve our users.\n\n## About the Role\n\nThis is an opportunity to face a variety of challenges and find what excites you.\n\nIf you love data, analyzing it, and building algorithms to make peoplesโ€™ lives easier, there are tons of opportunities for that.\n\nIf you love communicating with different APIs and bringing information together, the opportunities are virtually limitless.\n\nIf you love taking things apart and seeing how you can make them work better or simplify things, there is plenty of opportunity for that.\n\nIf you love solving problems we are a team that loves to find the hardest problems and work together to solve them.\n\nOur team is curious and always looking to grow and learn.\n\nYouโ€™ll have your hands in the entire system. This will include updating and optimizing existing features, fixing bugs, and developing new features.\n\nYouโ€™ll also be critical in our transition to a serverless API-based architecture and will be facilitating that process. Youโ€™ll have an important role in implementing the standards and procedures needed for collaboration as we grow our development team.\n\nThe job will start full-time and from the beginning youโ€™ll be working closely with the CTO to be trained on the usage of the in-house built PHP MVC dependency injection framework that the main application is built on. Once a fundamental understanding is reached, youโ€™ll jump right in on projects that need to be addressed right away which will grow in complexity as their experience grows.\n\nThis hire weโ€™re making will be the second technical member on the team and will play a critical role in the initial growth of the company. Youโ€™ll be working with the entire founding team but primarily with the CTO.\n\nIn the beginning, youโ€™ll be working primarily with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery. This will transition into primarily Node.js and Serverless Framework replacing the PHP. To a lesser extent at the beginning, you will also be working with React and React Native. You will be building on AWS using EC2, RDS, Elasticache, Lambda, and API Gateway. The collaboration will happen using Git (Bitbucket), Jira, and Trello.\n\nOur day-to-day direct communication is through Slack and email. We manage projects and the roadmap using Trello and Jira. We manage the codebase using Bitbucket.\n\nThe start date is as soon as possible. We are beginning to scale and need to grow our team to continue the development of and maintain our current platform.\n\n## Projects and Day to Day Work\n\nThere is a significant amount of autonomy. There are clear goals and priorities but the actual implementation and timing are flexible. For the most part, our new hire is expected to be self-motivated and complete their work. Youโ€™ll have access to the rest of the team as needed but shouldnโ€™t expect to be babysat as long as their work is being completed.\n\nA majority of your time initially will be spent working on the existing PHP/MySQL application. We have many features that need to be added on an ongoing basis. There are also numerous areas that need optimization or tweaks to simplify support. This will range from developing stand-alone applications such as activity tracking across the entire application to adding an interface for changing the comparison date on a sales dashboard to debugging image ordering in existing API integration to developing an entirely new API integration for managing products, inventory, and orders. That initial work will transition to developing these features in the serverless architecture using Node.js.\n\nWe are in the process of exposing the entire application via API. A major part of this role will be assisting in this transition, slowly swapping out the PHP backend with a new implementation in Node.js. You would be expected to have good fundamentals and ability to code in PHP but primarily be experienced in and interested in Node development.\n\n## Long Term and Growth\n\nIn the long term, this person will be managing a team, setting priorities, and overseeing development.\n\nYou will have the opportunity to work with a variety of languages and frameworks. You will not be expected to know everything but show a track record of being curious and wanting to learn. There will be a lot of opportunities to find the projects that you find the most interesting, be it integrating with different APIs or optimizing AWS infrastructure, or developing Native modules. You are coming into a company with a solid foundation at a time when everything is being looked at for improvement. You will hopefully have a huge say in how things are structured and how projects are prioritized.\n\n## Who You Are\n\nWe are looking for someone who is self-motivated and ready to take initiative. We are not looking for someone who needs to be told what to do on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who loves solving problems but doesnโ€™t always go with the first thing that comes to mind. You also consider how this solution might be able to solve the next problem too while being mindful of when spending more time on something in the short term is appropriate. You will be working in a rapidly changing environment and will not be expected to know everything but be very interested in learning new things. Youโ€™ll be expected to have worked on teams in production environments and bring their experience and best practices to aid us in this growth period.\n\n## Required Skills\n\n* PHP\n* Nodejs\n* Typescript\n* MySQL\n* HTML/CSS/jQuery\n* Linux\n\n## Nice to Have Skills\n\n* TypeORM\n* Express\n* React/React Native\n* Serverless\n\n## Required Experience\n\n* API integrations\n* Using existing SDK as well as from the ground up\n* Decent UI/UX skillsโ€“by no means Rembrandt but able to make things logical to use and good to look at\n* Standard Git use\n* Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on AWS\n* EC2\n* RDS\n* ELB\n* S3\n* Lambda\n* API Gateway\n\nBackground in eCommerce or understanding of retail is a big plus. We are always needing to put ourselves in the shoes of our clients to figure out the best way to solve the next problem and if you donโ€™t know what an SKU or a PO is itโ€™ll be hard to do that.\n\nLocation: At least a partial day overlap with a standard EST workday.\n\nIf you think youโ€™d be a good fit, weโ€™d love to hear from you!\n\n*Inverge asks respectfully to only apply through the application form and do not email/apply directly to Inverge. Any applications sent directly to Inverge will not be considered. Recruiters and Agencies please do not contact Inverge directly.* \n\nPlease mention the word **PERFECTION** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $90,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nRemote in Europe, North America, and South America

[Remote OK](https://remoteok.io) is looking to hire a Full Stack Engineer. With that we mean a generalist software engineer focused on product outcomes rather than any specific part of the stack or language. You need to be more frontend focused than a typical programmer, and re-use any API or backend that exists to get the job done.\n\nThis is a full-time position.\n\n# Responsibilities\n- keep existing features working (we monitor most pages and API endpoints every minute)\n- fix bugs that might come up (we have live PHP/JS bug tracking)\n- build new features, that means coding the client side part of it (usually plain JS or w/ jQuery, but without fancy frameworks), and the back end side of it (usually plain PHP with SQLite)\n- ship fast and iterate based on customer feedback (right now we deploy CI/CD-style about 50 times per day)\n\n# Impact\n- you work on sites that get over 1.4 billion requests per year used by over 1 million people per month\n- you learn how to ship fast with a laser focus on building what customers want while learning how to market those new features directly to an audience\n\n# You should be\n- autonomous and be able to figure things out for yourself, but I might go AWOL for awhile, so you need to make the best choices yourself how to fix something, or how to build a new feature\n- not wanting to do things the proper overengineering way with Kubernetes clusters and Docker and multi layered sharded databases to scale like in BigCo tech enterprise; doing things proper is good but making customer's happy is the #1 priority, quickly made scrappy code can always be refactored later if a feature starts making money, instead of proper code that took a long time to write for a feature that nobody ends up using\n\n# You'll work in a team with\n- a Site Reliability Engineer, who keeps the sites up\n- a Community Manager, who keeps the Remote OK community safe\n- a Customer Service Specialist, who keeps our customers happy\n\n \n\nPlease mention the words **PITCH CAPITAL OBLIGE** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Location\nWorldwide

* ๐Ÿ’ชBuild Your Team\n* ๐Ÿ’ธ $350 Referral Bonus \n* ๐Ÿ•˜ Partial day overlap EST\n* ๐Ÿ”‘ Work with the Founders\n* ๐Ÿ’ก 3-7 Years of Experience\n* ๐Ÿ—บ Anywhere in the United States or Europe\n\n**Get Paid**: If you recommend this job to the person that gets hired, we will give you a $350 referral bonus! How will we contact you about giving you your bonus? Tell your referral to list your name and/or email in the โ€œHow did you hear about this job?โ€ question. Once theyโ€™re hired, weโ€™ll make sure you get paid.\n\n## Summary\n\nInvergHQ is Hiring a Full Stack Developer as their second technical hire. Theyโ€™ll be working directly with the CTO and the other founders. This is an opportunity to be an early hire, work in all parts of the system, and help a fast-growing business go to the next level.\n\n## Who We Are\n\nAt its core, [Inverge](https://invergehq.com/) is a platform that helps brands and wholesalers connect with their retailers and gives everyone the tools they need to sell more easily and efficiently.\n\nOur users are able to have one tool to get their products in the hands of customers anywhere they are with minimal effort. Youโ€™ll be expected to have worked on teams in production environments and bring their experience and best practices to aid us in this growth period.\n\n## Required Skills\n\n* PHP\n* Node.js\n* Typescript\n* MySQL\n* HTML/CSS/jQuery\n* Linux\n\n## Nice to Have Skills\n\n* TypeORM\n* Express\n* React/React Native\n* Serverless\n\n## Required Experience\n\n* API integrations\n* Using existing SDK as well as from the ground up\n* Decent UI/UX skillsโ€“by no means Rembrandt but able to make things logical to use and good to look at\n* Standard Git use\n* Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on AWS\n* EC2\n* RDS\n* ELB\n* S3\n* Lambda\n* API Gateway\n\nBackground in eCommerce or understanding of retail is a big plus. We are always needing to put ourselves in the shoes of our clients to figure out the best way to solve the next problem and if you donโ€™t know what an SKU or a PO is itโ€™ll be hard to do that.\n\nLocation: At least a partial day overlap with a standard EST workday.\n\nIf you think youโ€™d be a good fit, weโ€™d love to hear from you!\n\nInverge asks respectfully to only apply through the application form and do not email/apply directly to Inverge. Any applications sent directly to Inverge will not be considered. Recruiters and Agencies please do not contact Inverge directly. \n\nPlease mention the words **SEGMENT FLOAT PRIMARY** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $80,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nUnited States or Europe

* ๐Ÿ•˜ Flexible Hours\n* ๐Ÿ’ธ $350 Referral Bonus\n* ๐Ÿ—บ Anywhere in the World\n* ๐Ÿ’ก 3+ Years of Experience\n* ๐Ÿ”‘ Work with the Founders\n\n**Get Paid**: If you recommend this job to the person that gets hired, we will give you a $350 referral bonus! How will we contact you about giving you your bonus? Tell your referral to list your name and/or email in the โ€œHow did you hear about this job?โ€ question. Once theyโ€™re hired, weโ€™ll make sure you get paid.\n\n## About Us\n\n[SegMetrics](https://segmetrics.io/) is a bootstrapped marketing analytics platform thatโ€™s focused on making marketing optimization a snap for digital marketers โ€” now with 85% less pivot tables.\n\nWeโ€™re passionate about enabling digital marketers to better understand their leads, and more easily optimize their marketing funnels. We believe that marketers should have the best tools at their fingertips, and not need a degree in advanced statistics to make actionable marketing decisions.\n\nWeโ€™re looking for an experienced, data-driven (or data-curious) full-stack developer to join us. This is a full-time, remote position with a flexible schedule, but we try to be available during main US business hours.\n\nYou might be a perfect fit if youโ€™re someone whoโ€™s into marketing analytics, building new ways of looking at, and working with, data โ€” or you like working with large amounts of data at scale.\n\nIn analytics, there are a hundred different ways to get the end result โ€” if youโ€™re someone who likes solving those types of puzzles, youโ€™ll definitely fit in.\n\n## About the Role\n\nWe strive to make working at SegMetrics a unique experience where you can learn and grow in a fast-growing company. We have a team full of truly exceptional people who are fun to work with, and at the top of their game. Hereโ€™s how we operate:\n\n**Responsibility and Empowerment**\n\nAt SegMetrics, we appreciate, respect, and trust the expertise and judgment of our developers. We try our best to empower them to do what they think is right.\n\nWe also work collaboratively. We continuously seek the right amount of structure and unity necessary to maximize productivity. Where it makes sense, we designate someone to make a call.\n\nEven though our developers are right a lot, itโ€™s okay to make mistakes here. Exploration and calculated risks are vital to velocity and growth. We freely admit when weโ€™re wrong. If something doesnโ€™t go as expected, we learn, bounce back, and make corrections.\n\nYou wonโ€™t be alone; others will be there to help, review, reassure, and back you up. We own our processes and collective outcomes as a team.\n\n**Live Where You Want**\n\nWeโ€™re a distributed team, so you can live and work wherever you want, as long as itโ€™s somewhere between the US Pacific and the Central European Time Zone. Proximity doesnโ€™t influence productivity. Just make sure you have a reliable internet connection. Developers need to be available between 8am PST - 3pm PST normal business hours.\n\n**No Crazy Hours**\n\nWe want everyone to have a full life outside of SegMetrics. We seldom work more than 40 hours per week. There have been rare occasions where things got a little crazy, and people logged some extra hours. But then they took additional time off to balance it all out. We work hard and smart, but weโ€™re in this for the long haul; thereโ€™s no need to go crazy on the hours. We focus on what we get done, not how long you can sit in a chair.\n\n## You, Our New Full Stack Developer\n\nYouโ€™re a Full Stack developer with at least three years of experience building, shipping, monitoring, and maintaining Laravel SaaS apps at scale (not just websites).\n\nSome client-side experience is required as a minimum, meaning you know enough HTML/CSS/some-client-side-framework to get stuff on the screen. We are a small, cross-functional team, and you will likely find yourself responsible for implementation on both the back-end (Laravel and MySQL), as well as the front-end (using Vue).\n\nYou have experience with servers and infrastructure, although you probably wouldnโ€™t call yourself โ€œdev ops.โ€ You could help in architecting and maintaining scalable solutions.\n\nYouโ€™ll do things like help vet and improve our server-side layer, implement new features, integrate with third-party APIs, and manage our application.\n\n**Examples of things you might be working on at SegMetrics:**\n\n* Integrating with 3rd party APIs like Email Service Providers, Payment Gateways and Ad Platforms\n* Profiling our data importers to understand where bottlenecks are in our queue processes and acting on the information to reduce server load\n* Helping improve our public and private APIs to make them easier for external and internal developers to use\n* Working with our database queries to make sure that our data collection and analytics are speedy for our customers\n* Adding new visualizations or report types to help customers better understand their marketing data\n* Updating behavior or adding a new UI component to our web app\n* Writing automated tests for new features or improving our existing test suites\n* Submitting and reviewing PRs in BitBucket, collaborating in Clubhouse, and jumping on a Slack call to get an extra pair of eyes on a gnarly bug\n\n## Youโ€™re the one weโ€™re looking for if\n\n* You are a full-stack developer, with 3+ years experience in PHP Laravel + Vue development as well as experience with building analytical queries in MySQL\n* You are passionate about analytics and data sleuthing\n* You enjoy the MarTech space and are interested in the problems that they encounter\n* You enjoy a challenge and figuring out how to solve problems in a way that helps all customers, not just an individual problem\n* You are eager to learn new things\n* You can ship code and features reliably\n* You can function well with minimal oversight, work remotely, and\n* You are proactive about solving problems and will seek out things that can be improved\n* Work well in a team environment\n* You are able to keep a good work-life balance. We do not expect โ€œbutts in seatsโ€ but are focused on consistently completing objectives & shipping solid code\n\n## You probably arenโ€™t the one weโ€™re looking for if\n\n* You need to be told what to work on next\n(No shame on this. Just not the role weโ€™re looking for)\n* You havenโ€™t worked on a production app in the past\n* You donโ€™t work well with project managers or deadlines\n* You arenโ€™t responsive through asynchronous communication channels like Slack\n* You have the design sense of a drunk hamster\n(weโ€™re not looking for amazing, but better than purple-and-orange-buttons-on-green-background)\n* You donโ€™t go out looking for problems to solve\n* You canโ€™t build out a feature plan from a customer request\n* You are anti-marketing / feel that pixel tracking is an abomination for the web\n(We donโ€™t disagree, but it helps to not hold our customers in contempt)\n\nP.S. If this position isnโ€™t right for you at this time, but you know someone else who might be interested, weโ€™d really appreciate it if you pass this along! \n\nPlease mention the words **PROTECT BEST BEYOND** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). **$120k/year. 100% remote. Flexible schedule.**\n\nSoflyy is seeking an experienced full stack engineer to help us build the next iteration of our state-of-the-art drag & drop website builder for WordPress.\n\nYou can do l33tcode? More power to you. But we donโ€™t care. \n\n**We are looking for people that can craft quality software.**\n\nOn top of software engineering abilities, here's what we care about:\n - UI / UX\n - Ability to design solutions that are good both from a technical standpoint and from a user standpoint - i.e. clean code, good architecture, good UI/UX\n - Ability to take on a product ownership role - we say "build feature X" and give you wide latitude to build whatever you feel is best, and you bring us a kick-ass version of feature X \n\nAs a fully-remote team, we don't care what time zone you're in or at what times you're working. We only care about the quality of your work. We keep meetings and chat to the absolute minimum to foster focus-time.\n\nYou'll spend a lot of time in Vue (with TypeScript and Vuex), but you're also expected to work with WordPress APIs and PHP. We do E2E testing with Cypress, and integration and unit tests with Jest.\n\nKnowledge of Vue is a plus, but if you're experienced with React jumping ship is easy enough - weโ€™ve done it, and our codebase follows best-practices to make it easy to understand everything.\n\nYou're expected to be self driven, solve problem and make decisions on your own. We trust you to create the best product you can (you can always ask for help though!).\n\nWe consider good communication skills very important because of the above.\n\n**Our stack:**\n - Vue (w/ Vuetify and Vuex)\n - PHP\n - WordPress\n - TypeScript (strict mode, 100% coverage)\n - Psalm (static analysis for PHP, similar to TypeScript)\n - Cypress / Jest\n - GitHub\n\n**Requirements**\n\nMust haves:\n - Vue / React / Angular experience\n - PHP experience\n - All the other usual stuff (knowledge of Git & CSS, common sense, etc.)\n\nNice to have:\n - An eye for design\n - TypeScript experience is a plus\n - WordPress experience is a plus\n - Knowledge of testing modern apps is a plus\n\n**How We Work**\n\nYouโ€™ll be working closely with the founder (me, Louis), three other senior engineers, and one designer.\n\nEverything is async. We avoid meetings and interruptions.\n\nWe use GitHub and Basecamp to track tasks and monitor progress. Instead of a daily standup, everyone posts progress updates in Basecamp. A list of GitHub issues will be assigned to you, and youโ€™ll implement the fixes and features in them and then submit a PR, which will be reviewed by one of the other engineers or the founder.\n\nVery occasionally weโ€™ll do a Zoom call to go over something, but thatโ€™s rare (think 1 or 2 per month).\n\nIn the beginning, weโ€™re happy to do as many Zoom calls as you want to get you onboarded and up to speed.\n\nItโ€™s very easy to get started and youโ€™ll be shipping features in no time. The last two engineers we hired did less than one day of onboarding on Zoom, and were shipping significant features at the end of their first week.\n\nOur code base is high quality and very well-architected. We have CI, automated testing, TypeScript on strict mode, types on our PHP, etc.\n\n**What We Offer**\n - $120,000k/year\n - Fully remote\n - No scheduling requirements - you can work whenever you want\n - A work environment free from politics / meetings / interruptions / bs\n - No overtime / crunch time / rushing / stress. We are a calm company: https://basecamp.com/books/calm\n - $2k/year learning materials budget\n\n**Interview Process**\n\nEmail Louis (the founder): [email protected].\n\nIf you sound like a good fit, weโ€™ll schedule a short interview (~1 hour on Zoom) where weโ€™ll have a conversation and ask some questions to get a sense of your software engineering abilities and experience. And of course weโ€™re happy to answer any questions you have about us.\n\nYou will be asked a few coding questions. If you are proficient in JavaScript and PHP, youโ€™ll know the answers. There are no algorithms/leetcode questions. The questions touch on practical and common tasks, such as working with arrays.\n\nWe are expecting to make a hiring decision in the next ~3 weeks. We are flexible, and are happy to give you some time to wind things down at your current position if necessary. \n\nPlease mention the words **OLIVE SUGGEST PAYMENT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). The last engineer we hired did less than one day of onboarding on Zoom, and was shipping significant features at the end of the first week. \n\nOur code base is high quality and very well-architected. We have CI, automated testing, TypeScript on strict mode, types on our PHP, etc. \n\n**What We Offer**\n\n* $120,000k/year\n* Fully remote\n* No scheduling requirements - you can work whenever you want \n* A work environment free from politics / meetings / interruptions / bs\n* No overtime / crunch time / rushing / stress. We are a calm company: https://basecamp.com/books/calm\n* $2k/year learning materials budget\n\n**Interview Process**\n\nEmail Louis (the founder): [email protected]. \n\nIf you sound like a good fit, weโ€™ll schedule a short interview (~1 hour on Zoom) where weโ€™ll have a conversation and ask some questions to get a sense of your software engineering abilities and experience. And of course weโ€™re happy to answer any questions you have about us.\n\nYou will be asked a few coding questions. If you are proficient in JavaScript and PHP, youโ€™ll know the answers. There are no algorithms/leetcode questions. The questions touch on practical and common tasks, such as working with arrays. \n\nWe are expecting to make a hiring decision in the next ~3 weeks. We are flexible, and are happy to give you some time to wind things down at your current position if necessary. \n \n\nPlease mention the words **FLEE CHICKEN PRISON** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4xMg==). \nThe Full-Stack Software Engineer collaborates with a team to build engaging and effective user experiences for the Etsy community. \n\nEtsy is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. Our marketplace has an abundance of one-of-a-kind items from independent artists, designers and vintage collectors from around the world. Our challenge? Make it easier for buyers to find these remarkable goods and for creative entrepreneurs to run their businesses. Do you have the skills, passion and empathy to take on this task? Are you excited about building products that thrill our buyers and empower millions of small businesses?\n\nAbout the Team\n\nThe technical staff at Etsy believes that code is craft, and that the work we do is part of a larger creative culture represented by the hundreds of thousands of inspired artists and designers who make Etsy such a unique marketplace. We believe that small, empowered, self-motivated teams can do big things. We believe in measuring everything, taking advantage of our pioneering continuous deployment system to ship code early and often, and a blameless culture based on trust and a commitment to learning. We primarily write in PHP and JavaScript as well as in Go and Java. Our product engineering teams have recently shipped projects like a unified and redesigned set of seller tools, a better recommendation and personalization experience for buyers, and a system to allow buyers and sellers to communicate more effectively about variations on their orders. Learn more about our engineering philosophies, tools, and some of the challenges we’ve been solving on our Engineering blog: http://codeascraft.com/\n\nAbout the Role\n\nYou'll be helping us build delightful products and experiences for people buying and selling with Etsy. In the Senior Full-Stack Engineering role you will be contributing at all levels of our web application stack, ranging from back-end technologies (PHP, MySQL, Memcache) to front-end web interfaces (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). The teams working on each feature are small, so there's a lot of meaningful collaboration between engineers, product managers, and designers. We believe strongly in using both quantitative and qualitative methods to guide decisions. To that end, you'll be able to use our in-house analytics tools to gather information and gain insights. With a strong focus on creative entrepreneurs, you will work closely alongside our research team, go on studio visits, and discover insights in our forums. You'll also be able to use Etsy's Continuous Deployment architecture to push code to production early and often (and you'll probably push in your first week here).\n\nAbout You\n\nYou’re an engineer who can turn ideas into extremely reliable code that other people – or you, six months into the future – will find easy to comprehend and modify. You believe in the connective power of Etsy’s peer-to-peer marketplace and helping creative entrepreneurs scale their business to achieve their dreams.\n\nAbout the Location\n\nOur engineers are concentrated in our Brooklyn HQ and San Francisco offices but are located all over the US. We believe that open communication and effective teamwork can happen regardless of where you sit, and we’ll provide you with tools to make sure that happens. Your laptop will come with our video conferencing software pre-installed, so you can always join in on meetings and catch up face-to-face with your team regardless of where in the world you or they are.\n\nYou will be successful in this role if you:\n\n\n* Can define and solve unconstrained problems, and know when to seek help when no progress is being made.\n\n* Are comfortable collaborating closely with product managers and designers, providing estimates or product ideas that will influence your team’s roadmap.\n\n* Have a “leave it better than you found it” mentality, and are willing to work with and improve on code you did not originally write.\n\n* Love to experiment and use data to drive decision-making.\n\n* Are generous with your time and experience, and can mentor other engineers.\n\n* Will be a mindful, transparent, and communicative member of your team.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Engineer, Full Stack, Developer, Digital Nomad, JavaScript, Video, PHP and Senior jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $120,000/year\n
